Love your channel! I'm a research scientist/medical abstractor. I really like "Quick Reference Handbook for Surgical Pathologists". It's a great guide for all the different immunostains, divided up by organ system.
I'll be having my pre residency this month. Does pathology residency require a lot of reading or memorizing books? I actually don't know if I am fit for pathology. 😞
Residency requires you to learn a lot of information, but it doesn't mean you have to memorize textbooks. I did most of my learning at the scope with the attending, and reviewing ExperPath and shorter summary books. I have bought thick textbooks, but I don't read them. Instead, I refer to it for information on a certain entity that I am currently curious about.
Resident book funds. Also you don't need all of these. I'd say just wait till you are more sure of what fellowship you want to do. Biopsy interpretation series is the cheapest of the bunch.
Sorry, I am completely at a loss for CP resources. Though, it seems that most CP rotation doesn't really require any specific textbooks. Most CP training is done through lectures material. The WHO blue book for Hemepath is great!

Lot's of people prefer Robbins at Undergrad and even Postgrad level but you didn't mention it.
Because it is practically useless for residency.
does pathology mean the same as anatomical and cytopathology ???
Pathology is broken into anatomical and clinical. Cytopathology is under anatomical pathology.

Im a resident in pathology in india, is it wise to do usmle now in my post grad will i be able to match into residency in usa ?
If you wish to apply to residency in the US, you will need to have good USMLE scores.
