I got the VEC Infinity-3 pedal and can confirm it worked right out of the box with your software!!! Awesome dude, what a great way to add any extra button clicks to any Windows game... love it!!
This might get me to pull my Sinden out again. I got frustrated with the software, config requirements and shit recoil unit and haven't used in a while. I've got an Area 51 / Maximum Force cabinet and the Happ arcade guns on that totally spoiled me. I bought the parts to build a pair of Gun4IRs, but don't have the necessary soldering skill yet. Love this setup, great work, again. Thank you.
Off topic, but I really hope you have time do a comprehensive video on your Atari Fight Stick build. I love the bumper, solenoids and spinner additions, really creative and impressive build!
Hi, followed your setup precisely. Managed to set this up for Time Crisis 5 with AHK. However, I can't get it to work with Mame. In the mame option screen I can see it still working, because by pressing a pedal, a letter I bind to one of the pedals is shown in the "search for game.." area. If I try to bind a key for a special game, there is no reaction to a pressed pedal. Maybe I have to check an option, but can't figure it out. In the pcsx2 emulator it doesn't show up as a "vec device" as well, only as a "DX keyboard". Did I miss something?
Interesting on PCSX2, not sure why it's not showing up like it is on mine as a VEC Device. For MAME I just tried it out and it seems to work fine using the Biped application to map the buttons. Without it running when I tried to map a pedal input nothing was detected, but if I setup Biped to map the pedal to a key like SPACE, when I configured a game in MAME's Input (this machine) menu the key was successfully detected when pressing the pedal.
@@cjkcizur Tried everything, can't figure it out. Maybe the problem persists, because I have the version 3 of the pedal and you have an older one? It does work with windows and is tetected in the USB settings as a VEC footpedal, does work with an AHK-Script in Time Crisis 5, but didn't show up in pcsx and mame, funny..
@@scripter466 very odd...so if you configure the Biped app to send some keypress or mouse-click and open something like Notepad it successfully sends those keys? But in MAME under the TAB menu if you go to bind a key and press the pedal while it's waiting for input nothing happens?
@@cjkcizur Exactly! Also in the mame game selection screen I can see it still working, because by pressing a pedal, a letter I bind to one of the pedals is shown in the "search for game.." area. Hmm, I'll have to test that out but with all of the games I've shown here they don't use mame. Not sure why it wouldn't be detecting the key presses but I'll have a look. I've upgraded my pedal to be wireless via some Arduino hardware, but I still have the original pedal circuit boards so I'll give that a test and see if I have any solutions if using the Biped app.
@@cjkcizur thanks, appreciate the help, the pedal is recognized as a device but it it does not recognize the device as a controller so I think that's why it's not working in mame...did anyone else get this working in Mame?
Hi I got VEC Infinity Foot Control USB-2 . Somehow I couldn't get it to work in MAME like mentioned in the comments. Tried to change input method to dinput in mame.ini doesn't work either. Any idea? Thanks
Yes, that’s an optional flag that will automatically have the software display a 16x9 border when it starts. Otherwise you can use the back-right button on the gun to cycle through the borders (16x9, 4x3, off).
You should be able to. I believe shooting offscreen simulates a right mouse click since the pump action on the gun (also configured to right mouse click in the Sinden software) performs the reload on my setup. So just map the pedal to right mouse using the Biped application and make sure it's running in the background while playing the game. Let me know if this doesn't work or you have issues.
Yeah, although there's very few things "plug-and-play" with emulation! That being said, I should have mentioned that some emulators, PCSX2 for example, do detect the pedal as an input and you can map it directly from its controller binding interface without running the Biped software.
Hi just wondering will any of the other brands of usb foot pedals work with this program as I’ve seen similar ones that are a bit cheaper. I don’t want to waste money on getting the wrong type of pedal. Also just ordered a Sinden lightgun with recoil can’t wait to play Time Crisis 2 and Point Blank 2 again.
Same. Have you got your Sinden yet? Ordered mine at the end of August. I also ordered a cheap usb pedal from eBay, hoping to use Joy2Key or something to make it act like the Time Crisis pedal...

Works with the newer model VEC Infinity IN-USB-3
You have a video on the ahk script? This was informative been looking at that pedal as a potential solution

Problably you need to change the input method from auto to dinput in the .ini mame file

Does this software work with two foot pedals for two player games?
Found any use for this beyond Time Crisis? Any other lightgun games use pedals?
The only other one I know of, but have not yet tried, is a game called 2 Spicy. It apparently uses a 2 pedal system like Time Crisis 5.
Doesn’t have to be Time Crisis-like game ... you can map any buttons to any pedal, reload, mame add coins, start game, anything!!! Awesome love it!!!
