On 5:26 he didn’t mess up, he was actually ON POINT because on the original song The drums cut out for that solo guitar riff. And drums come back in hard. His instincts were spot on. 🔥🔥🔥
@@RagnarLoudpak Just barely...it was almost unnoticeable he caught it so fast. Plus most drummers on Drumeo would have just played through it even after having a full listen before their take.
Thank you for pausing and clearing that up because I've been watching reactions to this video and a lot of people don't realize Chad doesn't hear any drums at all. The first little snippet is just for us
Chad Smith is not only a great technician, but he's also a real musician. His knowledge is amazing. If you enjoy watching drum covers, then check out El Estapario Siberiano. He is another astonishing talent. Enjoyed your reaction
“ He broke a stick” I hope he kept moving after all of his years of performances. I have so much more respect for drummers. I had no idea that they used notes for drumming! Brilliant man! And I just learned a good new song!!
When you listen to the original song you're going to be blown away by how close it is he literally only messed up a few spots but pretty much f****** nailed it
Chad Smith is the ultimate "Our drummer just broke his ankle grab the drummer from the opening act because I think he can get it done" drummer. He's the ultimate LISTENING drummer. He can do almost ANYTHING at a moment's notice.😂
he was like 90% on point hearing 30 seconds of the song before he dived right in. that's a guy that knows his craft and doesn't need to memorize anything. just knows what's going on as soon as it's happening.
Good reaction!, you want crying guitars, you need to react to the "Prince, Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Lynne, more - "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" | 2004 Induction"
Dude, I'm sorry. I couldn't make it through your video. In the future, if you want to commentate in a reaction video, fine, but for the love of god stop pausing it every time you want to say something. I got past the part where you paused it in the beginning to read the subtitles, but 3 minutes in and many more pauses later I couldn't take it.
@@HurricaneStealthhonestly, don't listen to this dude. there is nothing wrong with pausing the video to say something, it's a reaction video! he can go watch the original if he doesn't like the pausing
@@HurricaneStealth yeah I guess, however when a video is interesting and you have something of value to add to it then you won't have to worry about retention rate. Do your thing, I just think it's weird to react to a part of a video. Like chances are people have watched the video already and think it's cool and want to watch others experience it for the first time. If you want retention rate then pull a few clips to post as shorts for people who can't stand to watch more than 5 seconds of something. I think people will skip through a video regardless, you can't please everyone. Content turns into a cracked out mr beast video that switches cameras every 3 seconds, has no downtime, no outro. It's for retention rate. It just doesn't get my view. TH-cam has hit a weird state the past 5 years and I just think they incentivize the wrong things from creators.
@pbplaya1344 I like your feedback bro.. I appreciate it. I'll definitely keep that in mind. I haven't been in front of the camera long so it takes a lot of hyping myself up to even hit the record button so bare with me if I fumble from time to time 😆.
When Talent, Knowledge and Instinct all come together

yup. this guy is an absolute legend!
Of course he messed up!
I mean, he still didn’t predict the break. He reeled it back in and disguised it, but he messed up.
he did mess up slightly but reeled it back very smoothly
@@RagnarLoudpak Just barely...it was almost unnoticeable he caught it so fast. Plus most drummers on Drumeo would have just played through it even after having a full listen before their take.
Chad Smith is one of the greatest in the pocket, smooth, listening drummers of all time. He literally could play in ANY BAND and make them better
He predicted the drop.
That's the most incredible moment for me. That shows a level of musical intuition that's hard to match.

100% I´ve already watched it 15+ times on Drumeo. Chorus made me almost tear up, what a feeling. you can tell Brandon and his team are stunned.
The videos hes covering is probably going to end up very high on trending. Its fucking amazing
This unbelievable! This dude straight 🔥

This is beyond talent…this is SKILL.
you wanna talk about 30 seconds to mars... chad had 30 seconds to mars' number in 30 seconds. 😆
Yes he shredded this...and I didn't even know you could do that with drums! 😅 Excellent reaction!

I think he’d also rock “Moment’s Notice.”
He's using active listening and prediction and it's amazing. He's not just whaling, he's spot composing
predictive harmony hahha if you get it you get it habibi

Chad never heard the song before and on the first try, nails it; and better than the original. IMO
Chad Smith almost improved that perfectly!!!
chad smith, travis barker and jay weinberg my favourite drummers
Ahh I wish you would have caught the end where they show him the song lol

how he feels the beet is crazy
Please react to Heilung’s live version of Anoana. Absolutely mind blowing.
If you had the patience to watch the video all the way to the end you would've heard parts of the original and Smith reacting to how close he was..
They let him hear the original track with drums later in the video. You cut it right before that.
he heard the words only
no drum sound
Great pic!
People reacting to the latest drumeo video with Chad like they didn't know WHO is Chad Smith. Seriously?🤣
Watch the complete thing. Wtf are u doing just cutting it off
You know you still had about half of the video to go whenever you ended it right?
I'm not even a fan of his band, but I believe Chad is in fact a trained drummer, so this is no surpise.
“Trained drummer”
Yeah, no shit, Sherlock lmao
@@thexalt What a strange response to my perfectly reasonable comment.
@@TerrorReader-r6o There's no way an untrained drummer can pull that off

Yeah this guy is being salty, pause it as much as you want. It’s your video.
Yea, idk why anyone would talk during a reaction. Wait a minute….
Captain obvious
I don't understand why people don't watch the full video... you want to listen to the actual song, watch the rest of the video.
Who says i didnt? I just didnt think people wouldve stuck around watching me react to the same song twice.
