wishin for a disabled child is disturbing. I never prayed for a disabled child and always planned to adopt. She almost seemed sad that her child did not have down syndrome. There is nothing wrong with people with disabiliites but to wish that on your own child is sad

@@cathy2earth Hmmmm, I think your view of things may be quite different than hers. Not every human who has a special child is fully equipped to care for their special love. However, some humans are more equipped to handle the unique challenges that others struggle to navigate. I think she was eager and willing to have the opportunity to have those types of children and to provide her special ability to cope and love them unconditionally. I am almost certain some of this stems from growing up with Mary Beth and seeing how cruel and insensitive "normal" people can be to those with different needs. I can't even imagine what that is like today with the unidentified faceless keyboard warriors who make uncalled for, crass, and quite honestly unintelligent comments about people for any reason. I'd be willing to bet that her naturally born child would have wonderful things to say about her as well and likely wouldn't wish for a "normal" family for anything. I'm pretty confident that their whole tribe thinks that they are one of the most normal families around and that is amazing!

@@GarbageMan2025 i have a severely disabled child and his life is not easy. My son is my love of life though. My channel has many videos of him. My son does ABA, PRT, in home speech, in home feeding therapy, in home OT, in home urgent response services, conductive education at March of Dimes and music therapy. For rec my son does Challenger Baseball, special Olympics soccer, adaptive rock climbing and adaptive dance. His therapy and rec alone cost 11000/m not to mention his school is 85000/yr called New Haven. My channel has all about me. I ddont wish my sons strugles on any child. It has been my honour to know my friend's Down Syndrome brother. He was the much wanted son after three daughters. His mother was advised to put him in a home. Instead, his family have adored him daily, travelled with him, partied with him, and encouraged his amazing art skills. Tomorrow, he turns 60, surrounded by his extended family of 50 plus, including nephews, nieces, grand nephews, and nieces, his three sisters having organised a huge celebration He is a savant, remembering everyone's birthday or anniversary. What a blessing he is. All children are precious.

My husband and I were "gifted" a beautiful baby daughter in 1989 who happened to have Down syndrome. Amy has enriched our lives, she has given us an understanding of what God's love is for us: unconditional. Amy and her friends love each other unconditionally. Wow. That is so amazing. So many of our friends and their families love "with conditions." Amy doesn't like loud noises, changes (as in power outages, thunder, fireworks, etc.) BUT she LOVES her friends and family with no strings attached. She is a beautiful GIFT from God. Amy loves her brother, sister-in-law and her nephew. We are blessed!!!

What a beautiful family!! I was fortunate to work with developmentally disabled adults at a day center 20 years ago. It was hands down the most fulfilling job I have ever had and count it as one of the best experiences I have been blessed to have. So much love and fun and all of the clients we had were just shining lights! Thank you for sharing! All your boys are wonderful!!

I worked with young adults with Downs Syndrome many years ago (teaching independent living skills and getting them jobs in the community), and am convinced that they are role models for the rest of us on joyful living and unconditional love. I also learned that they would do anything for me when it was politely requested, but they could be very stubborn if I was trying to force something.... Another great lesson for me!

It’s beyond me to comprehend that anybody anybody would put down a down syndrome child they are so precious. They are so giving they are so loving and I have a member of my family who has a down syndrome brother and one day on a visit we were chatting back-and-forth for hours and he came up to me. He goes. Thank you for talking to me because nobody in my family talks to me. It broke my heart!! I make it a point to always extend myself to any child born with any disability because they belong on this earth like everybody else and when I hear of people putting down children, such as these beautiful boys it just beyond me to comprehend ‘’why why would they ever ever make such comments” life is a gift and everybody deserves to be here. Love changes everything.

I love this family, how lucky you all are! My Uncle Joe lived with us when my grandparents passed. Six kids ,13 Neice’s and nephews ,tons of friends ,we are all better people because of him. He was so funny his sense of humor like my Moms. I miss them both everyday , I only wish my kids met him. He was popular in our town everyone knew and loved him . He did have a tiny bit of racism when he moved in but that quickly and completely disappeared when he joined our family. He was abused at his high school boarding school by someone of color ,punished by being locked in a closet he was 35 at his graduation (sharing in general Down’s syndrome kids are born like everyone else and taught to be racist your family learned from you to be accepting and tolerant )Thank you

People with down syndrome are a blessing sent by God honestly, I totally understand why this woman was wishing to have a child with down syndrome because I’m sure it teaches you a lot, and it probably really shows you how to live life to its fullest and find joy in everything. People with down syndrome are unapologetically themselves, and I think a lot of people can learn from that.

He hasn't had the opportunity to know and be loved by someone like your boys. I grew up with my dear friend Jori who has Down Syndrome and every moment spent with her was filled with laughter and joy. Yes, they have a disability, but their ability to love and brighten the lives around them far outweighs their challenges. I get it. I would be overjoyed as well. I would’ve loved to hear how her son Cody felt about everything. I feel it was odd that we didn’t get to hear from him nor her husband. Why weren’t they included in this? I think she is a good woman for taking them in, but I have questions since they didn’t take part. I just hope her son Cody didn’t feel replaced and that she husband doesn’t feel that way either and it just as passionate..and the fact they didn’t participate does make me wonder. I also hear they are on social media. I don’t think children should be exploited on social media, nor do I think adult children with disabilities should be. So ai hope that isn’t happening. Idk what her social media is or if she is doing that, so I am not claiming that is what she does..just saying I hope it isn’t.
