Rescuing dog is the most amazing experience I have ever had, I have had 5 dogs, all of them were rescued from the streets. But I have never been able to give them away, we kept them all. The recovering process is amazing.
You seem like an awesome person. I just became a part time dog Walker with wag and it is restoring my soul to be around them. Good luck with all of your endeavors! You deserve the best for being kind hearted.
I can’t wait to learn more about you! Good for you for finding your passion, it can be a hard thing to do. Ideas for dog walking videos - how to read dog body language - tips on how to walk multiple dogs - marketing ideas (especially digital) I’ll think of more I’m sure :)
Congratulations! 😊 I just came across your channel. Spent most of my life in an office, but this year I took over a pet service. It's been an awesome transition and I love doing something I already enjoyed (I have adopted and fostered rescue dogs from Poland for four years). Thanks for all of your tips videos. 👍
Good luck to you and thank you for all of your wonderful dog walking tips. Follow your path. At 9:45 you say the most enlightening profound statement "You did not know all of this was connected to get you to where you are now" . Profound wisdom! Blessing and prayers moving forward in your future.
Love, Love your passion and devotion to animals!!! Need more people like you on our planet!!!! Thank you!!!! Good Luck to you and the animals thank you!!!!!
This is exactly what i want to do and have come across your videos as I am thinking of taking the leap and quitting my full time teaching job and go full time with my pet sitting business. The end goal would be that I can walk enough dogs during the day (2-3 pack walks) then spend time with charity work either my own or others, walking dogs for the elderly and those recovering away in hospital, working with dogs who are about to go to the shelter because a family can't cope with their behaviour etc. Good luck and I will keep watching! The social media aspect is great and making people feel part of the charity too. Great idea.
I was sad to read this video title but now my eyes are watering with emotion lol love your future plans 💜 Have enjoyed your videos and glad we'll still be seeing you 😃 Good luck with your application and next step goals! X
Your enthusiasm is great, but you MUST, must, must, must prevent and prepare for emotional fatigue and rescue causing mental health issues. It's not all heartwarming. You will lose sleep. You will not make a lot of money switching to a career in a non-profit. My animal career started off in a non-profit animal shelter (two of them) along with starting my own pit bull rescue. I did that from 2004-2018ish. I learned so much, but I saw so many sad things that kept me up at night. Things still haunt me to this day and cause tears to roll down my face. I don't regret what I was able to do for the animals, but it caused a lot of trauma that I don't think I could go back to being as involved in animal rescue that I was. Working directly with the animals is great, but it's the people that make the decisions on policies and on which animals get to live and die, or the volunteers who cause trouble, and the image you have to keep that makes this field so incredibly difficult. Ot's more than you can imagine until you experience it. So, please protect yourself and keep some programs or courses or books and articles close by about burnout, emotional fatigue, and suicide in this field. ❤
Just stumbled on your channel, and I think I've met your dog Django before at the Galleria Pet Valu in Toronto hahaha. I think he was getting a bath? It was at least a year and a half ago but I remember him because I thought he was absolutely gorgeous and I had a lovely convo with the man he was with! I think we were at the store picking up baby gates for our incoming and first foster dog and were so excited... I remember thinking it was so cool that Django was a foreign pup. I can't remember where from though. Egypt maybe? I wanna say Israel? Not to sound weird but I was just so inspired! Our own foster was coming in from Northern Ontario. Django was the first foreign pup I'd encountered back when I was just getting into rescue. The reach of rescue continues to amaze me even a year and twelve foster dogs later. Anyways, just wanted to drop in and say hello cause what a crazy coincidence! I love how big yet small the Toronto rescue community is. What you're doing is amazing :)
YEAH! That would have been him! We used to give him baths there because it's less busy than some of the other pet stores. That's so cool! Wish I was there to meet you. 12 dogs in 1 year, that's so wonderful! Keep up the fab work :)
I saw so scared that you were leaving TH-cam when I read the title. After watching, I am so excited for you and to watch this awesome dream of yours become a reality!
