I was adopted by a black man, raised by a black community. Went to a predominantly black school. This is ALWAYS incredible to witness something like this.
This is beautiful to see, but I am interested about how it is received in society. For some reason, it's perceived as normal for a white couple to adopt a black child. I have to admit I was unaware that the reverse happens because it's not something you see. I am not trying to be ignorant, and we should be able to rise above color. Unfortunately, this world is still infected by racism. Sad. A new millennium and some of mankind has not evolved above its base feelings.

Or when our dad refuses to listen when the kids say the dog needs everyone to help care for him. Yes they pay the bills on the house and dog but both should have the entire fam involved.
To know the officer in this video personally and having had the privilege to work alongside him, I am beyond proud of this family. He’s very dedicated to his family in every aspect
I can tell you is. I’ve never known him to be a smiley person working in law enforcement you tend to hide a lot of emotions from showing in your facial expressions ( telling you from person experience ) but I know for a fact he was beyond happy

The dad is looking at everything his son does. He looks like a nervous father that is waiting for his son to arrive from the hospital. So touching. This lil boy now have a loving family and will hopefully be healthy and happy.
@Jordan Spenca at our adoption day, it was us, anyone that came with us, their DFCS workers, our lawyer, the guardian ad litem, the states attorney, the judge and our kiddos. The kids had to sign the paperwork, too!
I'm adopted and was raised by such a wonderful family! I know we were meant to be together. My biological mom was only 15 and unprepared to raise a child. This was a typical closed adoption back in the '70s. I wish somehow I could tell her that she made the right decision and that I had a fantastic childhood!
I wish you could too. I bet that would take a big weight off her shoulders that has been there for many years. I’ve been through this and I would have loved to hear that from my baby after she was grown up.

She was a very nice lady and I am very greatful to her for giving me a safe home and taking care of me and taking me to church and teaching me more about God. This is amazing. My friend was adopted and when I asked what it was like, she answered "The best. Mama always told me she could've had bio kids, but she knew I was out there just waiting for her." I've never forgotten those words.

I grew up in a family were we have, black, white, red skin color, it never matters, it never seems any difference between us, we never have problems, I never realized that we have so many mix colors until I came to USA and some people make a lot of issues about it. Right. There was a video on TikTok where this white guy who adopted a black girl was met with hate and even some would argue racism. Because a black waitress came up, asked her where her real daddy was, and proceeded to ask the white father what he could teach the black girl about her culture and how to be black. People like that have a hidden problem. Instead of the waitress just minding her own business, and smiling at a happy family, she had to open her mouth and upset the family and be mean at the very least.

I love this. I'm hoping no one ever bullies him for being part of an interracial family. I know it's kind of outdated thinking but parents teach kids to be cruel. Both my brother and my daughter are both married to folks of color. All of our family, we don't see a difference and love them dearly. They couldn't have chosen better partners. As a matter of fact my brother who was 46 at the time, hadn't ever been married or discovered true love until he met his beautiful wife. She is my hero and the love of my brother's life 💘

I just mean, how do you then go about having any contact with the biological mums and dads?? Is it a choice thing? (I've heard of open at options before, yes..). Also, how does this all affect the child being adopted? What are the circumstances under which this adoptions was necessary, you know, like I just wonder what happens with the mother, etc. I guess I just have alot of questions, not specifically this case, but in general. And last but not least, I wish this family all the very best that life has to offer this gorgeous young man, and his new family! Bless you all!!
You can research open and closed adoption to find answers to the questions you have. If you want details about personal circumstances, they aren't anyone's but the child's to share, if and when they choose to. You did not ask only general questions you asked "about this mother" specifically and that's invasive and in bad taste.
Mine was closed so the family who adopted me never knew my birth parents. However after both of them passed I went on ancestry.com and thruDNA tracked down my 2nd cousin who led me to my birth mother. Now we are building a relationship and I am so grateful she gave me the life I had by being selfless and wanting me to have a decent life she couldn't provide for me when she was only 17.
It depends from person to person. Sometimes they become curious about their original family sometimes they don't. Real issues for an adopted small child never come from the original family but only from adopting family , the new family have to bei capable to build a strong relation and have a strong dialogue skills. Adopted Kids need more attention from that side, because they're very sensitive.
They met the biological father on a kelly Clarkson show. Its on youtube. But like all things there are your biological parents and then your Mum and Dad. Who puts a plaster on your knee and wipes your snotty nose. Who are there for the highs and lows. His parents have said they are happy for his biological parents to stay in contact.
This isn't a white boy being adopted by a black women. This is an innocent soul being adopted by a generous women.

