Kids above one year are old enough to be aware that things are drastically changing but don't understand what's exactly happening. Especially if they are intelligent and sensitive (like this girl) that can be very scary for them and crying is then unavoidable. I'm afraid it's part of the adoption process but once they feel secure and comfortable they will quickly adapt to the new situation.

Then daddy was all traumatized cause she was crying, so much love. I am so glad this baby girl was lucky enough to be adopted into a loving family. Makes me think of all the others that never do.
I will never unverstand...Why can't the adoption parents stay inside the orphanage for a few days for knowing eachother...for the children they are strangers. This is very traumatizing and can influence the whole childs life.😢

I have seen more recent videos of Scarlett and she seems to be doing great but these nannies make it so much harder. She kept walking away. When the parents had their hands out she would just sit there. I think the director had to say ok give her to them already. 5 mins, 20 mins an hour it is inevitable there will be a hard adjustment.
Handing kids over to strangers like this is disgusting. You should not be allowed to adopt until you have known this child at least a month. Disgraceful carry on by all concerned.

I finally took the guts to watch the very first video of how Meimei come about into your beautiful family. She was grieving a lot but I can tell you guys are totally sincere because look at how far she's come. Her personality now is so big and silly! I feel so thankful just from watching this and I can't even fathom how YOU guys would feel every time you recall the first time she met you. I'm so happy you found each other, match made in heaven! I'm so touched to see how involved the Daddy is. It's a nice sight to see.
My heart just broke into a million pieces when I saw this little girl's reluctant introduction to her new mother and father. I can't imagine what must have been going through their mind when their new little girl denied them initially. But what a thrill for them when she fell asleep in their arms! They're going to be good parents, and Scarlett is just as lucky. I wish them all the very best in their new life together as a family!

Her name fits her so well. She's magical. Easily one of the prettiest little girls I've ever seen and that smile at the end … that was worth waiting for. I believe those little hands of hers will change lives one day. Thank you for bringing your daughter home. I know how grueling and frustrating and hard on the heart it is to wait wait and … oh yes … keep waiting. We too have taken this journey more than once and I was a China born adoptee myself many moons ago. If I could offer you one bit of advice … please give her roots that grow deep into your family tree and wings to take the long journey back one day to see where she came from. Encourage her always to continue the trend of adoption when she is ready one day. If we grow that desire in others, less children will sleep in loneliness. God bless you, little one.
I'm 67 I swear I'm not going to watch any more adoption videos any more. It makes me cry. Because it makes me sad that they are orphans and happy because there are so many wonderful and loving people who give these children love affection and a chance to live a normal family life. Her real mom is the one who feed her, takes care of her, love her and is there for her everyday. Someone birthed this girl, but she met her real mom at age of 2.

I'm sry but treating adopting children as a bucket list seems weird..weird that it's seen as something fancy, rather than saving ppl souls... just thoughts..
@@LiSa-fc5sp this Person is most likely a young kid as they said when they grow up And what's most important thing is that more people are wanting to adopt a child or more witch is amazing I want children Weather they are adopted or not they are my kids and I will love them all the same just like any parent should.

I watched this video several times..each time with tears rolling down my cheeks..could it be the song? ..I just realized today (5hours to settle down?)..that by crying this little Angel was receiving what she craved from her time of birth..to be lovingly held, hugged, rocked, lovingly sang to without being ignored, nor scolded ..she craved the most basic of human needs without judgement..T.Y. Char Williams of course she doesnt. she's been raised in a Chinese orphanage. These kids don't even know there being adopted until the nanny says " mama" " baba". that's the first the have a clue

The parents can always guide n teach her n send her to school i believe they do give great love to her..children learn very fast..im a chinese in malaysia we speak English & cantonese at home..my 2 girls had english edu +mandarin language they do well now ..
