I own a 2001 R1 Champions Edition ..The speedo stops at 299 kilometers per hour but still pulls far past that. Gives a fella the old chicken skin up past 300kph 😮😮😮😮

I like to ride my bike and not have it ride me or help me ride it. If I fuck up that's my fault not the bikes. This spinner has more than enough to keep me entertained for a few hours a day. Just as well it has a ohlins damper cos I could smell trouble ahead haha, never needed one on the Zed
Exactly why I own a Harley. Went from an RD500lc to an FZR1000 genesis to a GSXR750J and got enough of the howling and wheelies before the R1. Mirrors that don't stay put are a distant memory.
@@ryanhall557everyone knows that carburetor bikes are faster, but you need flat slide carbs to unlock the power but they arnt for begginer riders the bike will have incredible throttle repsonce
I got the later 2003 injection. Heard that they tamed it down a bit from this carburettor model. No traction control, no abs, just monster bike. 🖤🤘

I used to own the R6 edition from 01 and it’s still easily my favorite bike I’ve ever owned and I own a 01 R1 at the moment
