It gives the viewers a sense that you put a lot of thought into your structure, and that you're not a mindless journalist.
I also think Vanilla Lake 2 is super hard. There's loads of reasons, like the really slippery ice physics, falling down the lakes, but worst of all, the infamous ice blocks. These ice blocks will slow you down significantly, and you'll need to take a few shortcuts to catch up. Speaking of, those shortcuts are very hard to take.
I'd say in SMK that Ghost Valley 3 becomes a lot easier when you get good at drifting. As silly as it sounds, I thought N64 Choco Mountain was a hard course especially for 150cc for a few reasons. 1. It was easy to get caught on the mountain walls where you end up rolling over so you slow down massively. Those 3 massive hills before the finish line don't help in this case and you have to angle your jumps correctly. 2. After passing the falling rocks area you'll come across that one turn where there used to be a guard rail but it gets removed at higher speed classes and if you fall you have to go all the way around again. It also doesn't help that some computer players will put a banana or fake item box on that corner to make you swerve to avoid it or use a lightning bolt where you spin off.
Tbh you say how cliched it is that the hardest course is almost always rainbow road but never say anything about Bowsers Castle being the second hardest almost every time as well.
Personally I think Moonview Highway is harder then Bowser’s Castle because some of the Cars move at the speed of light in the one section and if you don’t have fast reaction time you will get run over. There are also bomb cars which can easily end your race.

8:58 I’ve played Airship Fortress countless times on MKDS and MK7 and I don’t think I’ve ever hit one of those burners. Not saying I’m a great player, just that they’re incredibly easy to avoid.
That bend right before the first glider pad is probably the worst, drift breaking alone is possible but is the one turn I try to slow down a little. You can also save some time against the computers by jumping back and forth between both of the split paths
I don't think any mk8 track was made with 200cc in mind. As that speed came out way later. But for me 150cc now feels super slow. I remember training myself for 200cc when it was announced. By listening to music at faster speeds and trying to do mundane tasks faster too.
That air ship road looks bad ass! My buddies and I always try to pick the hardest levels to play on for fun! Yeah, we're a bunch of masochists, lol! We play Ultimate Chicken Horse and intentionally make it impossible to get to the goal, lol! We keep the room closed because when we opened it for everyone all everyone that came in only bitched and moaned that we play to hard, lol!
My opinion is coming off as someone who plays CTGP online (mod with online for Mario kart Wii), mushroom gorge is the hardest track because there's a lot skill needed to know when to use items, and when to take a shortcut. Sure rainbow road is difficult, but if you've practiced it for a few days, it's not that bad.
I don't know man, I find most of the tracks really easy, even on some of the Rainbow Road, like the DS version, I've never had problems with. The only track across the franchies I find the hardest is Donut Plains 3 from Super Mario Kart and it's all because of the bridge section where you have to jump
Newt: Mummy said there were no courses worse than Rainbow Road. No real ones, but there are. Why do they tell little kids that? Ripley: Because usually it's true;
The more I see these videos the prouder I get in me beating 150cc snes mario kart as a kid. When considering the kart physics, size of the track compared to the karts, and the enemy AI ... Snes rainbow road is the toughest overall
Getting a triple mushroom on rainbow road is worse than rainbow road itself. Also, you should do more speedrun videos on Mario spin-offs (Mario & Luigi, Paper Mario, Luigi games)
My top 3 for each game will be SMK - Donut Plain 2 - Ghost Valley 3 - Rainbow Road MK64 - Bowser Castle - Extra Yoshi Valley (cuz I'm bad in mirror mode) - Extra Toad's Turnpike MKSC - Lakeside Park - Ribbon Road - Broken Pier (if you go for the shortcuts) MKDD - Wario Colosseum - Mushroom City - Rainbow Road MKDS - Bowser Castle - N64 Banshee Boardwalk - SNES Choco Island 2 MKWii - Moonview Highway - Rainbow Road - Grumble Volcano MK7 - Maka Wuhu (Cuz if you mess up is over) - Bowser Castle - Wario Shipyard MK8 - 200cc Bone-Dry Dunes - 200cc Twisted Mansion - 200cc Rainbow Road

I always considered moonview highway to be the hardest track in Wii by far It’s just toad’s turnpike but harder. Ok 7’s rainbow road is by far the easiest rainbow road in the series
Another track I always found hard in MKWii was Wario's Goldmine. It took me maybe 50 attemps to get first in every race in the flower cup because of that track
Did you use the cave shortcut? That should help, at least as long as you adjust your speed properly if you're in danger of hitting a mine cart when attempting to go there.
