You don't need condiments when its medium rare and lightly sprinkled with garlic, pepper, and salt.

It's not just any steak it is wagyu steak, that cost $200 to $300 a pound, making it the most expensive steak in the world, and it is so tender it melts like butter in your mouth. Wagyu steak should only have a little salt on it, nothing else, no sauce. In Japan, they just add a little salt and that is it.
In Japan the Wagyu cows have music played to them or are sung to. They drink Guinness sometimes and get daily massages to disperse the fat through the meat.
They can and do produce so called "wagyu" beef outside of Japan now but most of it is a pale imitation of the real thing and most of the time is just regular beef with a label slapped on it that allows them to charge a small fortune for it.
We had Kobe beef in Vegas years ago. US$80 for a 4oz piece (plus rice and veg). I'm glad I tried it, but I don't need to have it again. Too fatty for me. My husband called it beef-flavored butter.
Depends on the grade, bottom grade is like beef elsewhere, needs a bit of work, very little marbling etc. Top grade is full of fat so when cooked it just melts in the mouth. I think in this video both of them opted for a well done steak.

Definitely a matter of opinion, like everything else in life. After having A5 wagyu (yes, it was expensive, no denying that at all) no other steak I've had comes close. From the melt in your mouth texture to the unique, moist flavorful taste, it's tough to think of any other cut I enjoyed more than the wagyu I've had. And I absolutely love steak, so I've tried all kinds of different cuts from different regions over the years.
