That's one of the things I loved about Matt: he could throw himself into that side of 11, but there were also moments where he could let it fall and you could _feel_ every century of his age just through body language alone. Like him saying goodbye to Amy in the Pandorica.

And there is this face of sadness, heartbreak, the Doctor may be hundreds of years old but with all the trauma and self loathing, and self repression.
