  • Welcome back to the Hemi Swap series. if you’re new to the channel, thank you for stopping by!!!
    In this video we go over lessons learned, a video breakdown and a walk around of things missed or not covered in the series.
    Lots of you are probably wondering why I didn’t cover the AC lines. I will be going over that when I do the Camaro fan and Hemi Swap radiator, in the near future.
    Stay tuned for the next video, which will cover the total cost of this project. And hit that notification button so you don’t miss videos coming up in the near future. I have some completed projects that I will be posting in the next couple weeks!!

    Thank you for your informative, detailed, well-done and enjoyable series. I watched it to gain details, learn methods and pick up some tips about the Jeep JKU platform. I have a 2007 Jeep JKU with a Cummins 4BT and a 4L60E transmission. This was purchased largely complete. I have been improving it and would like to maintain it well. Would you consider raising your voice-over volume when you are working? Very good work on your swap and your documentary.

    Great series of videos on all the steps. I have an 08 JKU R.. You have such a calm voice and great humour, i would have been cursing a lot along the way. Looks like the 3 main tools you used were the pick, body removal tool and the 3/8 or 1/4" ratchet Milwaukee ! I don't weld so i guess the bolt-in mounts would be my better choice.
    Couple questions are 1: do you think there would be much interference (engine/manifolds) with a long arm kit?
    2:What transfer case do you have? i have the Rubicon and have heard/read that it's better to have the non-Rubicon t.c.
    I recognized your area/neighbourhood on your driving, as i lived on the other side in K town for many years.

      @@grantjohnson8396 haha thanks, ya those tools are key. I wish I would have had that Milwaukee ratchet years ago. That thing is amazing. I would stick to the non-Rubicon case. Unless you’re heavily into rock crawling. I don’t see a long arm kit being an issue. That is something I will be doing in the near future.

    What are the benefits with a bead lock?

    • @JKB_OFFROAD_olllllllo
      @JKB_OFFROAD_olllllllo  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheMuscelBoy Beadlocks allow you to air your tire down to single digits with your tire falling off the wheel. Or popping a bead. I’ve had them down to 2.5 lbs in snow, which works great. Allows for a bigger footprint, to stay on top of the snow. High horsepower rigs have them to stop the tire from spinning on the wheel.

    How much horse power did you had just with the mufflers and then the hemi

      @@TheMuscelBoy the Ram hemi has 395 with the active runner valve. Mine is an LX hemi. Don’t doesn’t have the runner valve. From what I’ve read, the runner valve gets 15 hp over the Lx. So that puts it at approximately 375-380 ish. I am going to get it tuned in the near future. I will be doing a before and after video on that. So we will see!

    Curious if you had to make any front suspension changes due to the additional weight?

    • @JKB_OFFROAD_olllllllo

      @@JamesBrown-ox8vz the front settled about 1”. So lost that in up travel. If you would like to correct that, you can use the front coils from a JT Gladiator diesel. They have a heavier spring. This will be the route I take when I correct the sag in mine.
