Shea butter has shown great benefits for both skin and hair. Such plant-based moisturizers are known to be effective against eczema. Since the common cause of eczema is dry skin and shea butter aggressively addresses this issue, it can be of great help to relieve the symptoms of this condition. I suggest you try it in small amount. Shea butter can't be used by itself as an effective sunscreen. But using shea butter on your skin does give you some added sun protection, so layer it over your favorite sunscreen on days you'll be spending outside.