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 you are my soul sister. We have the same vision! I have a background in sales but I love dogs. Starting my dog walking business soon but also going to take graphic arts class. Same reason to help promote other non profits. I worked with horses in the past. Already have a location been praying for. It's an small area but already set up with a stable and some other buildings including a house. Praying for you!! God bless you!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
It's common people who success didn't share it while they still doing it. They decide to share it when they quit. Usually they either share through book (write a book) or social media (TH-cam) and they make money from writting book or as a youtuber. By that time they know that the Gold Era of dog walking business has over or near over, where there are too many players in the game, where the cake is getting hard to get, because of the competition. Those who start early, where there is still a few dog walkers, enjoyed the Gold era, become rich or earn very satisfying income. Now its time to make money in same subject (dog walking) but in different way. They are smart people (like Jacky) who are ahead of the game, and know when to quit. The era of making good income doing dog walking has over, whats left now is company like Rover and Wag who exploit people who desperate to earn, or who just enjoy playing with dog without care about how much money they'll earn, those company is no difference than Uber who exploit their driver, give them very minimum (lower than min wage) compensation. I feel sorry to those of you who just started thinking to become a dog walker for serious income! unless you just want to enjoy play with dogs. Because the idea of getting thousands of dollars doing dog walking has over! Sad but thats the truth. I can say the Gold era is over when company like Rover start! That marks the anticlimax of the Gold Era of dog walking.
That's so exciting. I hope you get in and the idea of your rescue ranch sounds amazing. I always think that if I won the lottery and had enough money to do anything I wanted I would do something similar (i think that dream came from 101 Dalmatians though because I always refer to it as a dalmatian plantation even though I'd want to rescue all kinds of dogs.) I'm currently working towards and hoping to get into an animal care program in January or next fall if I don't get off the waitlist.)
NO WAY! I've been obsessed with 101 Dalmatians my entire life. I've always said that at some point in my life I'm going to have a deaf Dalmatian (a high percentage of Dalmatians are born deaf and then put into shelters and rescues). So funny that we both have the same dream and also love the Dalms. Thanks for the love!
Wishing you all the best. It’s funny for me because I’ve done my career now for 25 yes and now I want to start my own business in dog walking. There’s a lot involved to do it right. Any tips?
I started 2 years ago on Rover and used that to get clients for my business Animal House Pet Care 🐾. After a consistent year my business was doing well. Once you get your repeat clients in place, you're golden. Email animalhouse365@yahoo.com if you need any help or input
It’s so amazing that you found your passion, found yourself and you are happy! Best of luck! I look forward to watching your new videos! I mean! When you get your ranch and all! I imagine that you’d get a lot of funding... set up a go fund me page, get the word out, you’ll have no trouble getting there!
my aunt owns a ranch and its a lot of work don't do it it costs more than 1mill for a year and not even counting the food for it not even the taxes don't do it you have to have the most payed job and you have to never get attached to a dog or animal they may die and you have to have a stone gate or fence and the horses oh those 2mill for 1year you better have a good job!!.
I have the same dream of yours have a gram to rescue dogs I love do rescue I did my dog rescue him that’s makes me realizing Wonderful my family rescue their dogs too.
I hope for it to one day be a place that people can come to work and be around the animals to help with their healing, so you may very well get to see it one day!
we have 2 or 3 boomers at the daycare i work at and one of them loves to eat and roll in poop. and despite being fat as hell he's one of the most hyper dogs i've ever met. whenever he's in the open bays we have to quickly pick up the poop and we had to hose him off the other day
I love your video's 🤣😂🐶🐕🐶🐶🐕🐕🐶🐶🐕🐕 i understand you what you saying about owner's but i presently love dog walking and dog training but🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🐶🐕😁🐕🐶🐶🐕🐕🐶🐕🐶🐕🐕🐕🐶🐕🐕

Amazing dream! Best of luck to you! X
I am in Katy and I’m about to start my program to become a vet tech. I’ve had the same goals as you, so if you need any helping hands I’m here!!
What does it mean when you say you are writing your jury?
Are you still in Houston? I know work with a number of rescues and there are shelters that really could use some help.

I was wondering what happens to your current customer's dogs? Will you refer them to a different company when you do eventually quit?
