- Happy New Years Everyone and welcome to my first video of 2020 where I look at the best items in every Mario game! This video is a lot longer than I expected but I think youll enjoy every second of it! Thanks for watching!!!

7:20 The heart actually heals a whole lot more if you run fast through it. In fact, Ive *never* seen any1 use the heart in that way lol

It may be the most basic, as well as the first, but I'll always love the good ol' fire flower.
That's a powerup though, not an item.
@@Emeraldiouss well, technically the fire flower is an item that you need TO power up. So it still counts as one.

Hey uh
The heart in Mario 64 heals you based off of how fast you run through it. It heals you *much* faster that way.
never knew about the first elevator block in mario land, but knew of the second one later in the level, and the one in the spider cave in 3-2 there, which seems... ya might've missed! kinda funny, for... seems I've learned about a new one, and possibly ya have as well! just know that 3-2's is hidden like the second one in 1-3 is, above a breakable block and whatnot.
In 3Dworld, one of the coolest thing you can do is pick up a shell, run and jump inside it.

My emulator was all buggy I tried several times to record it but I think somethings up with my cpu, was able to get the footage for super Mario land just fine tho so weird

The goomba shoe and carpet are really underrated I hope they appear in future Mario games
But the carpet is basically the same item as the Lakitu cloud.

I kind of wish he would at least mention new Super Mario Brothers 2.
I understand that game is not that original but I feel like there's there's some things in that game that are worth mentioning. He didn't even mention the game in his best boss in every Mario game . Sure almost all the bosses are bad but there's one boss that was really good and that was lugways chain battle where lugway is on chains.

You forgot to do super mario world yoshi's island
Brett Rosenbaum there really were no items in Yoshi's Island, other than the star which only affected Baby Mario. The vehicle transformations Yoshi underwent aren't items really, since you only use them during certain points in the game.

How is the star not the best item in SMB?... yet you consider the canon in 64 an item? Yoshi isn’t an item. Neither is that ball you ride on in Galaxy. A scooter is a vehicle, not an item.

You're the one wrong here. The star is a power up, not an item. Yoshi is an item because it's not a power up and it helps beat the level easier. There isn't a classification for vehicles in the main Mario bros saga

Stops the boss airship from moving I guess
It stops the airship from moving around on the map. Which you don't really need for maybe the 1st half of the game, but the koopalings can get somewhat harder in the rest of the worlds, and then there's Koopa himself.
