BLOWNQ - Blown 'n' Injected Monaro

  • Andrew Damien's Monaro was a tidy unit before. It was white with a blown, carbied small block. But he's gone all out with the latest rebuild, which has seen the aussie classic copping a cage, tubs, and a 410 cube meth injected Chevy. He doesn't mind whipping it around the pad either.

    The difference in small and big block engines isn't decided by cubic capacity but by deck height. Small block Chevs are much smaller in physical size than big blocks but they can be taken out to 434 cubes using stroker kits. Big blocks can be taken out much further (more room inside block for longer stroke crank to swing) to around 540 cubes, and then they make aftermarket tall deck blocks that can go out to 632 cubes and beyound.

    Its basically the actual size of the block. A small block 410 means the cylinders are closer together, while a big block would mean further apart. That is why most blocks over 400 are big blocks, because it could cause overheating problems if it is a small block.

    Incredible car, only thing I'd change is the twin headlight front to a single, then again it's probably impossible to find a good one..

    I believe a big block is also determined by the difference in deck height, something like 10" and more it's then classed as a big block but I could be wrong.

    I want to import one of these vehicles into my country and then redo the dash and setup for it being on the left hand side of the vehicle.

    • @blownhemi

      A Monaro would be interesting the US, you could use Camaro gear to convert it

    • @paxhumana2015
      @paxhumana2015 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ScottysGarage, I personally think that Nova/Vega (South America/Latin America/Europe) set of gear would be a better fit for conversion into a Holden Monaro as the Holden Monaro, Chevrolet Nova/Vega (SA/LA/E), Buick Apollo, Pontiac Ventura, Pontiac Phoenix, Buick Skylark, Oldsmobile Omega, and one other more obscure Oldsmobile model that I can not think of right off of the top of my head would be better fits for a conversion kit for a Holden Monaro as all of those vehicles essentially share the same body frame together.
