Why is 616 still 'the sacred timeline' considering the reason for it being sacred (he who remains winning the multiverse war?) no longer exists given Loki's defeated Kang? Also if the TVA exists out of time, and they're able to see all time, surely paradox saw he'd be defeated.
I think what makes the most sense for anchor beings is if they are the one who created the nexus event that created their universe. In Logan's case, he could have became the anchor being when he travelled to the past in Days Of Future Past. The changes he made would have led to the creation of a new timeline/universe. Since it was his action and decision who created it, he is the achor. So for example in What If, whichever character who was the nexus event is each episode would be the anchor for that universe. And technically the Sacred Timeline should not have an anchor being, unless its He Who Remains himself. This could also explains how Deadpool's universe is saved at the end. They changed things and created a nexus event which makes the two of them now the new actor beings. They basically changed how things were supposed to go, making the 2 of them the most important people for that timelines existence.
@mick1072 everytime someone from the TVA leaves and enter a timelines, they are changing that timeline, and/or creating new ones. So they wouldn't be able to tell how things would go. If they could, that would defeat the whole point of Loki S1. That was about freedom and everything not being determined.
@ScreenCrush Any thoughts on the (seemingly ridiculous) idea of an "anchor being" and how when they die a universe starts to decay? If a universe is billions of years old, why would one being who lives X-amount of years (pun intended) cause it to decay? Were there other anchor beings for billions of years? Or does a universe only, eventually, get one anchor being and when it dies, so does the universe? It's pretty non-sensical.
To me, and I am only speaking for myself here.. DeadPool and Wolverine was 95% Fan Service, which I absolutely loved. We needed a break from all the tv shows, science, theories etc. MCU fans needed a fun movie, and this one delivered. The remaining 5% of the movie was timeline tie ins and other misc that was needed to hold everything together.
Exactly. We don’t have to make it make sense. It’s just fun and the entire MCU doesn’t have to follow anything happened here. Or it’s just simply happening only in Deadpool mind. He’s insane after all.
I agree with you on this. I went into the theater thinking this movie was going to be nothing but a laid back, fun couple of hours and I left feeling thoroughly entertained.
Yup. This is not a "cinematic masterpiece" it is a fun Deadpool movie. Except for the intro... the NSync music video parody/ tribute was indeed a master class.
It was referenced that it happens in the near future, I think Deadpool will be the one to tell Thor that Loki is still alive, where he’s at, & how to find him. Deadpool is the only person who would know where Loki is.
I like to think of anchor beings as the key characters that make storytelling possible in a particular universe. When they die, the universe often loses its appeal, and the franchise may slowly decline. For example, in the X-Men series, Wolverine was an anchor being, and his death seemed to signal the decline of the universe. However, in "Deadpool & Wolverine," Deadpool has shown he's a character worth continuing, and he also makes a lot of money. Similarly, in the MCU, Iron Man and Captain America were crucial anchor beings. When they left, people started to lose faith in the MCU, leading to concerns that it might be dying. Studios (represented by the TVA) used to handle franchises by ending them abruptly after the death of anchors, a method that was simple, elegant, and efficient. Now, however, they let these franchises decline gradually, watching them struggle at the box office and slowly fade away. The TVA (Marvel) higher-ups believed that Deadpool had a lot of potential and shouldn't be left behind with the Fox universe. They wanted to save him and integrate him into the broader Marvel universe. However, not all franchises end with their anchor beings. Sometimes, new characters or storylines emerge that can carry the franchise forward. The MCU needs this kind of revival. The fact that the movie often breaks the fourth wall suggests this as the best possible explanation.
yes, spot on but the thing is they tried to fix too many things in this 1 movie already. Its good to see they are trying to divert away from Multiverse or closing the Kang variant to lead to Doomdays but having returning casts sometimes don't mean ppl will start coming back. True these returning stars and their characters does bring back some popularity....but ultimately its the story and how things link up to the next, makes the appeal more. Not to forget, MCU already introduced too many replacement characters to at one point, it can get too confusing just by continuing to watch. And lastly, why is Loki dying again in Thor's arms?
The only hole in your theory is that the marvel higher ups wanted nothing to do with Deadpool. The second movie was the easiest to get through but Ryan had to fight for years to get 1&3 released.
Yeah this is what I took away from the whole multiverse saga as well. Limbs = (Marvel) movie franchises Anchor beings = the main character with the most popularity The sacred time line = MCU Blade, Electra, Gambit being in the void = the projects being terminated There was supposed to be an X-men film with Tatum as Gambit that never even kicked off. I took the "I may have been born in the void" as a reference to the movie never even being filmed before the project was scrapped.
Question.... Very first Wolverine stand alone movie where they had the Deadpool with his mouth shut? Is that one not in the same timeline as the main deadpool but yet other Wolverine movies are? Also how did main deadpool kill the mouth shut deadpool with a gun?
