    Fabulous job !!!
    I'm still in my early stages of working with one color when heat pressing . Actually I'm a bit scared to move forward to work with a second color for a project . I do appreciate this video and will continue to view all steps as a reference . Thank You .

    I am in awe right now! Thank you for your videos. I just found you today. I would like to know how to do this from the beginning as in how to make the original template of layering the design upon creation. I will search for a video on that.

    In a previous video, to find the center, you matched the first letter and last letter while bending the design. Doesn't look like you did that in this video, for the 1st shirt, when finding the center. Wondering what you used and why?

    How do you get the image to cut just like the design shows up? I've tried on my cricut and I don't know if I need to set it a certain way, but it moves all of the images to the top and to the left to save your HTV. But when doing multi colored designs, I want it to cut it as the design is set up. Can you help me please? Thanks in advance.

      On Design Space select all pieces of the same color and weld them. Do this for each color. Your Cricut will then cut them exactly where they appear on your design. This method can waste some vinyl but it keeps everything lined up

    Hi, I've done some htv layering shirts but I keep getting transfer tape lines showing on the first vinyl I put down. Does that make any sense? I heat press the first layer, then do the next and when I lift the second one I see the lines from that transfer tape..I don't know what I'm doing wrong..help anyone??

    • @Sweetnlow19811
      @Sweetnlow19811 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Grisel Gallardo I had this issue to. It's best to tack the second layer for a couple seconds just until you can peel the carrier sheet away then cover with a teflon sheet and press the entire design. The final press seems to remove the lines.

    • @julien6123
      @julien6123 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I have found that a final press with a cover sheet over the entire design with all the tapes removed will make those lines vanish.

      Vicki P You could use a weeding box (just add a shape around your design in your software before you cut) or cut around your design with scissors after your machine cuts the design. That's what I do to save vinyl. The smaller scraps are enough to use on shirts for my kids.

    Help!!! I'm so confused. Can someone help me how many seconds are you supposed to press total? How many times. I was worried to over press, is that not something to worry about. If you are layering one color on top of the other...you just tack down the first layer, 5 seconds? Then the second layer the full time, 15 seconds. Then a 3rd press for the full 15 seconds, after you peel the last backing off?
    For designs where you have two colors but they don't overlap/layer... you press each color for the full 15 seconds? So in a shirt with 2 colors. First color 15 seconds, 2nd color 15 seconds, then peel off clear sheet and press for another 15 seconds. Is that correct? Does this change if you have 3 or 4 different colors? Does using 100% cotton change anything.
    Thank you for anyone who can explain this to me. To the creator of this video I appreciate so much you sharing this. I think the video was great I just don't want to make a mistake because I got confused, you weren't the cause of my confusion, I just have heard different things elsewhere and want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding what you are saying.

      The difference in sizes relates to the size of your heat press. If you have a 16" heat press get that size ruler.

      Covae Covae ahhhhh..thanks! Makes sense lol well, what would you get if you just use an iron?

      Denise Cashner I would maybe cut a square of cardboard in 16" or whatever you choose and use that as a guild with this. Then once you have it in place, put your shirt on whatever surface you use with your iron.

      megan cordier I know HTV does but she used an old carrier on the printed HTV....my question was does the PRINTED HTV cork with a carrier? If so what was the purpose of not using it in the video?

      I think she was talking about the houndstooth printed that you use as the tie on the kid's shirt. I was curious myself.

      You have to mask it. Usually when you buy printed vinyl, they include a sheet of mask. Or you can save the carrier from a previously pressed design. You have to use it like transfer tape on a decal.

    What did you use in the video to protect your vinyl as you heat? It does not look like Teflon or parchment.
