    Great video, I noticed while rotating my tires the e-brake wasn’t holding on the drivers side. I’ll check my cables this weekend! Thanks for the tip! (2014 Jetta sportwagen tdi)

    The hand break on my 2011 Jetta has been stuck, and Im about to take the back passenger wheel off (It seems to be the only one that has seized up). Watching this video makes me a little more confident that I'll be able to fix it. Thank you.

    Very informative video. This sounds like what I'm currently dealing with, with my Jetta. Thanks for documenting/sharing!

    thats fine n stuff buddy but you got her to tight now by the looks at the end there, this can result in weakening the cable n it may snap on you.

    Nice catch! Btw it is OBD2 not Eleven. They are Roman Numerals.

    OBD Eleven? It's a Roman Numeral for 2 (II).
    OBD2

  • @aadd3538

    Its not an emergency brake. Its called parking brake

    Mad how Americans call the hand brake/ parking brake the 'emergency brake'.

      Probably because the brake was set using the left foot, it was the European and Japanese cars that were set by hand. Most people called it the E brake when I was young 👍

      Just don’t get too mad. People just speak different terms for different things. Don’t let it get to you. It’s cool.

      obd11 is another type of scan tool that allows you to read codes and also change some of the settings in the car's computer, it can do more than a regular obd2 scan tool

    Why do you call it an emergency brake, I call it a hand brake, for hill parking 🤔

    • @116falconer
      @116falconer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      When I started driving there were no hand brakes just foot operated emergency brakes.