Especially by stating something so obvious.
If been asked in all seriousness by people how I got there (when teens), like physically, I was born here.
But they meant like how since Africa obviously doesn't have planes or electricity (!), I often replied sarcastically that I swam over.
Some actually believed it and some were suspicious.
Did they meant to be offensive or bad ? No.
Was it ignorant and racist regardless ? Yes.
Because they were acting like I was some different (human) species not just half another ethnicity.
Like I was in zoo but I was in the cage. You know amazed at the clever monkey who knows so many tricks. Ofc it's often much more subtle.
That's what discrimination is and feels like.
Having a bias and treating other DIFFERENTLY because of (insert trait).

I grew up in a family were we have, black, white, red skin color, it never matters, it never seems any difference between us, we never have problems, I never realized that we have so many mix colors until I came to USA and some people make a lot of issues about it. Right. There was a video on TikTok where this white guy who adopted a black girl was met with hate and even some would argue racism. Because a black waitress came up, asked her where her real daddy was, and proceeded to ask the white father what he could teach the black girl about her culture and how to be black.
People like that have a hidden problem. Instead of the waitress just minding her own business, and smiling at a happy family, she had to open her mouth and upset the family and be mean at the very least.

I love this. I'm hoping no one ever bullies him for being part of an interracial family. I know it's kind of outdated thinking but parents teach kids to be cruel. Both my brother and my daughter are both married to folks of color. All of our family, we don't see a difference and love them dearly. They couldn't have chosen better partners. As a matter of fact my brother who was 46 at the time, hadn't ever been married or discovered true love until he met his beautiful wife. She is my hero and the love of my brother's life 💘

Congratulations!! I just have a kinda difficult time with understanding of how all the internal dialogues work.... I just mean, how do you then go about having any contact with the biological mums and dads?? Is it a choice thing? (I've heard of open at options before, yes..). Also, how does this all affect the child being adopted? What are the circumstances under which this adoptions was necessary, you know, like I just wonder what happens with the mother, etc. I guess I just have alot of questions, not specifically this case, but in general.
And last but not least, I wish this family all the very best that life has to offer this gorgeous young man, and his new family!

You can research open and closed adoption to find answers to the questions you have. If you want details about personal circumstances, they aren't anyone's but the child's to share, if and when they choose to. You did not ask only general questions you asked "about this mother" specifically and that's invasive and in bad taste.
Mine was closed so the family who adopted me never knew my birth parents. However after both of them passed I went on ancestry.com and thruDNA tracked down my 2nd cousin who led me to my birth mother. Now we are building a relationship and I am so grateful she gave me the life I had by being selfless and wanting me to have a decent life she couldn't provide for me when she was only 17.
It depends from person to person. Sometimes they become curious about their original family sometimes they don't. Real issues for an adopted small child never come from the original family but only from adopting family , the new family have to bei capable to build a strong relation and have a strong dialogue skills. Adopted Kids need more attention from that side, because they're very sensitive.
They met the biological father on a kelly Clarkson show. Its on youtube.
But like all things there are your biological parents and then your Mum and Dad. Who puts a plaster on your knee and wipes your snotty nose. Who are there for the highs and lows. His parents have said they are happy for his biological parents to stay in contact.
