For me, instead of buying new, I would pick a slightly used Toyota Highlander with the 3.5L V6. Toyota's 3.5L V6 is very reliable, and I'm cautious of it's new turbo four.
But the Toyota Highlander is very expensive compared to others and the third row is even too small for our 5-year-old. Along with the entertainment system is even worse than Subaru...
Did you peek into my garage for your top pick? I’d have to agree. Yet, it’s nice to hear an expert’s perspective on the best of the planet, and what to avoid.Well done, thx.
The new 2024 Toyota 4Runner was pushed back because of the issues with the Grand Highlander and the engines problems they are plagued with at the moment .. The old ones are good but nobody is paying those high prices .. Just get a Pilot or Pathfinder ..
I bought a brand new 2022 Explorer, within 5k miles I had to get a new transmission and it had 5 recalls before owning it for 6 months. I got rid of it as fast as I could. I have a 2024 Jeep GC now and we love it. I’ve never had an issue with CJDR vehicles, I’ve heard horror stories but never had any issues
I bought a 2020 Explorer ST brand new, and other than the recalls, it's been dead reliable. Never left me stranded, and I drove it all over California with multiple trips to Vegas. I hit 50k miles in 4 years. I won't talk about the build quality, but as far as reliability goes, it's been almost 5 years since I've owned it, and the car runs like new. There are no issues with the engine or transmission. I'm guessing it has a 1 star reliability score ONLY because of all the recalls?
I have a 2019 Ford Explorer with only 44K miles. Its has been good over the past 5 years, but lately it has left us 4 times already. We are definitely looking for a better reliable suv.
I’ve only known one VW owner who ever bought a second one. They are always enticing, but the value proposition is destroyed by substandard reliability and niggling quality issues
I am on my second Jetta with no issues. Between my two Jettas, I have taken nine road trips from Florida to Illinois and the Carolinas to visit family. In addition, I have not been late or missed a day of work due to mechanical issues.
Picked up a 2020 Jeep GC Limited X in April and I'm glad I got what I did....after joining some Jeep GC groups I've been hearing nothing but complaints on the new models
I thought the Toyota Venza would be in the list. But since this is the last year (2024) of the vehicle being sold in the US, it may have not made the list.
The Porsche cayenne wasn’t on the list? It’s a hugely popular midsize suv and very reliable. It’s also the most fun to drive with Porsche handling systems and insane powertrains.
I test drove the Pilot and the CX-90. The Mazda was a better drive, but a family hauler it is NOT. There is barely any room for your kids many things. The lack of storage turned me off. I'm still waiting and watching. If Mazda can focus on storage solutions, it would easily surpass all other SUVs.
A big chunk of me wants to streeetttccchhh to get a Lexus RX or NX. And then I LOOK at them, and that HORRIBLE grill just swallowing the front end of the car brings the mind shattering ugly like one of Lovecraft's Elder Gods. Sigh. What's your take on the Mazda CX-50 and CX-5?
not one from the last generation, they all have faulty transmissions, my mom's MDX was in the shop more times than i can count on two hands in just the last year
To sum it up. Buy from japanese brands. Yes most are japanese car companies but made in north america but still way better quality than US based companies
Except the Japanese models are small and cramped for most Americans, and until recently Toyota had the worst entertainment systems in their vehicle - dreaded Entune. If you have a large family, you need a large SUV, you simply buy a large Chevy or Ford and get the extended warranty for peace of mind and move on.
I have a Mazda and a Honda. Honda has much better AC, much more comfortable seats and drives far better than Mazda. But both are excellent to own....Honda is just better however in almost every single aspect
Don't believe this guy. Hyundai/Kia Motor Group sells more cars than Honda Group. They used same power train. If they don't have reliablity, they can't sold more than Honda Group.

Maybe but its not a bad choice i would go for any of my 2 choices

Facts!
You should do a video on the Chevy Tahoe. History and dependability and cover used to new prices.

Didn’t know there were so many good ones. This makes my shopping easier👍
Which ones your favorite?! :)
It would be interesting to see you cover the Genesis GV70. Great video. Thanks

Yes! Mazda CX-90. I love mine. Great SUV.
How long have you had it? Looking into it but I hear they have such a complicated engine and have had many recalls
What do you think about the 2024 Audi Q5?
Picked up a 2020 Jeep GC Limited X in April and I'm glad I got what I did....after joining some Jeep GC groups I've been hearing nothing but complaints on the new models
What's your opinion of the new sequoia even though it's not budget friendly? New crv?
Why are there so many Rogues for sale?? The infamous Nissan CVT??
Mazda cx-90 is the best midsize suv from all. Craftsmanship, comfort, handling, and best in the segment.
I'm interested in buying a slightly used SUV, any suggestions??
Why Sorento vs Telluride? Great suv with good reliability & better comparison
fascinating list.

The only common sense people I know that own any Porsche have a lift in there garage.

What's your take on the Mazda CX-50 and CX-5?
Damn just bought a jeep grand Cherokee 😅
I have a 2017 Grand Cherokee Limited. I have driven it 120k miles and love mine. It is my 3rd one. I usually drive them 250k miles plus.
it's amazing how far Mazda has gone. and even if they're owned by Ford, they're still rocking hard
Ford sold off their stake in Mazda following the 2008 crash as part of their successful effort to stave off bankruptcy.
Ford sold most of its shares in mazda. Ford and mazda two entirely different companies
have bought 9 Mazdas over the years (still own 2) and have found them extremely reliable and cheap to keep.

BMW X3 2024 and 2025 please.
I’d take an MDX over anything mentioned in this video.
not one from the last generation, they all have faulty transmissions, my mom's MDX was in the shop more times than i can count on two hands in just the last year
well, that's just the way it is.

@wazatna yea my coworker is a bit chubby and was a tight fit for my mazda
@@jonboll2066 I'm 180 5'10" and feel cramped in most foreign models. Mazda makes great vehicles, just marketed too small for American market.
Ford explorer 2025 and Maverick 2025 please.
Some Toyota and Lexus drivers and fans will be mad that Bmw X5 40i is reliable 🤣🤣🤣
I hope you read what I wrote you.
Looks like he should test PlayStations instead of cars.
Nissan suvs!
Who will choose Mazda x90 over Honda Pilot?
I have a Mazda and a Honda.
