actually they did 2 volcano shows that day (July 17, 2024) one at 10am PST right after the closing ceremony, and the final one at 11am PST at the official closing time. I know because I was there.
I remember the first day the Mirage opened and the volcano erupted. I was working across the street as a floor person at the Holiday (Harrahs). It was one of the coolest hinges on the strip at the time. I’m really going to miss it.
I call on all media and TH-cam channels of the United States of America not to turn off the comment option. This is almost the only way to convey the true situation about what is happening in the countries, cities where the person who wrote the comment is located. yeah and a few days before a front desk employee told me closing time was 1pm, when in fact it was 11am. Fortunately i got that figured out before it was too late
@@vegasmarc7252I think the meaning of the post was it used to be family / normal people friendly. Vegas was actually known for deals and free shows and many things before. It was for everyone. Now like many other things in society have taken a turn to cater for the ultra wealthy of the world rather than for the average middle class US citizen. Many things today care more about catering to the international millionaires than anything else. From Disneyland to sports events to concerts you name it, it’s all gotten out of reach for the average person without saving a lot or going into debt to pay for.
RIP The Mirage. Thanks for the memories. I'll always remember staying here in September 22
What an emotional farewell to the iconic Mirage volcano!
This is a sad day. I will always miss my home away from home. Thank you, Mirage, for the beautiful Las Vegas memories. ❤️
I feel the same. It was a wonderful place to be. I always feel welcome. 💓
This is the only time they'll be running this in the early morning hours... Goodbye Mirage Hotel

The last of the great Las Vegas hotel/casinos. Steve Wynn was a Visionary. R.I.P. Mirage.
I will never forget the Mirage...I will always remember the Secret Garden and the aquarium in the lobby...

The first time I visit the Mirage I joined the show with Siegfried and Roy. That takes my breath away. I never will forget.
I’m crying
The mirage was a crazy tower, i had staysd in it with my partents in December 2023, it was great and its sad to see this go
I seen George’s frustration
He was pacing around the pond like he was worried about employment. He has ducklings you know.
No Pirate show, no Volcano? Time moves on, out with the old. Vegas never stands still.
The pirate show went away many years ago
And in with the commercialized crap.
MR SLAPPING PEEPERS WAS THERE FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END

Too bad it was filmed with a potato. 😂 720p and crackling mono sound in the left channel only?

How does a news channel take a video with video quality this bad, my video from last night (which I thought was the final show) looks way better, lol
Noooooo 😢

So sad
We all reach for things in life - hard rock is reaching big time.
Its outta their reach. Steve Wynn set the bar high. They will fall far short. Sad.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Last show during the day lame.......I watched that show many times and always after dark. Sad sendoff for the Mirage.
actually there was one more show an hour after this at the official closing time. I was there

MASS BOYCOTT the Crappy Hard Rock Shit Show.
First.
Sad day……
So sad.
Greed has finally taken over Las Vegas. Same with tropicana where you can soon eat a hot dog for 30$ in a stadium...
Las Vegas doesn't exist without greed. It's been part of its DNA since the beginning. This isn't Leave It To Beaver land.
You are probably one of the folks who always wishes the Mob still ran Vegas… their entire business model was built on greed.
