Beautiful. It is unfortunate that people become mis-guided emotionally and they project that onto their dogs. They don’t see the dogs as dogs. There should be a mandatory class on given before purchasing or being allowed to purchase or adopt a dog. It will probably never happen as humans can just have babies without a license or a training on how to raise them. Thank you Cesar.
I don't think this has anything to do with obedience but being scared. CM is very harsh. Or like my trainer said he would have made a handsome underwear model in his younger days but he's certainly not a good dog trainer. I done so much damage to my rescue pooch when I first had her and thought CMs way of training suits a dog. I apologized many times and by now she's the best dog ever and she doesn't have to be perfect.
For anyone reading this: I know that dog training can be difficult sometimes, but you're doing great. Keep up the good work, and your dog (and your own sanity) will thank you for it! ❤️💕
I learn many things about my behavior and how it affects my dogs AND cats. I try to calm down BEFORE taking them for walks and I learn how to correct the dogs behavior immediately. Thank you César Milan, you are my hero 😉😁🥰

Caesar is absolutely brilliant with animals, I think maybe it's the owners that need help. Animals pick up on there owners feelings, and it was so plain to see with this owner and her dog.
That lady needs to seek professional help from a psychiatrist. Don't mean no offense, she just looks like she has lots of unsolved issues and needs help to deal with the her loss.
Grieving is a process. Some people just don't get through a traumatic loss instantly or all at once, it takes time for most people, and even then you never truly get over the thought of losing someone who's been in your life for so long. She probably should have resolved her issues a bit before taking on the responsibility of taking care of her best friend's dog without using it as a crutch for her feelings, but she's at least proactive with this situation by getting help from Ceasar. She didn't just give up, so I give her kudos for that.
@@stancooksj I'm not criticizing her for grieving, I only suggested she needs professional help. Cesar can help her only so much, to understand the dog and human relationship. I can't remember which episode it was but there was another one where a lady had adopted a dog and was projecting her emotional experience onto the dog, Cesar just couldn't get through to her, there was no issues with the dog but as soon as she was handling it the dog would take over because she was the weaker one in the two. So Cesar made sure to introduce her to a holistic psychiatrist or something, that really helped her and she started to work on herself and her issues which made her bond woth the dog better and control it.
@@oangst9900 I understand what you're saying and I know you aren't criticizing her grief process, but she's actively seeking help that's the point I'm making. Who's to say that this situation won't lead to more help for her in the future? Like the example you gave, some people just need to hear these things from an outside source. Cesar also helps people realize that they're the issue and he also shows WHY they are they issue too. So indirectly, she is getting help for herself, she's trying to be a better owner which in turn will make her a better person. You don't necessarily need psychiatric help to achieve this goal.
Yup. The correction is meaningless if you don’t give the right kind of energy to allow the behavior you want or the pathway to allow the dog to move on. You communicate with a dog with your energy.
I liken it to speaking to a hearing impaired person. Raising your voice isn't "yelling & screaming" at them. It's just so they can hear you. Cesar says many times in the Dog Whisperer series (which is better than 911, imo. more informative, less entertainment) that the correction's intensity matches a dog's intensity (level 3 versus level 8 red zone). But, there's never any impatience/frustration/anger. Turning up the intensity to match the dog's, so you can be heard, is just that. It's the same concept as the 1-10 dial on a vibration collar. Some dogs only need 3. Others need 8. There is no "attitude" involved in dialing it up to 8. No anger or frustration. It's just what the dog needs to hear your communication.
It’s a lot more than that. Nothing short of a sufficient distraction and redirecting will get the job done, especially if the dog and the person handling them don’t have a bond. Obedience comes before behavioral correction.
Cesar's knowledge and wisdom about dogs is spot on, and his techniques are timeless! This was an excellent episode - I cried tears of joy for Leon and his family! Enjoyed his work for years (years) and it has helped me change with my dogs.
I'll say it once, and I'll say it again. It's never the dogs fault, it's always the owners. The woman shouldn't be walking the dog period , if she can't control the dog with pure strength, and if she can't keep herself calm, then the dog despite ALL the training you give them will NEVER change. If you're afraid to get your hands dirty while walking a dog, stopping them, touching them, telling them to sit ect ect then you shouldn't own a dog period.
