Anyone else absolutely love how violent and erratic the tardis has landed recently?! Think there’s some foreshadowing to the tardis getting old maybe ?
Yes the transition was good, but the actual style of the series is very goofy, not serious and the cgi looks fake, which it is obviously, but some cgi looks a lot better than others. Like with most tv and movie cgi lately, it’s going backwards, instead of forward.
Was all going well till the space babies appeared. The TARDIS and space shots looks great, but everything else, not so much. Also why can’t the TARDIS just land normally??
@shemdellashemygd29 the episode has a bunch of talking babies that the cgi doesn't work with, the monster was made of snot and they save the day by making the ship fast them out of orbit. I thought it was awful. We're all entitled to our own opinions tho.
Space babies wasn't the greatest episode by any stretch of the imagination but it wasn't horrible and I really enjoyed the devil's chord so I disagree with you when it comes to writing quality I think it's still decent and I think boom will be really good because Moffat always has the best episodes.
I really don't think it's that "woke" now they had a non-binary villain but they really didn't make a huge deal out of it they mentioned it one time and didn't mention it again because it didn't need to be mentioned again I think the star beast was a much worse example of unnecessarily shoehorning a political message in there for no reason but the devil's chord wasn't too bad in my opinion.
The CGI is maybe the only thing worth praising in this new era of Doctor Who. The series has undoubtedly made a move towards optics and spectacle instead of good writing. I think people forget that the lack of expensive sets and special effects in the Tennant/golden era of the show forced the writers to be resourceful and rely on intriguing characters and plotlines instead. It didn't matter that the visuals weren't perfect because the stories WERE. This new Disney plus era truly has some of the worst writing/acting I've seen from the BBC and this is from a genuine fan of the show. Don't let the illusion of spectacle distract you from Russel T Davie's massacre of the Doctor Who franchise.

If anyone could help me to get started ,
How would you describe it in a few words?
Best places to start are Series 1 (2005), Series 5 (2010) or Season 1 (2024) (including Christmas special from 2023). If you want to have a really great experience, I recommend to just start at Series 1 in 2005 :)
@@BaronMartin Dont watch past the 11th doctor
Its because they started using Unreal Engine.
Too bad the writing is gone to shit :c
its literally been better then the last 2 doctors and we're only a couple eps in fym

Its crazy I didn't think people wouldn't like god concepts. Like in classic who. Clearly not a fan then.
@@shemdellashemygd29 they would suddenly like the writing if the doctor was a straight white man though i bet with 90% of the people complaining lol
Anyone else absolutely love how violent and erratic the tardis has landed recently?! Think there’s some foreshadowing to the tardis getting old maybe ?
How about the horrible pilot?
@@gamerboiiiiiii
what?
@@sidicle6537the Doctor has always been a horrible pilot trying to operate a six-crew vehicle so they probably made it more prominent
Man this is NOT doctor who lol
Yes it is. Fake fan
A pity the rest is totally irredeemable.

It’s been amazing for about 6 years sorry to be a downer but this isn’t new
6 years and no shot like this .
@@shemdellashemygd29 there have been many if not better shots than this
Yeah but the writing nowhere close to Moffat Era 5-10
Yes the transition was good, but the actual style of the series is very goofy, not serious and the cgi looks fake, which it is obviously, but some cgi looks a lot better than others. Like with most tv and movie cgi lately, it’s going backwards, instead of forward.
Yet the episode was promoted as fun and camp..
I have been pleasantly surprised with the new season
Was all going well till the space babies appeared.
The TARDIS and space shots looks great, but everything else, not so much.
Also why can’t the TARDIS just land normally??
Learn to have fun. That what the episode was promoted as.

Thank you I wad like wtf is everyone glazing about, looks worse than the cgi in jodies era
The 2005 time vortex looked more impressive than this shit
Genuinly tho, this was the worst doctor who episode of all time, i have lost all interest in the show and wish it ended with the 12th
Imagine complaining about what the show always does. Start with the most insane concept. Clearly know nothing about the show then
@shemdellashemygd29 the episode has a bunch of talking babies that the cgi doesn't work with, the monster was made of snot and they save the day by making the ship fast them out of orbit. I thought it was awful. We're all entitled to our own opinions tho.
CGI budget got a huge upgrade.
And all it cost was any semblance of quality in the writing.
You do realise RTD wrote this and not Chibnall? You don't have to pretend to hate the writing anymore silly American 😂
Space babies wasn't the greatest episode by any stretch of the imagination but it wasn't horrible and I really enjoyed the devil's chord so I disagree with you when it comes to writing quality I think it's still decent and I think boom will be really good because Moffat always has the best episodes.
You should have realised that every show that received a massive upgrade in looks sold its soul to the WOKE devil.
Also, I would have loved if we had both the good scripting back in the good old days and the CGI. But well, that seems to be the price to pay.
Looks great! Shame about the plot though.
So your not into god concepts? Bye.
Looks like a bad videogame

Yes, too bad the pandering and wokeness have increased.

Honestly I preferred when CGI sucked and writing was good thanks Disney for ruining something so old so precious and so good
As visual design , I must say 10/10 but writing is still worst as Chibnall's writing.
