    Loved the quarter turn screws on mine! They should be on every bike made!

      Agreed! They stay on, don’t get loose. And super simple to take off when needed

    hello, how many liters of oil go into the 2000 yamaha r1?thanks mate! Have a good day

    • @ctadrenaline
      @ctadrenaline  ปีที่แล้ว

      2.84 liters with oil filter change then then add accordingly to the site glass. Go slow when adding and wait a minute or two after pouring in a little bit to make sure not to overfill

    What year is the r1 ? How much oil and coolant does it hold ?

    • @ctadrenaline
      @ctadrenaline  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@James-kd8bb in that video it was a 2000 (5jj model) but will be the same for 98-01 (4xv and 5jj models ) 2002/2003 (5pw) is basically the same with different fairings. Oil depends on if you’re doing a filter change or not. Just get a gallon of oil so you won’t ’t be short. I suggest amsoil metric 10/40 full synthetic. As for coolant it’s around 3 liters

      @ctadrenaline hey buddy, thanks for getting back to me. I love your video how u show people what to do for a oil change I have a yamaha r1 1999 and I am going to be changing the oil I have 3 litters of oil and 3 litters of coolant and a new oil filter it's my 1st time doing all this on a big bike before I got my r1 I was on a yzfr125 for 6 years so it's a big difference in oil and coolant yzfr125 only had one bottle of oil and coolant so I will have a north oil and coolant ? Bit of a noob question

      @ all good and congrats on the bike. I would probably get another liter of oil since you should change the oil filter as well when doing it. The bike needs to be straight up and down when checking the oil line in the site glass. It CAN NOT be on the kick stand or leaned over when checking the measurement. A lot people use stands to get it straight up and down. If you don’t have stands have someone hold the bike straight up and down. Tilting it to the left or right will mess up the measurement. Drain coolant from the bolt by the headers, flush with distilled water till it’s clear coming out, tighten bolt then refill with coolant. Keep cap off so air can get out, squeeze the lines a few times while it’s idling, install cap before riding. Don’t forget to fill half way the coolant reservoir on the throttle side

    Isn't your bike supposed to be on the kickstand when you check the level

    • @ctadrenaline
      @ctadrenaline  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely not. You will not get the correct reading. It is supposed to be straight up and down

    With oil the best for 1998 R1?

    • @ctadrenaline
      @ctadrenaline  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      In my opinion I would use amsoil 10/40 metric full synthetic motorcycle oil like shown in the video. That oil has made my engine less noisy. I personally change my oil every 3000 miles