@Not Leviathan So well said! Absolutely if a dog is acting out, it's ALWAYS the fault of the human. This woman is a JOKE. And her ball-less boyfriend should be ashamed of himself. By the way, it is "etc.", not "ect." The way you can remember is that this is an abbreviation of the Latin "et cetera" or "and others". So to shorten it, it is "etc." or in the old days, "&c.", which I loved. But that was in my last life, and that cool abbreviation has gone by the wayside.
Watching this has given me some hope, as we also have a very aggressive dog. Mr. Millan is a genius & has a insightful understanding into a dog's behavior. Unfortunately, as I am a well seasoned senior, I am apprehensive of my skill, & would welcome any additional help from Mr. Millan.
That was difficult to watch. It really hit me hard when Lisa's mother referred to losing her daughter as a punishment - as if she were somehow responsible for this terrible tragedy.
The idea that the mother blames herself, referring to her daughters death as a punishment. That breaks my heart. That was not your fault mama, it wasn't. Time to heal. Remember her, in your heart. Love her always, she doesn't blame you...
I love what he does I’ve actually learned a lot from him and have put all the tricks into my grooming job and now I deal with a lot dogs other groomers can’t do
It isn't the question, Cesar, the question is "can I change the OWNER to be more assertive and take charge of their dog? I see people actually petting their dog, saying sweetly "oh, you shouldn't do that", while they continue to pet--encouraging, the dog.
You can tell the owners are looking more with judgment than anything. Like OMG look at how he’s treating him. When the end outcome is what’s most important. A minute of training for a lifetime of happiness is totally worth it, be Grateful!
11:20 "You need to tap them on the back ? " This reaction right there tells you all you need to know about this bunch of people. I'm sure that lady was thinking "animal abuse" right off the bat. I can understand that losing someone so young is devastating but projecting all that hurt and pain onto an innocant dog is in no way a good thing.
I wonder how she was “correcting” him aside from pulling on the leash? Some dog owners refuse to “correct” a second of discomfort vs having the dog continues to live in high anxiety.
This dog was always some sort of aggressive . I hope that Cesar can help all of them ... But IF COURSE CESAR WILL HELP ! Grief is a heavy companion ... how lucky is it that animals accept each day as it comes - much unlike humans . Let's not put our human problems onto our beloved dogs . Thank you , Cesar .
I feel that it might be best if they gave this dog to a new owner who didn't know Lisa. They could still love him from a distance. Sometimes letting go can be an expression of love. With a new owner that wonderful dog could have a chance at real happiness.
Although this young lady is struggling her dog has to be rehabilitated with this young lady is also learning about her personality things she probably wasn’t aware of and hopefully Cesar can bring them both back into balance
You just have to be calm and assertive. My dogs know when I’m not giving the walk my all As soon as I realize that they aren’t following me, I correct my energy and take lead. They make me realize when I’m projecting crap energy.
Kaitlyn clearly is anxious and she needs a lot of work on her self. I hope she finds some peace but sometimes you have to give up something in order for them to give them a better life
I learned alot from Cesar thank you. As a dog owner, I made alot of mistakes when I first adopted my dog back in 2011 but over the years, I already know how to calm, control, lead my dog and let him know I am the Alpha.
Ours is golden retriever/black lab 2 years old we rescued from sister-in-law who was very abusive to her. We are using Cesar info to help her. We love her alot. Thank you for the help. Cesar
I am so sorry about their loss So hard on everyone including the dog She is too worried about her hair it was annoying Pull it back and pay attention!!! You should stop focusing on how you will look and concern yourself with what is going on
I feel her pain. I have experienced similar actions with my rescue retriever. Rescue is so much different than raising a pup. He's coming along good with people now but still have a problem with other dogs in close proximately. The problem with untrained people such as myself, we don't necessarily notice the dogs body language early enough. The training and effort I have had to put in with this dog has been exhausting. I hope one day he can be as gentle as my last Goldens were.
So Kailyn, sure you love this dog because he’s attached to your friend you’ve been grieving but your anxiety that you’re projecting is not safe for him. Kailyn has to know she’s not safe or healthy for this dog. Maybe another owner is what’s best for him or she needs some therapy for her anxiety to better help raise Leon.
