I really appreciate your channel and think that's very underrated. Keep the great work
Great interview. I hope that you consider adding name the names or contacts of the hosts if they don't mind.
Hi Is it possible for me to pursue any of these fellowships without completing a pathology residency in Canada, as I have already completed a residency in pathology in my home country (India)?
I'm a Histologist, thinking about pursuing CP i wonder if its worth it?
Hello, Dr.Wang:) I’m interested in pathology residency in the USA as an IMG. Can I get in touch with you via email for further questions? Thank you for your videos -very informative and interesting!
It would be insane if you responded two years after you made this video, but I wanted to ask can a biopsy show evidence of bile damaging the stomach lining?
Thank you, please upload more vedios
Grossing and necropsy is almost a deal breaker for me yikes. I spleened mice in infectious disease research for years even saw a PI get TB from a bad stick! Scary. As a pathologist I’d be afraid of prion disease.
Thank you, Dr And thank Chatgpt for recommending u
I am also an academic GI pathologist, in my 10th year. My views of the pathology system are identical to yours. Workload is way too high, no time for academic activities, pay is too low compared to other medical specialties, and our importance in medical management is overlooked. Pathology needs more people to advocate for the specialty.
Thanks for your info. I learned some things.
Sure don't hope I get Canada-esophagitis. Thanks for the vid! :)
Very helpful, thanks very much!
hi, do you give grade for presence of HPylori in gastritis specimen?
Mam do you earn 300k dollars a year as a pathologist? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.
I like the idea and life style of pathology but I didn't like histology and pathology lectures 😢
Hi. Thank you for your video. I was wondering if a patient who has EoE and Candida esophagitis can be cured of EoE. That is, can treating Candida cure the EoE?
I'm honestly a bit surprised that it seems so hard to get a path residency spot in the US, especially while there's such a shortage of pathologists. In my home country, pathologists have to actively advocate among students to consider a career in pathology. Is pathology that much more popular in the US? Or does the US residency system not adjust the amount of available residency spots based on the (projected) demand for attending specialists?
Aw shucks, I missed the livestream by a hair
I am in year 9 and considering pathology as a career, can u please give me advice
Pathology is a medical specialty that does appeal to me. As well as Family Medicine.
Hi! I’m from Malaysia. Currently in my final year medical school, but starting to navigate which specialty suits me best. Being an introvert is the major reason for me choosing this field.
I eventually would like to run a lab a lead a research study with a 50/50 split between research and clinic. Would I be able to do this as a MD pathologist or would you suggest getting a Md/PhD?
Im very conviced about Pathology 🫰🏼
It's easy when the changes are overt. It's much harder when the changes are mild and bordering what is normal. I have a lot of trouble with those.
I’m very interested in oncology pathology but am concerned that I will miss patient contact. Are there any opportunities to interact with patients in this subspecialty?
Wow that was great, I agree 100% on everything you said
Very helpful 😘
Hey 👋🏽 I was wondering if you could give me some insight on this. What do pathologists with md/phds usually get their phd in?
i remember my prof/mentor telling me that she took path because she could pick her time, as in she would go to karate in morning and start in evening till midnight. She knew someone who did like to finish in morning and would start at 4 am and go till 11ish. Basically they were saying that they have to work but they can choose their time as they wanted after training.
You are such a great teacher! You make it very interesting and easy to follow along.
Applying pathology this next cycle, but feel like I'm not qualified or haven't had enough exposure or experience in pathology - kind of contradictory ("why would you go into something you haven't had much exposure in?", I was allowed only 2 weeks of path my 3rd year). I know some basic histology and obviously pathophysiology of some major diseases - but how did you/would you navigate this huge gap (the learning curve you speak of) as a 4th year trying to secure a AP/CP residency spot? Is there a book or concept I should be studying heavily? Thanks
These videos are so great! 👏🏽
i'm a PGY1 pathology resident! this was great, thank you!
Watching this now,thank-you
First year path resident here, thank you so much for these. I've been looking for easy to digest histology videos to help familiarize myself under the scope and these have been so great. Please please make more for each organ system.

Wonderful teaching. Thank you
Please do more
Hello, I'm a Non-US IMG and considering applying for Pathology in the US. I've read it has become more competitive over there. Is it still IMG friendly?
Hey, did you find any answer for that? I am also considering pathology
Yes it is. A good chunk of pathology residency spots are filled by IMGs. It will be very difficult to get into the very top tier programs.
Hi Dr.Cindy Wang. Excited and waiting for the 7k live...
Thanks. 7k live will be coming in next few weeks.
3:00 It's ok that's the closest I get to become Batman lol :-)
Hi, My colonoscopy and endoscopy report mentioned a 3mm polyp found at Sigmoid and removed. However, the pathology report does NOT mention 3MM but says Polyp at Sigmoid polyp x1 "SCO 3 fragments of tissue measuring 0.1 to 0.3 cm EIT.". I don't understand how a 3MM could be fragmented into 3 pieces ranging 1 to 3 mm! I mean if one fragment is 1 mm and another 2mm and another 3mm, that'll be 6MM! I am scared to death as it makes me feel like What if my sample was switched with someone else's? what if I the pathology mistakenly diagnosed my polyp Hyperplastic while it was adenoma? That NUMBER changes has caused nightmare for me and I just DON'T want to have all these procedures done again now!!! Is this changes in size normal?
thanks you so much !!!!!!!!! your explanation is very clear and helps me a lot!
Hi Dr thank you so much for the information. I did my undergrad already and am interested in pathology. Do I have to take MBBS to become a pathologist or BMLS?
You will need MBBS to practice clinical pathology (ie. signing out patient cases).
