Whoah, the video bar is timestamped. Is that brand new for TH-cam or just new for this channel? Good video topic by the way, my 200-yard wide driver dispersion is the product of a 'mild' two-way miss.

I own the Ping G SFT and, let me tell you, bad swings can still produce a severe slice. That said, I don't slice nearly as much a I used to. I attribute that to the club as much as to my deliberate attempts to practice and improve my swing.
    Great video!

Great video but why is there so much difference between models? I play an M2 2017 d spec set upright and still slice the crap out of it, in my specs I may add. 65g tenasi blue shaft with midsize grip. Because that was the case I bought a Cleveland launcher stiff Cleveland gold shaft midsize grip and it’s either straight or if I get it wrong the miss is always left. What is causing this? Any ideas? Anyone? Please?

Great video. I suffer from the high right pushes with a touch of a slice the odd time. If I can tweak my G410 plus set up by shifting the weight to the toe it would probably help. Given there is no upright option, only flat, would lowering the loft help counteract the high ball flight or would it leave the driver open and undo the weight movement from neutral to toe?

  • @KentRodgman
    @KentRodgman 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I can't get enough of this channel. I've even gone for my first ever club fitting today! The results were very interesting, as it turns out I thought I had a loft problem with a really high ball flight, but it was really a spin issue. The G410 and the Maverick both performed basically identical to my old TM Burner Superfast 2.0, at least in my hands. But as soon as I hit the Sim MAX the spin was half and I gained 40 yds... The downside was it came with a 30 yard draw that I could just not seem to do anything about. After watching so much of this channel, I had some ideas but the fitter didn't seem to want to try and dial it out... I guess the moral of the story here is it seems like a waste of money to go to anywhere but TXG at this point. When are you opening a location in western Canada?! haha

Awesome content. thank you so much guys. I recently bought a TaylorMade M6 driver and I was having trouble squaring the face (slice) on my fast swings. Adjusted the Loft up by 1 (+0.75 deg loft) Wich closes the face 1.5 deg. and this has definitely fixed that problem. Not only hitting more more Fairways now but so much confidence when setting up to hit a drive. I enjoy all your videos. Keep it up!

It is always the channel you save for last. You start with the channels you like, but the topic isn't necessarily of interest. The ones you save for last are the mainstays (you guys, Etches, Robinson, Crossfield, Shiels, Finch, et. al.). The very last one is one of the mainstays BUT the topic is also very interesting. As a high speed player swinging at around 121 and have a miss to the right as a right handed player I would love an option for a club the has stability in the shaft to control the dynamic loft and maintain lowish spin and not leave the face open at impact, it’s my biggest issue and playing tournaments with OB on the right is absolute fear, every “players” driver is anti left and that’s all I hear from everyone that’s what they want, I’d love to see the ball turn over, straighten up a flight that over draws for me is so easy, getting a straighter flight once I’ve seen one start right and fade is an impossibility, especially under the gun in tournament play

I am doing a driver fitting at Club Champion (I know it's your competitor, but you are nowhere near me) but this video really encapsulates my problems with my driver. More often than not I have a shape that goes right, sometimes it is a fade, but it also sometimes is a slice. If I could just force it to a draw bias this may solve my issues. Are you able to do this with a lot of different clubs or only the Ping? I think the TS driver series has the capacity to dial in settings like the Ping. Unfortunately, the Ping just doesn't suit my eye.

Make sure you try Mavrik Max. But keep in mind that if your swing path is hard out to in, the best you're ever going to do is turn your slice into a straight pull.

While I appreciate the adjustability of modern drivers, isn’t all of that adjustability just hiding (and promoting) an otherwise bad swing habit? It seems like it would be better to correct a bad swing rather than try to adjust it out of your game. It would get more complicated (in my opinion) when you move from said driver to a different club in your bag that isn’t adjustable as now you’re left wondering if the problem is the club or your swing. Thanks for all of the advice; I found the channel during quarantine and promptly subscribed. On to 100K!

Ive thought for a while, for example, a ping lst 9 degree set to fade and a 10.5 degree sft for a draw in the bag would benefit people more than a driver 3 wood setup. 45.5 inch bomber driver, 44.5 draw driver, 4 wood, 20 degree hybrid or some such bag composition.

How does the moderate swing speed player keep backspin down when using these draw influencing setups? If I understand correctly, the SFTec would tend to increase backspin all the while many reviewers indicate slower swing speed (90-93) players can benefit greatly from a low spin driver head.

Swing path -7.2 out to in . Gaming g410plus in draw setting 9 degree lofted down to 8 was the fitting spec .
    Club speed 105
    Face angle -2.0
    Face to path 4
    Angle of attack 0.5 up
    Ball speed 155
Would you recommend lofting up to max 10.5 and closing the face to avoid the high right miss ?? Asking for a friend 😂😂
Great content as always gents 👍🏼

I have a friend who hits a big fade. Plays an old driver with a really light 55g soft shaft. Because of the shape he aims left. I talked him into trying my driver G400 LST -1 deg so open in a 75g X flex. But told him to aim it straight and swing right. Ball went down the middle with a baby draw. Everything you say in this video is spot on but people are there own worst enemy they slice so they aim left (righty’s) set the face open to path and shock it slices. So they aim further left. BTW love the vids keep it up good luck on 100K

By the numbers it really seems to be the Lie Angle that dictates everything. Isn't there a trick by changing the sleeve of your RH driver to the sleeve of a LH driver and the lie angle changes???

Would you guys say that the 2016 m2 is a fade bias driver?. My miss is a hook and that driver for whatever reason seems to eliminate that completely. But I have no idea why... any ideas why?

How would this work for a right handed golfer who slices far right, could the Ping driver help me out cause this is exactly what I do with my driver and I would love to be in the fairway with a 200 plus bomb

Wait, so closing the face actually increased the loft from 10.5 to 12 or did I misunderstood Ian?

Absolutely agreem G410 is the one club I always go to when customers needs to have one side of the course taken away. Also, I'm one of those hook guys myself. Been playing an 2016 M2 HL @10 degrees with an Oban Kiyoshi White 1" short. That beauty stops my hooks all day.

Got a sldr s moved the slider all way too draw and gave it a bash and works a treat alot straighter and some big carry numbers too. Could you guys test this using the stealth plus? Using the slider. Similar club to sldr.

Very impressed, I suspect 10.5 is the absolute max loft I would want. Could you get this for a 4w or 5w (currently I play Epic 5w delofted to 17 degrees so effectively a 4w). I suffer from the "over fade" with both driver and fairway wood
