- the Destroyer P5 rods from MegaBass are my favorite rod line up to date...
the Super Destroyer is close to if not my Favorite rod in that lineup...
it's the perfect blend of power and action to be able to use for multiple baits..
whether it be because of weight or size of hooks some rods struggle with being versatile and in today's market of making technique specific actions it can be even harder to find versatile rods... the P5 graphite is basically five layers of graphite laid out in different angles which creates a forgiving or parabolic action without sacrificing power... - กีฬา
Cant wait for blade video. Im still going back and forth between the blade, and SD.
It'll be out tomorrow morning what are you main thing you're planning on throwing wanting to do with the rod
@@bassnbonsai wobbleheads 3/8oz +plasics, 3/4oz spinners, 1/2oz frogs, 3/8oz buzzbaits plus plastics, 1/4oz free rigs... I guess I'm wondering how light the rod will throw? I think for me 3/4 is pretty much the limit of what i'd be throwing so I'm looking for a rod that will be good at bottom contact while also throwing the largest weight range and variety of presentations up to about 3/4oz.
Well if you're throwing bottom bouncing more than moving baits I'd probably get the Madbull over either of these two but moving baits and occasionally bottom bouncing the blade for all around 1/2oz moving stuff
Thanks.
You have a Madbull it’s my fav rod
Why do you think
megabass has made the end handle so short? I have built mine 5 cm longer. I Think it is difficult to grab when casting
An interesting, objective review of som very nice, premium, but expensive gear. I am curious though, if you were going to buy a rod in the under $200 category, what rod or rods come closest to any one of the top 5 you review here. Also, what percentage ( IE 80% 90% etc.) of the overall performance would you get with the more affordable rod? You have tons of experience with more affordable rods, so now that you have thoroughly evaluated the premium tier we would appreciate a comparison with the more affordable options. Thanks!
Based on subscribers recommendations I'd say the Phenix Feather rods come to mind and the carbonlite 2.0 rods are just as good for moving baits but heavier and not quite as sensitive as these .. I've always also said the Berkley Lightning rods are an awesome entry level rod .
There's almost nothing you can't do with a black max and a lightning rod as far as regular sized bass baits go .
You can buy it from japan for $300 shipped, if it's in stock.
The cheapest I've seen a P5 is about $350 and I don't think you can get some of the American market actions from Japan.. not from Digitaka anyway.. the super destroyer and the rod I was looking for the one ten special aren't listed
@bassnbonsai you're right, 354
Is that a megabass blade? Rod
Yes sir.. it and the expride video will be coming out tomorrow night hopefully.. the Adrena video is coming out at midnight