Normally difficulty never make a thing bad, the normally make the game even better with tense stuff, and almost all of those tracks are in my favourite ones
there are literally 3 different tracks that i think is more difficult in mario kart super circuit 3. Yoshi Desert - the track is one of the thinnest of the base tracks. It's easy to fall into the quicksand areas with higher speeds and get pushed offtrack with the low-friction areas. The ai here is also notoriously more Terminator-esque, so much so that they can be considered as part of the level's unique obstacles. This track kills 3-star runs just as hard as the bowser castle levels. 2. Lakeside Park - Welcome to the Special Cup. The game definitely kicks up once you unlock the last cup, and what better track butters you up for hell than this one? Remember how if you messed up the boost jumps in Riverside Park, Cheese Land, and Ribbon Road, you get sent WAAAAY back into the track? On the sharp u-turn and the last u-turn of this track, if your turn is too wide, you would end up hitting the yellow bump and jump over the wall, ruining your progress. The latter is particularly more brutal as it literally sends you the long straight of volcanic hazards, which is at the start! And the game goads you to go wide because of that juicy booster and thick lane of coins! I wouldn't say that you'd have to fear this track when going for a three-star run as the roads are wide and there are plenty of opportunities to raise your skill points. But I suggest you think again before using Bowser for the Special Cup. I'm serious. This is the worst start for him. 1. Bowser Castle 4 - Actually, I think this is the thinnest track in the base game. Drifting here slows you down 80% of the time and catching up is difficult (well, until you reach the mecha koopas since the ai likes running into them but even that part is hard to navigate because it's so tight). You bump into so many walls and the brown low-friction mats can easily slide you into lava if you mess up your racing line, which Rainbow Road doesn't even have. I've had to reset many times here even when I was given star power ups. Oh, and did I mention that this track has the most moving obstacles? The thwomps and mecha koopas all patrol choke points so you'd have to practice slowing down. This track absolutely demolishes 3-star runs, and even if you weren't serious about getting those stars, bumping into those walls and falling into lava (which actually doesn't allow you to go for a lakitu boost so rip catching up) are enough to put you as a non-placer. Honorable Mentions: Ribbon Road and Sunset Wilds

You can also save some time against the computers by jumping back and forth between both of the split paths
This video should’ve been called “Every Bowser’s Castle and Rainbow Road in every Mario Kart game.”
I don't think any mk8 track was made with 200cc in mind. As that speed came out way later.
But for me 150cc now feels super slow. I remember training myself for 200cc when it was announced. By listening to music at faster speeds and trying to do mundane tasks faster too.
i saw airship fortress from mario kart ds and got some insane nostalgia
Me too
That air ship road looks bad ass!
They say every shooting star is another poor bastard falling off Rainbow Road.
Bro on the 3 hardest course on double dash he gets the "Hardest part" PERFECTLY and he does that TWICE!!
Rainbow road: supposed to be the hardest
Copy cat: we’ll take a look at it anyways
Also copycat: wait, I chose rainbow road
I absolutely loved super mario kart. Played that one to death. The 3d karts are all fun, but the first one was my favourite of all time!
Seeing Super Mario Kart without the map is trippy af
The title should have been, "Rainbow Road Is Really Hard"
Cool video dude. 👌🏿😎🗯️🤔💭🆒🇺🇸➡️📖📘📗
Newt: Mummy said there were no courses worse than Rainbow Road. No real ones, but there are. Why do they tell little kids that?
