Well take note of one thing that she said. Not only does she have family to help (we can assume), but she said she also had a HUSBAND even at that time. If you have direct help and support, it makes it that much more doable and possible. Likewise, the lack of that is one of the few main things that make it IMPOSSIBLE (for most). The others being not learning to be a good student/ not learning how to study, not being organized, not being disciplined (not able to make your mind that you'll do the things you have to do, the things that are scheduled, and sticking to it no matter what/ pushing off and avoiding all of the things that pop up in life that will prevent you. You know you need to study a certain thing, at a certain time, for a certain amount of time, you push everything off that will prevent you and you do it- as one example).
But again, often times, if someone has all of the above, with NO help and support, that's what makes it impossible or close to impossible, and that's where most don't make it in, or get in and fail/ have to drop out/ etc. This applies to both nursing and medical schools. But maybe even more so with medical schools, solely because of the fact that when I think about it, I almost never see or hear of someone completing medical school, without any help and support system behind them. Maybe it's common, but I personally haven't seen or heard of it. I'm open to someone sharing their experience or insight on this being common, despite me never seeing or hearing of it.

Pathologists are often under utilized. I try to tell everyone with a loved one dealing with cancer to talk to the pathologist on the case. Get second pathologist opinions. I say talk to the pathologist because they are well informed about the different treatments and prognoses. More importantly , they tend to have the time to answer your questions fully since their time is usually flexible

Dear Dr., I'm not sure if you heard of the Kiely Rodni case in California. Another creator on TH-cam had a general practitioner on her live stream going over the autopsy results and I felt it was overly broad in her conclusions. Would you mind taking a look at the report and analyzing it to put a stop to some of the speculation, conspiracy theories and misconceptions?

Back when I was interested in becoming a Pathologist it wasn't in the media, unlike now, especially forensic pathology, and I was HEAVILY dissuaded as a female from pursuing it. In fact, I was supposed to career shadow one, and day of instead they paired me with a PR woman!
