It was the " inner child". Raffique definitely has a Sweet Tooth. Gotta love the sneakiness... Here in US, simple thing. I used to make these 40yrs ago. Hard to forget that some don't have blender and just do thing uniform style, no sampling or mixing.

Im 52 , live in the UK , I was the same till in my late teens , up til then it was milk bottles delivered by a milkman
It is odd to me as well to see milk packed in cartons, I am urbanized but it's a cultural thing here in India to distrust packaged food. Also people avoid packaged food to avoid paying taxes on it 😆

It's hard to believe these wonderful.tribal people have been kept unaware of what science has produced in 40+ years to make their lives easier. So wonderful to see them finally see what has been withheld so long. That's what I love to watch this program.
I had had a heinous day, but when I clicked to watch this video and saw the smiling faces and gracious attitude of these gentlemen, the cares of the day faded away with their gift of laughter.

I get so much pleasure watching the gentlemen taste testing the different foods and drinks from around the world.
What made this episode so good, was watching them interact with each other more than usual. The way they speak to each other, with respect and humour, is a lesson to us all. Good job, Producers! You've (perhaps accidentally...) struck gold.
I don't require lessons on how to be respectful nor humorous. It's not that unusual.
This is closer to a smoothie than a milkshake. Milkshakes are made with ice cream.😊

@@melaniekendall4903 milkshakes have ice cream. Milkshakes were invented in the usa and if you look; youll find that all the recipes have ice cream.
But... I always make what they made and add some vanilla extract. I always called it a banana milk shake as well. Adding ice cream just makes it better.

Milkshakes are mostly ice cream but this "smoothie" looks pretty good. You can get a richer taste if the bananas are frozen and don't use any ice. When made this way, I don't even feel like they need extra sugar. (To freeze - Peel the bananas first and break into a few pieces. Then put them in a plastic bag or container and freeze them. This is also a great way to preserve bananas and keep them from being wasted.) When you want a smoothie just add frozen bananas to the blender. Add milk and sometimes a little vanilla extract or cocoa powder and blend as usual. You can also add peanut butter to make a peanut butter and banana smoothie.

Forty+ years ago, my husband and I were in England, walking on a side street. A restaurant was advertising milkshakes. It was hot and it sounded so good. We ordered two. We got shaken milk.😢 Not long after, a McDonalds opened up and milkshakes took off.

The Crazy Hobo is correct, these were smoothies & milkshakes are made with ice cream & milk. But fruits may be added for different flavors of milkshakes as well as chocolate powder or chocolate syrup.

This drink is called a Smoothie because it contains no ice cream. Milkshakes contain ice cream and milk with either fruit or chocolate powder or melted chocolate. They all did a great job of working together!!! I just think they are great God praising people.....❤❤❤❤

What y'all are making is a smoothie rather than a milkshake. Milkshakes have ice cream and milk as the base ingredients. Smoothies are great too!

Smoothie. Milkshakes are made with Vanilla ice cream, Milk, Ice, Vanilla Bean and what ever fruit you like. They are ticker then a Smoothie and Frappe but can still be drank with a straw. I prefer Mango, Pineapple and Strawberry in my milkshakes. I made milkshakes for a living in Arizona for 50 years.
Greek Frappé: Made with instant coffee, water, sugar, and milk, and shaken until frothy
French Frappé: Made with coffee, ice cream, and ice, blended together
American Frappé: Made with coffee, milk, sugar, and ice, blended together and topped with whipped cream

This is like an electric lassi. A milkshake is ice cream, milk, and something to flavor it like fruit. Or, the ice cream is already flavored, like vanilla or strawberry. It can be blended until it is thick but smooth, but a good old fashioned shake has small bits of fruit in it. They’re hard to drink because they’re often too thick to use a straw. If you try to drink it like lassi, it’s so thick it will come out all at once and all over your face. A big spoon works well.

Interesting. In the USA ,a "Milkshake" is a frozen nearly liquid but still thick, ice cream item, consumed by straw and/or maybe a spoon from the glass. The most popular flavors are chocolate and vanilla with strawberry in third place and any other variants such as peanut butter, caramel, or other fruits being more rare and mostly only served at specialty ice cream and fast food stores who feature these additional milkshake flavors as a major point of their menu. The majority of restaurants offering milkshakes only offer chocolate, vanilla or strawberry though. We would call these non frozen fruit drinks made here in the video, a "smoothie" instead. If they were frozen to a semi solid basis, then one could argue "milkshake!" or "frozen smoothie" and both could be accurate.
