i saw this 11 year old nandi bushnell little english girl because i found the video where dave grohl was talking about this video that his buds bandmates where like yo you should give this a listen some one wants to challenge you to a drum off so dave accepted and well he wasn't kidding when he said she definitely got some real talent he wasn't tellin stories she was really something on the other set of drums that his security folks wheeled out there on the stage she was a champ
I love that they brought her in for this blind performance. It’s one thing to see an older experienced Professional Drummer pick up a song blind and put their spin on a song, but to hear someone so young…. very cool to see someone so young and talented and what their interpretation would be. She did a great job with it! 👍🏻
She is so fluid and so masterful, especially not having heard the OG drum track. It was a pleasure to watch her and I think she killed it. It wasn't exactly the same, but I think her interpretation of the song works. More importantly, it rocks!!!
There’s something about this kid. Every video I see of her is a must watch. I hope she fulfills every dream and goal she has. Seems like a great kid. Good luck!!!
I liked her interpretation better than the original in some places. The beginning of the song is a classic, but I really liked some of her fills and the half-time. Was a great performance that showed how extremely talented Nandi is.
Nandi is just Nandi. She's amazing. Truly gifted, and I'm thrilled that I heard of her years ago. Keep killing it girl!!! Love telling people to check you out when they notice my Nandi water bottle. Thrilled for you!!!
For her not to know the song , and hearing it for the first time and put her own drum elements in it , She did really a good especially for her age very nice job 🇺🇸🇺🇸😃😃💪💪💪👍👍👍
Colby, thank you for mentioning young talents, I love Nandi Bushell, she played drums on the live stage with Foo Fighters and she did a drum battle with Dave Grohl, that’s great
Twisted Sister fan right here!! Nandi was phenomenal doing this song. Been watching her for a few years now on you tube and this is a pure platinum performance IMO.
I think shows what good instincts she has for what a song needs from her drumming. When i was first seeing parts of her video on Instagram I was thinking how close she came to the original at points in it.
I absolutely loved this, I have been following Nandi for a few years now, as I am also British, but live in the states, she is such an awesome drummer, it was fun to see her take on Twisted Sister, who I have actually seen a few times, back in the day, thank you so much for showing this
I'm not a mucisian, but I grew up in this era of music and loved this song. No shade on the original song, by no means...but I actually feel that Nandi did an amazing job (possibly making it better IMO). No, I do feel she made it better. Loved this. Thanks.
This kid smokes. Really cool interpretation and really impressive adaptability and creativity already at that age. She really knows her craft. She has tools. Well done.
Wood so amazing to me about the beginning of this video is how somebody with her level of talent does it know these bands usually when somebody has that level of talent so young they’re an old soul and they know all of these bands from the time that I grew up, they classic rock, etc., so this whole interview at the beginning of so perplexing to me me
I really liked what she came up with, it gave the song some much needed updating. This song has always grind me, but Nandi's version makes me kind of like it. (FYI, no hate on Twisted Sister, I have nothing but respect for Daniel Snider and the band).
I think the thing about a lot of these earlier metal bands and songs is that their music had to meet a lot of different "puritanical" standards, especially in the aftermath of the height of the "satanic panic." So they might not have been able to be as creatively complex as they might otherwise have liked to be. Getting played on the radio and thereby getting exposure was a pretty tricky tightrope walk. Though there is much to be said for simplicity done well. It was really until years later when it started to move away from radio standards that they could explore more complexity or brutality in the music. Now with the radio being very much a thing of the past, people have far more independent distribution options where they can still find success without having to pander. I'm not a drummer but I think she did an outstanding job. Loved the galloping rhythm on the cowbell. Hard to believe that some of these drummers are hearing these songs for the first time with their ability to improvise to this degree. For once I can say that it didn't need more cowbell.
You should look up when she challenged Dave Grohl to a drum off a few years ago and it went back and forth a few times and then she got to play live in a Foo Fighters concert.
As a huge fan of the original, I grew up during this time so twisted sister was the shit. I love how she added more cowbell, pun intended! But seriously, the cowbell the way she played it was great for this song
Gotta check out her drum battles with Dave Grohl and her performance with Foo Fighters: “Everlong”. She also played Learn to Fly with them during the Taylor Hawkins tribute
Thank you 🙏🏽💜🤘🏽💜🙏🏽
You did a fantastic job!!! ☺️👍🏻
You have a really bright future ahead of you. You are amazing. Love the cowbell input.
Nice interpretation Nandi! All music can use more cowbell.
Hope you saw Dee Snider's message.
Killed it🤙🏻
This is a TEENAGER making these decisions, and playing like this. Just crazy. Keep it up, Nandi - you're amazing!

She's a drummer on every level. I see it in her instinct, she breathes it, moves in it.
She is so fluid and so masterful, especially not having heard the OG drum track. It was a pleasure to watch her and I think she killed it. It wasn't exactly the same, but I think her interpretation of the song works. More importantly, it rocks!!!

Just wow...she is so talented. I really hope she finds her way in the music industry and smashes it,
I think shows what good instincts she has for what a song needs from her drumming. When i was first seeing parts of her video on Instagram I was thinking how close she came to the original at points in it.

I really liked what she came up with, it gave the song some much needed updating. This song has always grind me, but Nandi's version makes me kind of like it. (FYI, no hate on Twisted Sister, I have nothing but respect for Daniel Snider and the band).
It’s always great and so enjoyable to find this videos, I really envy her father!

I love her, she is very talented!
Her fills are super tight. Better than the original percussion.
She has moves, and a definite feel for the music...

She is very good for her age to play the drums like that 🇺🇸🇺🇸😃😃💪💪👍👍👍👍
This kid is amazing!!!!!!!!!
This girl will be a monster in a couple years.
Shes a monster now she also a multi instrumentist
Her facial expressions remind me of Jonathan Moffett. A definite compliment!
I dug her use of cowbell. Cool fills too.
She is so talented!
She’s fire 🔥
Shes going to be a legend
Om not a drummer, but this young lady is impressive for sure!!! 👍
This song by Twisted sister was the only one to hit the British charts of their songs.
I am, I'm me / The kids are back / You can't stop rock n roll..... all charted higher in the UK.
My hat is off to those that encourage the generation coming up.
People this is a genius in front of you!!!
Not many Drummers could do that Nandi is a one off and there is a lot of young drummers out there.
She's a beast❤
As a huge fan of the original, I grew up during this time so twisted sister was the shit. I love how she added more cowbell, pun intended! But seriously, the cowbell the way she played it was great for this song
She's beating the high like it owes her money. I love it
This really showed her talents... I don't think she liked the song at all, but made it a little more of a challenge to get motivated.
Most of her her drumming is improvisation, fantastic.
I was mad hooked on twisted sister back in the 80s. Loved this song. Didn't even hear of Metallica yet
She played with Foo Fighters
Way 2 go Nandi! Luv it!
Aw bless her. And she rips
Very cool to see talented young people doing great stuff.... I'm pleasantly impressed 😊
I thought the half timing was the sickest part❤!😊
Gotta check out her drum battles with Dave Grohl and her performance with Foo Fighters: “Everlong”. She also played Learn to Fly with them during the Taylor Hawkins tribute
yes she got my vote ladies & gentlemen
I had lunch with Twisted Sister back in 84 Ask Dee what he thinks of her because he will respond.
Just another good Catholic school boyat heart .
She beat Dave Grohl the drama off. She’s already a rock God.
Fucking awesome, keep up the great work young Lady 👋🏾💯💪🏾
I can't imagine any drummer guessing what the original intro sounded like.
I am totally impressed