First of all... Don't generalize Americans... Second of all that woman just did not know how to take care of a dog properly..and keep in mind she was greving the loss of her friend so she had other things on her mind.
Day 1 of trying to get ahold of Cesar to help my friend with her dog. She has health issues and needs help really bad with the dog. Love from Minnesota brother!
that choice of words really reveals a lot on her side of the process. she feels guilty about things we don't know. but it is her own personal experience.
Yes, I thought the same thing. It must be very hard to get over a loss if that's how you think about it. Viewing it as a punishment implies that the mom feels she did something wrong (?) or that she has some guilt about it? I don't know, but it sure stood out for me.
Bless all the humans who lost that lovely young woman and who are mourning her death. I'm so glad Cesar is helping them, I'm 100% confident he'll get that sweet dog squared away!! I wish I saw more of Cesar actively working with the dog, though. I have similar issues with my German Shepherd in terms of dog aggression. I've watched tons of training videos and have made SOME progress, but just found a trainee I like--one brief session, and my timing on corrections MUCH improved. Pretty sure we'll manage the issue much better now that I have an experienced trainer teaching ME the correct response & timing!😁
What you said about humans making a story in their minds and acting from that, while dogs don't ... that's well put. That's something that I've noticed when trying to analyze how my dogs think and react different than I do. Dogs don't have the complicated egos like we do. Part of that lack of a story. They don't compare between themselves and others long term, between how it was then and how it is now. They want stuff, they try to get what they want, or avoid what they don't like. They feel affection and hate, fear, protectiveness, loyalty, responsibility, pride and status, all like us. They play, they tease, they figure out how things work, they have a sense of humor, they can also be kind. But they don't weave it into a story or keep a story going. It can shift quickly with the circumstances. They don't get hurt feelings like we do. They don't do abstract ideas. We say a sunset is pretty and admire the colors. That kind of pretty doesn't exist for them. They see you like sunset time when you say that. Maybe because it's cooling down and getting dark, maybe because the hunting is good then, maybe because it means supper time.
I believe that everyone can have a dog (with some real exceptions) but they need to have the right tools, the right knowledge and the right energy and attitude. That's why Cesar have a lot of work teaching people.
Thank you all for watching! Wishing you all a great day full of peace and love!

Die Frau ist so ängstlich das der Hund sie beschützen will. Er spürt ihre Angst. Danke Cesar
Omg what a wonderful woman to not give up on her friend’s dog!!! ❤️
Thank you that you save dogs before the dead. Thank you for all Cesar♥️
10 mins in, I agree.😲

Great episode. Really shows how our emotional/psychological state impacts our dogs.
Bang on !
I agree with you. Problem is, many pet sellers/brokers could care less. Just buy the dog they say.
I like the way you just say shhhhh to the dog and he listens. The dogs are just so obedient when you're around. You can really read the dog's minds.
Cesar! Qué hombre tan admirable. Mi hermano te adoraba y también tenía ese don tan hermoso de agudar a los perros. Eres un gran ejemplo de disciplina y entereza.
I need to stop binge watching Cesar’s videos. It’s already 1:47am and I gotta wake up at 5:00am but I loveeeee all his videos 😩 so addictive 🤤
Me to girl me to
Story o my life😂😂😂😂. All the best
I swear to god s the same thing happening to me right now 😂😂
Me too😂
Respect 🐕 trainer Caesar Millan. No doubt he’s a human trainer who trains all kinds of
🐕 🐩 in his life. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🍺🍻🥂🍻🥂🍺🍻🥂🍺🍻🥂🍺🍻🥂🍺
Maybe she does see a psychiatrist and just cannot stop grieving. Stop being an a**hole on TH-cam
@@HomesteadAtLast how am I being an a**hole by being concerned about her wellbeing?
Cesar is a blessing to dogs! He knows how to read dog behavior and helps dog owners all around the world.
I think I get it, is not just a correction, is communication, Cesar is telling the dog "is okay we're safe" he is indeed the dog whisperer
Yeah..he is AWESOME!!A natural talent!! Perhaps even a bit " supernatural" cause not everyone has his abilities.
