Thank you. I’m glad you’re adding videos to your course for specific genres. This video is something I’ve been waiting for from you. I always have problems determining how dark the background should be and always think the histogram should be in the center which obviously is not correct on my part.

Thanks. Depending on the image I will zoom in and use the subtract brush around the subject border. It’s a little more tedious but but useful on say around the birds feet.

Thanks so much for this video. As it turns out I edit my wildlife photos nearly identically to you I did pick up one good tip and that is the Auto Mask checkbox when working with masks. Thanks for that it's very helpful. Cheers.

Anthony thankyou for this tutorial... and thanks for continue doing them. Sadly the exchange rate from dollars to rand are so heavy to buy anything is too expensive. I did not know that one could pin a position on denoise so am so glad to learn that......Another thing..... my LR says its Catalog-v12 and its Adobe PS LR Clasic.... however I do not have the 3 color dots.......am I using the same LR as you are????

I'm with you on Contrast slider, I hardly ever use it. It seems to give drastic effects whatever. What circumstances would you use it?

Thanks! I use a similar workflow, but learned a few tips and reinforced some behaviors that I don't use often enough like automask. I wonder why you left the bird in the middle of the image rather than cropping from the left-hand side giving it a more pointed direction. I try to use denoise, but the wait times are so variable ranging from 10 seconds to 18 minutes. My computer is fully adequate and is not the bottleneck. Denoise time to process seems random to me. It doesn't seem to be affected by the complexity or size of the image or the level of noise. If I am given a long wait time, I will just use Topaz AI deNoise. Thanks for the video!

Hello Anthony, I love your lightroom editing methods. I have followed all of them.
I noticed your sharpen slider is at a minimum. I remember in your other video, you said it does not matter because it does not seem to affect it either way before or after using denoise. I was wondering if there is a way to start the sharpen slider at a minimum or did you move it? Thank You!

I frequently find that using the “select object” tool to isolate and select my subject works better than the “select subject” tool.

Tnx for sharing. Any particular reason you did not add sharpness to the bird, or haze/blur to its background, texture to its feathers, crop, darken the larger branch, maybe the bird legs could be a bit browner, light the eye, etc. I'm not saying this as criticism, the photo and the edit are very nice I'm just trying to think at which point is the photo edited enough or sufficiently? I suppose it depends on one's vision of the photo and how one thinks the photo ought to look like or how they remember/experienced it, etc. Of course there are pragmatic stopping rules like I have 5 min for an edit. In general I struggle with deciding when to stop, I'm second guessing my edits, etc. and up spending too much time on a frame. Any advice welcome
