45:12 -- this part is so funny to me, banjo breaks the sound barrier with a minecart, then there's 10,000,000,000 years of unaltered footage of a bird trying to catch up
"That's weird, why skip all this stuff early game? What are they rushing towards?" "Ah, clockwork eggs. That checks out" Great and entertaining TAS. Here's an algorithm boosting comment.
Stoked someone finally had enough patience to TAS this unfriendly-emulated game. Not only did I not know how broken boulder hit boxes were, but also how crazy the range of motion is on certain moves. Canary Mary was too satisfying to watch. Also, I wasn't expecting 1/3 or so of the Jiggies to be collected by means of Quickscoping Clock Work eggs lol. Having said that, this has been one of the most enjoyable TASes I've seen in years. Kudos!
@@seifeir6951 I get what you mean. The use of the eggs alone is satisfying, but then using them to clip through walls and quick warp to doors/exits is insane.
I’ve honestly been waiting to see a TAS of Tooie for a long time. It’s such a beast of a game to route I’d imagine. Seeing it done and done to 100% makes me smile. Well done RingRush and company.
very cool. I'd love to see a live commentary version of this some time, like other projects which started as LOTADs have. But if that's not possible, its fine. Very cool stuff.
I forgot how absolutely busted Clockwork Kazooie Eggs were... Edit: It's no wonder the route rushes for them once they have everything easy to grab in the first 3 worlds just to exit to Terrydactyland and leaving ASAP just to get them.
From what I gather, the route seems to be going through each world and getting all of the moves, which are required to 100% every world. After getting every move, they go back to get the rest of the collectibles. (Funny how Cloud Cuckoo Land is the only world we can't glitch into.)
I think you can glitch into it - but that glitch is better used at skipping Tower of Tragedy. Since the way this works (warping via a cutscene) should be possible to go to CCL as well. Basically, one would need to find another warp glitch, because both are extremely long scenes, either finishing all the puzzles or playing the game in Tower of Tragedy
It really in incredible how Rare managed to make these wonderful games on something like the Nintendo 64. I really hope one day that they actually give us a proper "Threeie"...
@@FrahdChikun I think the worlds were way too big, and the thing of making them bigger should have just been new smaller instanced areas, with 1 or 2 levels that did get bigger overall.
