Dancers to a discordant system, Pravus, lethargica, rational Gaze just to name a few more to check out.
Hell yea! Thanks!
Future Breed Machine, Ritual, Demons name is surveillance all great as well
Lethargica has, probably, the nastiest breakdown of all time.
Wait till you hear Pravus Live Tokyo
@@PuppetMaster-Bladehe should do FBM LIVE BLOODSTOCK
This song fucking slaps, thanks for listening
This is how I relax. I just let it wash over me and it's my go-to song while playing Wordle. My happy place. Love this song.
The absolute Black Hole of metal. They simply crush everything in their wake. Every band that came out in their wake can still never come close tk what Meshuggah still pump out. They arent even a genre, they are simply Meshuggah.
this is how you make a dirt cheap music video!
No one does it like Meshuggah.
the mouth licking what you've bled. sane. two of the most underrated songs ive ever heard in my life
I remember watching this back in '98 and thinking it was one of the coolest video and song I've ever heard. To this day I still think so!
A favorite of mine!! ❤ BTW, these guys are over 50yo nowadays and they're still this tight and solid just like they were in '95! They're definitely amongst the G.O.A.T. in metal music - at least in my opinion.
This song just has that kind of groove your head can't resist following! It's insane that this album came out in 1998.
The drum playthrough of "Clockworks" really shows how much of a monster Tomas is on the kit. It's like every limb is playing a different pattern independently of one another, and he makes it look effortless.
Producer: "Ok, I give you 2$ budget for the clip"
Meshuggah: "Challenge accepted"
Future Breed Machine, Marrow, Born in Dissonance, Perpetual Black Second, and Lethargica are some of my favorites from Meshuggah that I highly recommend.
Love Meshuggah, they are workhorse metal to me! I listen to them a lot when I'm doing work or driving and time just flies by. Great video and reaction man. Stay Metal! 🤘🤘
You just have to watch your speed. lol
@@maureenwagg5305 lol, so true!
Meshuggah! One of my favorite bands of all time! This was actually the first song I ever heard from these guys and as confused as I was, I fell in love.
"Are they just gonna air guitar the whole time"? YES! And... air bass, air drum and sing with a pen as a microphone. HAHAHA
The drummers right hand is often where you can find your headbang with meshuggah. As crazy as the bands rhythms are, he often keeps a 4/4 count going underneath it all.
Throw a dart and you'll find a banger with these guys.
Also - between the buried and me 😉
This is the greatest music video in history rivalled only by Devin Townsend's Animals.
Seriously though, love the fact they're miming properly. Haake especially, it shows how musicians can visualise their instruments. I practiced drums like this for years before I owned a kit. Knowing where everything is, and what it sounds like, once you get behind an actual kit there's only a small transition stage (getting used to the rebound etc. Stick rebound on cymbals is totally different to toms for example.)
Banger of a song too. Meshuggah is a zone.
Don't sync, don't count, just relax, vibe. It's a Zen thing.
Imagine if they added this to their 2025 set (if still touring hopefully)outta nowhere, I would be jumping for joy
Sickest final riff in a song EVER.
Future Breed Machine is a MUST, probably their best song to date
You just cannot not headbang to this. It's impossible! ^^
One of the best videos ever made
one in a billion talents right here.
When you are already proven as a tech death band. You can just have fun.
More meshuggah, you should do Sane next, or Clockworks drum cam with tomas haake
Fantastic song, glad you enjoyed it. Next, you have to check out Dancers to a Discordant System. It’s their best song in my opinion, and definitely in my top three songs of all time, period.
Headbang from start to the end, this is the song that makes me discover and love Meshuggah.
At 4:40, oh my... It sounds so massive and brutal, I was like you: jaw dropped!
They're so tight, even their sunglasses don't fall of.
For suggestions: basically every song mentioned here in the comments but a real good one is the Bloodstock live concert from last summer. Video and audio quality is insane (especially for TH-cam) Jens sounding the same as 30 years ago, he's 57 now.