I WISH I could do what he does. My Chihuahua is beyond "psycho"..
Rest easy Lisa! And may your mom find peace with your departure! 💖💖
Ne plus avoir mal mais se rappeler ... Une belle leçon de vie, merci Cesar pour cette belle pensée.
Cesar's knowledge and wisdom about dogs is spot on, and his techniques are timeless! This was an excellent episode - I cried tears of joy for Leon and his family! Enjoyed his work for years (years) and it has helped me change with my dogs.
She said “im hyper alert” ...thats a way of saying im a nervous wreck
Haha! Yeah. I thought she would have a panic attack. 🤣🤣
I say I’m hyper alert when I mean I’m paranoid lmaooo
It was tough to watch her just keep standing there .. hand to mouth. While the dog is attacking other animals .. ugh
It’s sad I really think she needs help herself.. I don’t mean that in a mean way at all whatsoever
@@tengri23 An experience thats not funny.
I need Cesar to snap me out of my anxiety and aggression. 🤣
Me to
Same here😹
Shhhh!!
Why would someone unleash an aggressive dog at a dog park?
WHO DOES THAT??
I love what he does I’ve actually learned a lot from him and have put all the tricks into my grooming job and now I deal with a lot dogs other groomers can’t do
It isn't the question, Cesar, the question is "can I change the OWNER to be more assertive and take charge of their dog? I see people actually petting their dog, saying sweetly "oh, you shouldn't do that", while they continue to pet--encouraging, the dog.
Cesar: You have an emotional attachment to this dog
Mom: Yeah *smiles*
Cesar: It's not a compliment
She lost her daughter obviously she gonna have emotional attachment towards something that is related to her
Did he actually say it's not a compliment??
You can tell the owners are looking more with judgment than anything. Like OMG look at how he’s treating him. When the end outcome is what’s most important. A minute of training for a lifetime of happiness is totally worth it, be Grateful!
“I’m getting my increased heart rate” 😂😂😂 I’m sorry, I have anxiety and all, but that was hilarious
It's a California thing I think?
So extra haha
I thought the same thing! 😂🙄 🙄
Lmao
What a wimpy person! Disgusting... and not uncommon now-a-days.
11:20 "You need to tap them on the back ? "
This reaction right there tells you all you need to know about this bunch of people. I'm sure that lady was thinking "animal abuse" right off the bat. I can understand that losing someone so young is devastating but projecting all that hurt and pain onto an innocant dog is in no way a good thing.
You're a good boy Leon, I'm sure your Mommy would be incredibly proud of you❤️
I wonder how she was “correcting” him aside from pulling on the leash? Some dog owners refuse to “correct” a second of discomfort vs having the dog continues to live in high anxiety.
👋👋👋
His " shhht " scares me and it made me clean my whole room 😂😂
lol
Shhhhhhht 🙃😁
😃
am dying....lol
Hahahaha!
I always watch Cesar on TV. Now I can watch him anytime on utube. It's so easy on him training dogs. I like that.
We Miss you Mr Ceaser! Your a Good ♂️ man!!! Miss ( DADDY to!!!!
A really sad story. Those are good people doing all they can to take the best possible care of the dog.
I hope that everything will go well.
It’s sad when the original had passed and the new owner boy I really feel for her 😢
Thank you Cesar for all of the work you do for dogs and their humans.
Stay safe and healthy , Cesar! God bless you and your family and your pets...
Cedar is a genius. Almost always the dog owner.
Leon IMMEDIATELY calmed down with Cesar. Act as Cesar acts, be like Cesar is. Don't be whimpy with a dog. Then they have to be head 'o' the pack.
You just have to be calm and assertive. My dogs know when I’m not giving the walk my all
As soon as I realize that they aren’t following me, I correct my energy and take lead. They make me realize when I’m projecting crap energy.
Yea it's huge
I love this type episode and cesar sir stay healthy stay fit
No one can compare to Cesar’s expertise in helping dogs.
