    Dudes.
    Man
I search for Meshuggah reactions pretty damn often.
I dont know, theyve been my favorite music since I cant remember when and they've always done that 'pattern matching thing', as you put it.
Thats the reason i want to see people react to it; to notice that main element and discuss it as much as possible.
So, thanks for that little delve at the outro there. You guys are by far the most entertaining Meshuggah reactors out here.
Im here for all of them, sirs! \m/ \m/

Thank you so very much! We love musical pattern matching and there's nobody doing it quite as expressively as Meshuggah!

7:01 This track is incredibly relistenable. So fun to air drum that section with the steady cymbals and the snare going 1/2/1/3 and eventually lining up with the cymbals. Then it drops you into some of the most disgusting riffs of all time immediately after. Such a great song.

You're absolutely right, this track is fucking addictive, one way or another I always come back to it, same with "Blackwater Park", not the album but the title track.

yeah the rhythmic patterns are such a drug! The disgust is real and we love it! / George

this part took me months to finally understand. It's so simple, but the cymbals against the 1/2/1/3 makes it seem so complex...

Hey guys, I really like your reactions, you always make me laugh. 😄 Do you know the Canadian melodeath band Atavistia? I think this would be right up your alley. I recommend their song Cosmic Warfare.

Been a while since I commented but LOVE Meshuggah! Especially Chaosphere! While I am here, check out Alterbeast! The song Apex Night Eclipse is amazing!

@@thewindmillfullovcorpses They are indeed! Been listening to them for years. They seem to be in between lineups currently but their past albums are great!

Many Meshuggah fans would say this is their best track and I wouldn’t argue with them but I’d just say Catch - 33 exists 👀

Aside from the vocals, this actually sounds a lot like Jinjer. Or maybe that's just me.

Other way around, Meshuggah been around since '89!

I'll agree the rhythmic feel and grooving is similar. But also Jinjer riffs aren't this mathematical!

    • @phydauex
      @phydauex 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Oy, Jinjer sounds like Meshuggah. Twenty years before, but I get your point. This was so ahead of its time.