@@MusicLuv80 yeah it’s the same timeline. Where mouth shut Deadpool came from is the basically the same way x-23 was created. As for killing mouth shut Deadpool I don’t remember that movie but I’m pretty positive Wolverine kills him.
Best breakdown of timelines vs. universes I’ve seen in media thus far and that we’ve heard from anyone with Marvel. Pretty much lines up with what I’ve been able to deduce from the mess.
It depends if you clicked and watched his videos or not . So if you didn't click and watched alot of his videos, you will not get alot of his channel in your feed .
I think Deadpool knew he had to find another Wolverine because Logan's death confirmed to him that his healing powers were gone. Simply going back to when he was alive wouldn't matter then, bc Logan would still be vulnerable and would likely just die again. DP is incredulous that Wolverine is actually dead when he says " That's not how healing factors work" but once he realized Logan was actually dead, the reality of the issue he was facing became clear.
Wouldn't there still be another Logan in Deadpool's timeline since the kid at the dealership that Deadpool was working at acknowledged the existence of both Wolverine and Deadpool after both traveled in costume to Deadpool's timeline?
I think what makes the most sense for anchor beings is if they are the one who created the nexus event that created their universe. In Logan's case, he could have became the anchor being when he travelled to the past in Days Of Future Past. The changes he made would have led to the creation of a new timeline/universe. Since it was his action and decision who created it, he is the achor. So for example in What If, whichever character who was the nexus event is each episode would be the anchor for that universe. They changed things and created a nexus event which makes the two of them now the new actor beings. They basically changed how things were supposed to go, making the 2 of them the most important people for that timelines existence.
I think it's much simpler than this. Logan takes place in 2029. After he dies, time continues on until 2053, where we get Cable's future. He goes back in time to 2018, and like in DoFP, the events of Deadpool 2 cause a new branch, which eventually leads to DP&W 6 years later. So in this way, Logan's death has technically already happened, i.e. the universe starts to decay, but even Cable "rewriting" time doesn't fix that problem.
Agreed. Logan being an anchor was specific to their main timeline. Deadpool’s branched timeline may have never had a Wolverine, or he died in the past. Deadpool knew of different Xaviers, so he could know about Logan in the same way.
Just watched D&W again and can see how meta and brilliant the whole thing is. In the 2000s Fox made X-Men films which ended in Logan with the death of Wolverine who is 'the' X-Man as Deadpool states. Fox was subsequently acquired by Disney (of whom the TVA are a metaphor overseeing all films and projects 'pruning' ones they don't want or allowing others to die) and who had shown no plans to make new X-Men films, letting that universe die. The one exception was the character of Deadpool who, whilst part of the X-Men universe (10005), had a life separate from the original Fox films, enjoying recent popularity with audiences so Disney (in the cinematic guise of the TVA) decided to import him from the Fox universe to the mainstream MCU (616). Deadpool had himself asked for this after the success of DP2 but was rejected by Disney at that time. Uncertain of his role and future, he had an existential crisis and hung up the suit. Fast forward to 2024 and, with the crisis in the MCU, Disney finally want DP onboard which he is happy to leave Fox for, however the TVA also point out because of the death of the most popular X-Man that world will die. Although there's nothing the TVA can actually do about that, it's stated that, although some in Disney/TVA want different universes to grow, some want to prune hard (suggesting conflict of intention within Disney). DP isn't prepared to accept this so goes on a quest to save the X-Men cinematic universe and ends up achieving this by resurrecting the character of Wolverine (and namely the famous actor who plays him) with an epic team up, billion dollar box office, film which has enthused current audiences for these characters and world. It's hinted he still has a part to play in 616 (and has proven his ability to resurrect dying franchises, AKA Marvel Jesus) so will be used in that way within the climax of the multiverse saga and likely an X-Men/10005 vs Avengers/616 crossover. Thor will return with Chris Hemsworth in role, Hugh Jackman will be Wolverine, RR will be Deadpool, RDJ will play a new character but the actor is a huge pull and the Russos are directing. I expect other OGs from both the MCU and Fox universe to make an appearance, alongside the best of the recent MCU characters and it'll all be a huge pull for audiences and huge box office successes like the OG films. This last phase has been a challenge for Marvel but if they can pull off this conclusion to it then history will be kind and overlook the projects that failed. Thinking this theory through also raises ideas on how Disney/TVA might influence other films and TV series. With the death of He Who Remains at the end of Loki 1 and with Loki being at heart of the TVA and changing it's purpose, it's now easy to say that the threat of Kang has been neutralised (if a bad one pops up they just ensure he's pruned, like in Quantumania) so there is no need for him to be the big bad anymore which gets them out of that cul-de-sac.
I think its very fair to say this movie was a little too meta for how deeply convoluted the mcu multiverse is. Looking at it through the timeline scope doesnt make this movie make sense. Knowing its a love letter to the fox/marvel relationship that might be rocky but had very high moments that resonate with people forever makes this movie what it is for me.
