- This is a TAS for Kirby Super Star where Kirby and Helper have 5x horizontal speed. This is a full 100% speedrun.
This TAS isn't very optimized in many areas, and granted I feel like this TAS wouldn't have been as much fun to make if I was very strict with optimizing everything. So this was purely for the fun of it. You are free to call out things I should've done otherwise, but I am probably never doing this again (lol).
Oh yeah this TAS also uses Up+Down / Left+Right glitches cuz why not.
This TAS was inspired by the New Super Mario Bros. TASes by RiazorMC (Sorry I ripped off your thumbnail).
How I get 5x speed:
It's honestly pretty easy to do. All you need to do is freeze RAM address 14C8 in CartRAM (14CA for Helper), and keep the value set to 5. These values are quite literally a speed multiplier and are used when Kirby obtains an Invincibility Candy. So we can abuse this RAM address to do things that weren't intended :)
If I end up making a ROM patch for this I'll link it here. I know someone out there is going to want to run this RTA.

As someone who grew up with Super Star Ultra, hearing the generic boss music on Dyna Blade, Wham Bam Rock, and Heavy Lobster is slightly cursed.
On the other hand, I think I much prefer this version of the Galactic Nova music. The heavier, more bassy sounds feel like a much better fit. (Though given the limitations of the DS speakers, I suppose the arrangers were in a bit of a tight spot there.)

can't tell if the wall clipping stuff is a speed cheat thing or an up+down thing
edit: from looking at the input display, it seems like most of the upwarp/downwarp stuff is an up+down thing
