I went to vegas for christmas, first time in the USA. I didn't go in the Sphere, but my hotel room had a view onto it and I'd just sit watching the patterns whilst drinking my beer. The snow globe one really blew my mind!
I saw Postcard Earth, it was a great demo movie. I was in the front of the 400 level, two sections left. Some of the scenes naturally had a spherical distortion, but mostly it was realistic. If you have fear of heights, you'll be thrilled just getting to your seat. Tip: The time on the ticket was entry time, showtime was 1 hr later. When I went, they let the line in a half hour early.
Las vegas local here! I have not been inside the sphere (yet), but seeing the exterior is incredible. Even from miles away it dominates the skyline. I have driven close by it once, and it was displaying a cascading glitter effect that faded into a shimmering geometric pattern in colors of gold and silver. Really awesome.
@@drockjr nah, let Vegas be the oddball. Plus for scenic non-city skylines we got Mount Charleston and Red Rocks to the west, making a great backdrop for sunsets and sunrise.
I know a thing or two about 3D modeling and rendering, and about animation and video editing. This little 10 minute video is a work of art, and probably represents 1000 hours of work. 🙂
The speakers are designed and made by a company called HOLOPLOT. They do truly incredible work with beamforming. Not just in the horizontal axis like others they can beamform in 3D space, much like aiming a floodlight
@@JaredOwen A question: at 8:00, the 3D Model of the speakers ... I was wondering, whether the smaller circular segments scattered irregularly all around were an issue of the 3D-Model, or actually intentional 🤔
@@ClockMaster-mq2hmthis scattering is intended. I looked them up a few weeks ago on their website and was also confused, but that's how they can beam the sound

I also saw U2. It was the best concert I've ever been to by far. Nothing in this video or anything said about the Sphere is an exaggeration. It really is that mindblowing.
This kind of preview makes me feel a lot more comfortable going to a venue. Knowing what to expect relaxes me and I can spend more time enjoying what's there. Other venues should pay you to do this for them.

I’ve always wanted to visit Las Vegas, and now I wanna visit the strip and the sphere even more now! The inside looks so cool! That new technology is wild. Great video, and fantastic animation as always :D
Left out was the cost of admission. Personally, the dollar cost would be trivial when compared to the need to go to Las Vegas to experience the Sphere. I lived there 40 some years ago, and if I ever return it will be much too soon. Nice presentation, as always!
Thank you for putting a lot of time and effort into your video animations and dialog! Your videos are interesting and fascinating as well as digestable! Keep on, keepin on!
I was at the sphere Nov 23rd 2023. The seats are like Disney world attractions in Florida. The film is awesome. If you actually look at the people on the screen. You might see your face in the group of people on projection screens. It was a unique experience. But if you are in fear of heights sit lower. I sat up top and watch the view. WOW ! ! ! The technology and electronics of the sphere is incredible. I majored in electronics and microwave communication, working 35 years for a major telecommunication company. This is absolutely mind boggling how far technology and led lighting has advanced.
Ever heard of trickle down technology? This is an example of trickle-up technology, where tech that's been around for a long time is simply being scaled up massively for much larger audiences. Beamforming or directional audio has been around for decades, and has been used in home theater speaker bars and separates for more than a decade. LED walls for homes are still quite expensive, but are quickly dropping in price.
it is totally amazing. when I noticed what you said about the speakers, I would like to say no words to imagine how cool that is. I hope that one day I can visit by my self.
Amazing videos as always. I think a video on the icon of the seas would be just as amazing. And I can only think of you who could pull it off. Keep up the great video bro ❤
Please explain in what way those spinning LEDs have anything at all to do with holography. The word "hologram" has a specific meaning and it does NOT mean 2D images that are simply transparent. That includes 2D images projected or reflected on transparent screens (Tupac et al.)
Is this video sponsored? It just seems like Jared went way out of his way to heap praise upon this thing at every chance he got. Having seen so many other reviews that said it was only so-so, it's hard to see why Jared can't help himself but paint everything in the most positive light possible. I didn't want him to say it sucks or anything, but the overly reverential choice of words that are consistently used throughout this video didn't sit right with me.
I’m sure Jared will give you double whatever you had to pay to watch it. It’s only the very negative people who have problems with the positivity of others.