Ripley: Because usually it's true;
Better titled as Rainbow Road and Bowser's Castle evolution
The more I see these videos the prouder I get in me beating 150cc snes mario kart as a kid. When considering the kart physics, size of the track compared to the karts, and the enemy AI ... Snes rainbow road is the toughest overall
MK Wii: The bouncing mushrooms part
DS Rainbow Road, getting mugged by Bowser, the rubberbanding was insane at times, too.
Moonview Highway and Wario’s Gold Mine are much harder than Grumble Volcano imo
Getting a triple mushroom on rainbow road is worse than rainbow road itself.
Also, you should do more speedrun videos on Mario spin-offs (Mario & Luigi, Paper Mario, Luigi games)
What about a golden mushroom?
Grumble volcano becomes downright impossible if you’re playing someone who knows the ultra shortcut
You could say the same for any course. Mkds rainbow has ultra shortcut. Bowsers castle on wii has ultra shortcut.
Huh, didn’t know that, I always thought it was just grumble volcano
My top 3 for each game will be
SMK
- Donut Plain 2
- Ghost Valley 3
- Rainbow Road
MK64
- Bowser Castle
- Extra Yoshi Valley (cuz I'm bad in mirror mode)
- Extra Toad's Turnpike
MKSC
- Lakeside Park
- Ribbon Road
- Broken Pier (if you go for the shortcuts)
MKDD
- Wario Colosseum
- Mushroom City
- Rainbow Road
MKDS
- Bowser Castle
- N64 Banshee Boardwalk
- SNES Choco Island 2
MKWii
- Moonview Highway
- Rainbow Road
- Grumble Volcano
MK7
- Maka Wuhu (Cuz if you mess up is over)
- Bowser Castle
- Wario Shipyard
MK8
- 200cc Bone-Dry Dunes
- 200cc Twisted Mansion
- 200cc Rainbow Road
Tbh, I always thought that Super Circuit came out before 64 when I was younger.
Mario kart always has some tough tracks. Rainbow roads especially
BCWII: Well I'm the hardest cause of my wrapped halls and tight turns.
Rainbowroad MWKII: Ha I'm the hardest for being the most tricked based above pits of instant death!!!
???: Amatures!
RRMKWII: What was that punk?
Mushroom Peaks: AMATURES!!!!
If you think about it,the only Mario kart games that have a single player versus mode are MK DS,MK Wii and MK 8/deluxe
I always considered moonview highway to be the hardest track in Wii by far
It’s just toad’s turnpike but harder.
Ok 7’s rainbow road is by far the easiest rainbow road in the series
Rainbow road is difficult in 200c for sure. Took me forever to get 3 stars on that grand prix in mk8dx
Dude! I love MK8D's bowsers castle!
@@Compucles Yes I do
Normally difficulty never make a thing bad, the normally make the game even better with tense stuff, and almost all of those tracks are in my favourite ones
A lot of the old tracks you mentioned returned in Mario Kart Wii's CTGP Revolution packs as custom retro tracks.
If I got a dollar every time he said “Rainbow Road”, I’d be rich.
Everyone: Rainbow Road
MK64: *TOAD'S TURNPIKE*
I don’t even think he noticed he said ds for Mario kart 7 and not 3ds
I concur with Donut Plains 3 in Super Mario Kart. That course is pure evil.
The N64 part was crazy. Yoshis valley and sherbet land were crazy hard compared to bowsers castle and rainbow road
RAinBow Road:HA-HA
MK64: PINGAS!
The Hardest level in Kirby games
I had no idea Double Dash had a Rainbow Road map, and I played it so much back in the day
I like banshee boardwalk even tho it's tough. I just like the atmosphere. Toads Turnpike 😭
Moonveiw Highway, I do better with inside drifting bikes.
Rainbow Road Wii was definitely the hardest Mario Kart track I’ve ever played
there are literally 3 different tracks that i think is more difficult in mario kart super circuit
I'm surprised he didn't include Neo Bowser City, considering he doesn't like it.
Am I the only one who thinks that neo bowser city is easy?
@@Real_Furious Dood same!! I bet he doesn't like it because he is just bad at it. I'm not bragging by the way.