My love for the shug is built on this very song
That outro is as filthy as they come!
The only heavier headbangers are propably Demiurge and Ligature Marks, definitely should check them out!
Hell yeah! 🖤 Loved the air instruments! 😄 And that pen-microphone. Haha. So fun, so powerful.
Loved your headbanging sync. 🤘
Stay metal! 🖤
I remember 1 time I heard, i rembember that i star to laugh in disbelieve How diagunsting that final breakdown hits. Suffer in thruth next?
SHUGGAH = God Mode music
My favourite vocals from Jens on this album. There was a particular gnash to it, still going at 67 but with rounded edges. Full credit to that guy for his valuable work.
They’ll always be my favourite band, necessary like air.
Great video, thanks.
Edit - this is Reflections, a song called Noir, it’s unreal.

Yea dude I really enjoyed this!
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody sweet!
✌🏼
You gotta put "Bleed" on the journey list.
Oh, its coming lol
Fond memories of when I heard this one for the first time. Was prolly the bane of everyone else in that Best Buy parking lot, but it's a song that demanded volume. 1998 was a shit year, but the metal was pretty good. Chaosphere is *not* a CD I regret purchasing.
Not that I've ever regretted purchasing a Meshuggah album, lol.
Man you're in for a wild ride... Starting with I was ballsy to say the least, but it seems that it will be fucking rewarding!
Loved Chaosphere, awesome album.
I just started listening to Meshuggah a couple of months ago, and I have no idea why I slept on them for so long
Or maybe Straws pulled at random, you could do the live version, either from the Alive dvd, or from Bloodstock, 2023
I usually use the cymbals to find the groove with these guys.
I got one for you:
Imperial Triumphant-Merkurius Gilded (ft. Kenny G) Yes. You read that right.
The music, as always with this band, is really good. The vocals, also as usual, are strong. The video was a bit lazy, lol, but they got some laughs out of it.
You gotta see the live version of it, it's even better!
@@CarolMarianaa I'll check it out for sure.
I don't see this said in the comments so here it is:
The story goes that meshuggahs label(nuclear blast at the time, I think) called them in the middle of their tour and he gave them a deadline, for a music video, that they couldn't meet because the tour was too long. So they picked up a handheld camcorder and recorded this. They made multiple passes through the song because they only had one camera.
Great ingenuity, on their part. If it was done today, the video would have probably been interspersed with drone shots of their tour bus rolling down the highway.
Greetings from Sweden 😊😊😊😊
SICKENING next
Too think all those years you spent as a metal elitist. You could have and should have been there with me/us the whole time. I got to meet Meshuggah back in 2001 at the then Hollywood Palladium. I'm so happy for your growth my friend. I suggest checking out their song "Demiurge".
The album is Chaosphere. I double dare you to try, and make it through the ending track, Elastic, without freaking out lol. Trust me, once you hear it you’ll realize what I’m talking about😉
never heard the early meshuggah but damn does the vocalist sound like wayne static
Song is absolute awesome, video made it better.
You should react to Meshuggah - Bleed - Tomas Haake (Live Drum Cam).
HOLY SHIT LETS GO
Anyone else remember downloading the video off of Kazaa kilobyte by kilobyte back in the day in all its 4:3 glory? \m/ (>_
Rational Gaze from Bloodstock festival. Pure evil.
This album is when they started moving away from their thrash roots, and started getting super dark/weird. All their solos sound like a computer malfunctioning lol😄 This came out in 98, so you gotta realize these guys were way ahead of their time. Even Kirk Hammet of Metallica said, there’s before Meshuggah, and there’s after, cuz they changed the game with their sound dude.
If you like that video, watch the Clockworks Thomas Haake drum cam.
Please react to Frontierer. Check out the songs Bunsen, Heirloom or Delorian Trails 🤘
Nice slammer! I recommend Meschera- Жатва (darkfolk, atmosphericblackmetal) : th-cam.com/video/AW-0Ajoi1rs/w-d-xo.html
