Nice job on this. I made a Soul Train reference today, and a Gen Z'er had no idea what I was talking about. This was a great piece to explain not only how the show was go good (the music and dancing, obviously), but also why the show was important. There is an entire generation of people who haven't had Soul Train on Saturdays, and that is sad.

Actually Don stepped down in 1993 as host but he did introduce the guest host up until around 1996-97 before there was a regular host.
