Happy Thankgiving! Just in time for holiday travel, Colorado Springs got hit with nearly a foot of snow in under 12 hours. Near blizzard conditions have slammed the area causing the roads to be completely covered in most locations. Clip includes jackknifed semi, stuck cars, plows, and winter scenes.

Lived there in the 70s, a miserable place to live. Absolutely hated it.
Too many 4x4 drivers think their vehicle is more capable in snowy and/or icy weather. 4x4 helps you get going, and continue going, it does nothing for control or braking.
The drama....and I know people in Colorado had plenty of warning about the incoming snow storm.
I've been down there to go to the restrooms, that's about all I can do unfortunately, wouldn't mind checking out the shops and scenery, much prettier in the summer time though. I won't be taking my daughter to her appointments after this year, I'll miss our yearly drive. She'll be taking herself, or possibly moving to fort Collins when she Graduates.That makes me sad.😪😥😪

Public transit was shut down that day.
Every year it's the same old shit. Even though we have chain and traction laws there are idiots who continue to go out and drive on the roads without them when the conditions require chains or tires rated for snow or AWD or 4WD vehicles. Also, they just haven't grasped the concept of slowing down when driving on iced up roads. I cheer when I pass them off the side of the roads in a ditch because of their own stupidity.
