    Something you may want to try yourself that I love, you can individually switch off the crosshairs in the mame game setup. Makes it feel just like the arcade, relying on your own accuracy.

    Great, great video on how to set up the light gun. This will save anybody who gets them lots of time. I struggled with the turning on the camera part when I first got them. I also struggled getting the camera settings working correctly. I tried different settings on the actual monitor, and that did not work. I tried the contrast and brightness on the Sinden software, and it did not work. I changed it to a blue border which worked, but I did not like a blue border. I got it working in "dim display", but I just tried your Exposure setting. Bingo - perfection for my machine. Thanks.

    Excellent video! Im surprised you had to adjust the exposure like that, mine was solid out of the box and I am in a much darker room I think...now I want to check what mine was set at...Definitely check out the mame bezel packs that have the border built in, it doesnt overlap the game and you dont have to bother turning them on/off. Nice video. Do you have plexiglass over it? I have a gameroom solutions full cabinet with 32 inch tv in it. The bottom border with the bezel packs are pretty narrow compared to the sinden lightgun borders. Trying to see what others have done here or if you recommend something? Was thinking either I can find a way to rebuild the images from the sinden lightgun bezel packs or use smaller than a 32 inch tv so the bottom border is more exposed. I think the angle of the screen also plays a factor. Thoughts?

    How do switch off marque after setup - does marque need to be off to play with the sindens? Also how did you bring up the border in game?

    • @IntegrumRetro
      @IntegrumRetro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Sinden has a button on the right that's mapped to the "ALT - B" command which will bring up the border. Otherwise you can configure some of the light games to use Bezel Art with borders.
      sindenlightgun.miraheze.org/wiki/Sinden_Bezel_Packs
      It's not necessary to turn off your marquee, as you can configure the software to ignore it. I show how that works in my video at:
      th-cam.com/video/iTyxD62S39M/w-d-xo.html
      But you can also go into windows and disable your marquee if you don't want to configure the Sinden software to ignore it.

    hello. I enjoyed your video. I'm envious of playing a really cool gun shooting game. Impressed by your video, I bought a sinden light gun and installed it on my computer.
    I downloaded the gun shooting game "CoinOPS Next 2 - The Arch's Light Gun Build" and installed it on my computer. After running CoinOPS Next 2, Mame game confirmed that the sinden light gun works well after setting the key value by pressing the TAB key. By the way, here wii , ps1. ps2, demul, teknoparrot games do not know how to connect to the sinden light gun, so the game cannot be progressed.
    Do I have to set each game individually to set the sinden light gun?
    I am so confused as to what to do.
    Please help.
    So, be happy and have fun today.

    Why do my mouse cursor wiggle around when I aim?

    • @IntegrumRetro
      @IntegrumRetro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's "jitter." The gun is trying to calculate it's position at all times and it needs to see all lines of the border to do so. Try increasing the brightness of your monitor/display or increase the exposure on the light gun. I've found that helps with accuracy.
      Then on the gun calibration you can set the "jitter percentage". Start with 1% and increase it slowly until you see an acceptable reduction of the shakiness, but it's still following the movement of the gun to your satisfaction.

    • @zZiL341yRj736
      @zZiL341yRj736 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IntegrumRetro I've tried every settings, Brightness, Contrast, Exposure, Hue, Saturation, the cursor still moves erratically left and right alot. I turned on Anti-Judder and it lags alot. I've tried going further back, turn off the lights, my monitor is at the max brightness, I tried game mode, I've tried setting mouse cursor speed to max. I just cannot get the mouse cursor to stop jumping left and right. I hope this is not defective since it passes QC.

    • @IntegrumRetro
      @IntegrumRetro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@zZiL341yRj736 If you are still getting jitter, check you have a clean blue box during the configuration setup. The jerkyness usually means the gun isn't seeing the borders 100% of the time. You can increase the thickness of the borders and even change the color of the borders.

    Is sinden better than the light gun that came with the megacade that uses the lightbar?

    • @IntegrumRetro
      @IntegrumRetro  ปีที่แล้ว

      Tough call. The Sinden is more accurate than the Aimtracks, but that's if you have the right lighting conditions for the Sinden.
      The Aimtracks are easier to setup and configure the emulators, so that's the tradeoff.

    • @IntegrumRetro
      @IntegrumRetro  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does.. but not any longer... I hope to announce my autoconfig for all major lightguns. Beta testing has been going very well, with the Sindens being the most tedious to code all the logic needed for different emulators.

    Does the white border interfere with the game? like does it eat actual game real estate screen?

    • @IntegrumRetro
      @IntegrumRetro  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it does overlap some of the actual game screen. However you can select the border thickness and reduce it as much as you can so it's effect is greatly minimized. I leave it at "medium" for most MAME template overlays because I'm in a very bright and reflective room, but darker rooms can work very well with a very 3-4 pixel wide border.
      That's where you'll want to experiment a bit to see which works.
