Today We install the famous rolls Royce starlight headliner mod onto my brothers Mitsubishi evolution. This mod is taking the Internet by storm and is a super clean easy installation anyone can do! It adds some spice to the interior And just overall is a pretty cool and simple mod that makes a big difference. We’ve done this in the past before but I wanted to make a video explaining some tips and tricks anyone can do to make this installation process a little bit easier if you ever wanted to do it!

Use rit dry for head liner instead of paint and it still feel like factory liner or just use a suede fabric and spray adhesive but looks good 👍

Three days attempting to get my headliner out..not much time left before I have to leave here so after all my failed attempts including adhesive another liner up I am scraping off rest of splotchy foam n painting it n DONE..but I love this star light..maybe I'll just get glow in the dark stars..can't do headliner alone esp if you're older n disabled but I live in my van so I'm really trying to keep it nice inside cuz the outside is shite thanks to deer n rust..
For the short fiber optics all the extra you cut off you could of just added back into the group and made more than just the original amount

Seeing that box with the heat sink on it makes me wonder how safe it is having it contained in a tight area with all that insulation around it
Yeah, not sure that is a good idea either. The other mods I saw, they put the box in the trunk. If ANYTHING is going to wrong with that system, it's going to be the light generator. It generates a TON of heat! Do you want to rip your headliner out again to troubleshoot a problem with the light generator, no thanks! That is why they sell the fiber optic cable in diff lengths. On another mod, the 9' cables were plenty long enough to reach from the trunk to the furthers point in the headliner. For me, having an SUV, I'd get the 13' long cables.

yeah this is exactly what I was worrying about. if you can move it to the trunk or maybe even glove box or center console that would be the best. kinda sketchy to put it in the headliner.

thank you so much for supporting bro! Honestly if you want to keep the car for a very very long time i would suggest buying new. It also does depend on what brz you want (gen 1 or gen 2). But buying used is never a bad way to go. Just try to find a stock low mileage one that looks like its been owned by someone who didnt beat the crap out of the car haha. I financed my first car so i only had to really save for the down payment. It took me about 2-3 months for the down payment alone but its definitely do able! Good luck brotha!🤙🏼 i hope you get the car you want and find a killer deal haha!

If you plan on modding your first car I will always recommend used. Used doesn’t mean bad! With the BRZ/GT86 you have so much modding potential.
I recommend a car that either has 0-120k kilometers or 190k km (with great service records) the reason is there is a lot of maintenance that pops up at 150k km and people will just trade into something else to avoid that maintenance.
There are a lot of great cars. Choose whatever you like most.

Why didn’t you re use the offcuts to add more stars to the same unit? It looks like you could get in more in the terminal connector to the light source
Why didnt use a voltage regulator or fuse? As a result the battery voltage is variable

You should solder the connection to a switched hot in your dash. Like the power to your radio. You can get an in-line fuse and push button switch for under $10

When you solder you wanna heat up the wire, not the solder. Keep the iron on the wire and then feed the solder in between the wire and the iron like you're TIG welding but with contact
