The policy not to impeach and imprison a sitting president is just that, policy. It is not constitutional at all. The constitution clearly states that no one is above the law. There was no intent to give or support a king in this country.

The thing is, that's actually a fact for people speaking out against immigration. Whenever they talk about protesting immigration, just under the surface they protesting non-European immigration. I even heard a story from a friend who was invited to an anti-immigration rally and they told the people that they were an immigrant they basically assumed he was a legal immigrant because he was white. And as John Oliver stated very well in an episode of Last Week Tonight weeks ago, when people say they want legal immigration; they often don't realize what that means.

It's also good to keep in mind that this is all part of a 2-3 minute long conversation about what ukraine wants from the US and what trump wants from the ukraine in exchange.
yes, we must consider the entire context to understand teh gravity of grump's crime.
Reports say the phone call lasted 30 minutes. The summary only covers 10 minutes. Since it was created and released in an effort to exonerate Trump, we can assume they omitted all the most damning and incriminating parts. And yet it still is ironclad proof of a criminal act.
BTW, the whistleblower and several witnesses have said that there IS a verbatim transcript, which the White House has refused to release.

I have no idea why trump released that document, likely because he didn't bother to read it, relying instead on his memory that it was a "perfect call."

It was the whole package, really: I’ve watched a lot of ‘American Dad’ over the years- particularly the first 9 or 10 seasons, and have pretty much memorised most of the dialogue...because I’m a sad, sad man haha.
