- I could not find anything out there telling me it would be ok to simply pop off the chrome covers on my 2018 Ford Explorer roof rails so I wanted to give you piece of mind that you can easily with a one inch chisel and it makes life real easy to black these out while they are off the vehicle rather than tape around them on!

Bro! Thanks for making this video. Someone stole my left cap last week! I had no idea how they got the thing off so fast and without any tool marks. Now I know... I just found a new part online so I guess I'll order it. Thanks again man.
My driver's side rail just popped up in the rear. It's weird that these rails look like they slide into locking position. I can't figure out how they were installed and stayed in place.

Jason Gagne I just did my Ford Explorer with Plasti Dip wrap paint came out amazing did the front grill door handles black strip and emblems took it through the self car wash to see if it would chip or peel out it's very durable and did not hurt it at all .

Just as an aside to this... Those roof rail covers will start popping off all on their own soon if they haven't already. Usually towards the back... Mine did it constantly and so I just removed the entire roof rails completely.
