I think that ball he hit at the All Star game in Detroit is still in orbit.

Reggie's 3 home runs in the 77 WS was a top 5 moment in baseball history.

U see with Reggie not only the home runs he hit was great but watch the way he runs around the bases like he was ROYALTY NO OTHER HOME RUN HITTERS RAN IN SUCH A DIGNIFIED MANNER, ONE OF THE HARDEST THINGS TOO DO IN SPORTS IS TOO HIT A FAST BALL SO WHEN U DO HIT ONE " PUT SOME RESPECT ON " .

Honorable mention is the homer he hit off of John Denny in 1981 after getting beaned by him. Reggie was talking to him all the way around the bases, then he charged the mound after touching home plate. Epic.

John Denny never beaned Reggie Jackson. It was a brush back pitch, and it never touched him.

Reggie actually told the story later that he was tired of getting plunked that season and Guidry wasn’t standing up for him during the season. Denny threw a brushback pitch and Reggie got mad. He later hit a home run and stood at the plate a bit longer than usual watching it. Denny got mad as Reggie grinned going around the bases. He wasn’t saying anything just grinning. He said as he crossed home Denny had walked closer off the mound and stared at Reggie. Reggie didn’t like it and went after him.

The most important home run that Reggie Jackson hit in the 1977 season was his 10th inning walk off in late July of 1977 against the Orioles Scott McGregor as the Yankees trailed the Orioles by 2 games and George Steinbrenner was going to fire Billy Martin if the Yankees lost that game.

I was 23 years old on vacation in NYC from London in July '81 staying with my aunt on Grand Concourse just a sones throw from Yankee Stadium. Had no interest or connection with Baseball but all I heard about everyday was the slump a guy named Reggie Jackson was going through . Radio. TV, newspapers. even churches I attended whilst there for the six weeks I was in New York. Decided to attend a game at Yankee stadium to see what all the fuss was about. Reggie had been benched as a result of his slump - cant remember who the Yankees were playing but at one point the stadium rropted as one yelling' REGGIE REGGIE!'. The atmosphere was electric., never experienced anything like it in my life. He didnt n batt that night but It was at that moment that I began to love Basell. The Yankees and Mr Jackson and 've supported them ever since.❤ I remember waiting in the airport lounge getting ready to gly home when I watched Reggie hut a single I believe to reach base. I saw it on one of those mini TVs you put money in the slot to watch. Great memories. Go Yankees!❤

I’m told by friends that Reggie wanted to play baseball with my friends and I in Baltimore when we were about 12yrs old,he would have been about 7 then. I’m told that I told him he couldn’t play with us because he was too little. I don’t remember him but I did no his brother who lived in Baltimore at that time. Reggie was living in Philly I believe and came to Baltimore for the weekend. When he played for the orioles and had 2 strikes in the bottom of the 9th with the winning run on base we always knew he could come thru and he did many times. What a clutch player

3:40 What I remember about that home run was that it was a WALKOFF TWO-RUN HOME RUN and the Yankees won 2-0, with Ron Guidry or Ed Figueroa pitching the complete-game shutout and Thurmon Munson leading off the bottom of the ninth with a single prior to Reggie's walk-off blast versus Reggie Cleveland.

The All Star homer was it for me. Now I’d seen Reggie and the A's in 1970 and he hit a homer, who I forget, and was impressed.
I do remember Blue Moon Odom started for Oakland.

Folks don't know this, but the next time Doc Ellis faced Reggie in 1976, he hit him in the face, breaking his glasses.

You know, born in 1955, I just thought, who in baseball history could have, would have hit a line drive home run of the power generator, and THEN hit 4 home runs in that Yankee World, only one other man came to mind, I read or saw in tube that Babe Ruth hit a home run shot, in Tampa Bay, exhibition game, they still arguing the distance, 550 feet, 535, 600, Babe was young in 1919, or correct me on the date...Reggie the greatest

Back when the All Star game was exciting. Growing up outside of Philadelphia we rarely saw American League teams. So it was an extra treat to see all those exciting Oakland A's and the Orioles, etc. at midseason.

I’m a lifelong Yankee fan, and I LOVE Reggie Jackson. He is my favorite Yankee of all time (maybe Jeter is a tie). Reggie is not only a great baseball player, he’s also really smart, with a great attitude and he played against both Billy Martin and George Steinbrenner.

Even his 2-game comment about the loss column is analytics.