Kaitlyn clearly is anxious and she needs a lot of work on her self. I hope she finds some peace but sometimes you have to give up something in order for them to give them a better life
She doesn't deserve the dog
FELICIDADES CESAR. ORGULLO MEXICANO PARA EL MUNDO
I learned alot from Cesar thank you. As a dog owner, I made alot of mistakes when I first adopted my dog back in 2011 but over the years, I already know how to calm, control, lead my dog and let him know I am the Alpha.
😢
"No. Just watch.. just watch.. just hyperventilate over here." - Cesar Millan, 2021
THIS KILLED ME LOL XD
I know right 🤣🤣🤣
I came across your videos by total accident, you are tremendous Cesar!
Ours is golden retriever/black lab 2 years old we rescued from sister-in-law who was very abusive to her. We are using Cesar info to help her. We love her alot. Thank you for the help. Cesar
These people live in a really nice area! Beautiful houses, beautiful lawns, beautiful neighborhoods. Nice.
And some of the most restrictive animal laws in the country. :(
I hope he posts more about Leon and how he is doing today !! Did he help Leon to go in the pool ? Please update you did an amazing job with him !!
Caesar's technique is brilliant! I told have a learned a lot from the videos, not only for my dog, but for myself as well.
Cesar is a good psychologist 👍👍👍
I always learn and enjoy this so much. Oh and you look great .
I am so sorry about their loss So hard on everyone including the dog She is too worried about her hair it was annoying Pull it back and pay attention!!! You should stop focusing on how you will look and concern yourself with what is going on
Dear Lord please stop Messing with your hair because you’re going to get yourself hurt and other people or even the dog
The hair touching is a nervous behavior...
Her hair touching/flipping is unconscious. It is a anxious coping behaviour NOT a conscious attempt at better grooming.
Messing with your hair is a reaction of nervousness…
Human Trainer and makes the pet calm also.
Fantastic work in very little time
🌹🌹🌹🌹
I have lost my dog but you helped me with her attitude when she attacked other dogs after the dog lost her pal lab you are so awesome 😇🥰🥰🤗
😮😢😢😂😂😢😮
So many Americans don’t know how to be their dogs leader! They are over nice to their dog they don’t understand they’re not humans ...
And they give animals human emotions .
Please don't do this , people .
First of all... Don't generalize Americans... Second of all that woman just did not know how to take care of a dog properly..and keep in mind she was greving the loss of her friend so she had other things on her mind.
@thickock45
Uhm and exactly how do you know that only Americans are on the show??
Read my comment again and answer my question.
Day 1 of trying to get ahold of Cesar to help my friend with her dog. She has health issues and needs help really bad with the dog. Love from Minnesota brother!
Best of luck
"I'm getting my increased heart rate"...SERIOUSLY LADY?! Poor dog!
she's a mess
Controlling emotions is hard, especially fear
Cesar is a better psychologist than any "real" psychologist I've ever met.
Wow what an emotional story and God bless you all for helping that beautiful dog.
Where do we see the rest aka Part 2? I feel like I just watched a movie with a Cliffhanger ending.
(2:13) My heart goes out to Lisa for the loss of her daughter - but wonder why she calls that a “punishment”?
that choice of words really reveals a lot on her side of the process. she feels guilty about things we don't know. but it is her own personal experience.
Because that is what it feels like
@@mariafury1047 for some people honey. it is not the same for everybody
Yes, I thought the same thing. It must be very hard to get over a loss if that's how you think about it. Viewing it as a punishment implies that the mom feels she did something wrong (?) or that she has some guilt about it? I don't know, but it sure stood out for me.
Maybe she was the one who booked the cruise? She feel responsible.
I love him. If only we could all treat animals equal to us
What you said about humans making a story in their minds and acting from that, while dogs don't ... that's well put.
If there's one thing I've learned from Cesar is that not everyone is qualified to own a dog.
I believe that everyone can have a dog (with some real exceptions) but they need to have the right tools, the right knowledge and the right energy and attitude. That's why Cesar have a lot of work teaching people.
kaitlyn is making the dog anxious
She said she gets anxious when her dog gets close to a pack of dogs, and with Cesar and Cesar's dogs there. Girl, get a gold fish.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
El mejor profesor que e tenido gracias asere 👏🙏
I love you Cesar ❤️
There should be a Cesar Millan calender. Him with all sorts of dogs. And proceeds can go to the sanctuary.