I think having electra was a perfect example of this. I liked that movie as a kid growing up (because jennifer garner is hot) but looking back it's by far the worst of 20th century and marvel INCLUDING She Hulk and secret invasion.
First off, love the explanation of the timelines and really makes a lot of sense. Second, I keep seeing a lot of these “Why is Thor crying” comments. You guys should turn it into a shirt.
So, to make it simple Trunk = The marvel universe Branch = X-men universe Twig = Deadpool universe But... in some tree if you prune a branch but left a twig, later the twig grow bigger and become the new branch. This analogy make sense for the marvel multiverse
I miss when all I had to keep track of was character names, powers and allegiances, origin stories, arch enemies, relationships, sidekicks, weaknesses, ego trips, failures, suit changes and kill counts.
That’s how I view it. He has the toy of Logan’s death in Deadpool 2. In Deadpool’s world Logan has been dead since that movie came out. Doesn’t matter what year it’s supposed to be in the movie.
Loki's chosen representative in the multiverse saga, Deadpool, is sent to deliver the good word of Loki's word only to be savagely attacked by Doom. Deadpool dies at the hands of Doom in battleworld. Thor recognizes the words the Deadpool relays as echoing Loki and immediately senses the connection between Loki and Deadpool. Deadpool reveals that Loki is the power behind Doom's rule over battleworld. If the heroes can liberate Loki they can stop Doom.
@Ryan I have a theory!!! What if Fox X-Men Universe is different Universe i.e. Universe 1081; then Deadpool Universe which is Universe 10005 as shown in Deadpool & Wolverine. Logan movie is also part of 10005 which was supposed to happpen in year 2029 but as Deadpool saved Venessa by changing Timeline; events of Logan happened around 2018-2019 in new Timeline. If we ignore the Cameo of Young cast of X-Men from Deadpool 2 by thinking that it just happend in Deadpool's mind as they didn't interact with anyone then Deadpool Movies makes complete sense. As we know from Logan movie that Mutants started dying due to some chemicals injected in crops, thus we can see no other X-Men in X Mansion & that is why Collosus wanted to recruit Deadpool to team as shown in 1st movie. Due to lack of Mutants Francis started creating his own Mutant Force as of Deadpool 1. Between Deadpool 1 & Deadpool 2; the seizures of Prof. Xaviers might took place and that is why they abandoned X-Mansion.
Thinking about this theory, we could say that the 616 limb is the MCU, but we have branches of this limb that could be the “Agents of Shield” timeline, the “Defenders” timeline, for example? (Thinking that they both have a lot in common and referenced the MCU, but not the other way around)
But Deadpool says “in his world Wolverine is a hero” so where’s that Wolverine? The main Logan is in the main Fox time line as the anchor being, and there are obviously other Logan’s in other branches. But where’s the Logan in Deadpool branch? We never meet him, the Logan that gets referred to is THE Logan, which is shown in the flash backs/forwards. So is Deadpool referring to that Logan because he has meta awareness, or is he talking about the Logan from his specific branch?
Okay.... can anyone answer a question about the movie that's been driving me insane for the past week or so. Deadpool says "Which Punisher, There's been like 5 of them" Now I can only think of Bernthal Lundgren Stephenson Jane Who's the 5th punisher?
Quite ironic how in-movie they're against the concept of sacred timeline, yet they don't dare to make Deadpool & this multiverse willbilies happen in said sacred timeline
About that point about Absolute Points in Time: In X-Men "97, Cable was keep on trying to stop the attack on Genosha. But everytime he tried that, he was pulled away before preventing it. It would make sense Deadpool would be pulled away everytime he tries to prevent the happenings of Logan.
You talked about variants looking different (like Spiderman) and variants looking the same (like Strange), but Deadpool & Wolverine also introduced the concept that two totally different people can have the same face, like Johnny Storm and Cap. Everyone's trying to justify Von Doom being a variant of Tony, but maybe they're two completely different people with the same face.
Appreciate the video as always! I feel the answer could be a whole lot simpler. Either Deadpool’s fourth wall-breaking awareness simply allows for all this to make sense since, hey, the movie “Logan” came out however many years ago so why not (added to some TVA-knows-things logic on their end)… or… I mean, is there anything I’ve missed that suggests timelines can’t be ahead of or behind one another by a little bit?
Okay, the Peter Vankmen, 'Sometimes sh*t happens, who deals with it and who gonna call?' is the best explanation to Marvel Multiverse that I have ever heard. Another thing to remember due to Deadpool's brain damage or it may well be a super power, Deadpool can see into other realities on his own. Its probably why the TVA/Loki want him for Avengers in 616, his power to see 'possibilities' make him very very powerful in the face of Kang or Dr. Doom.
I loved this movie. As an old person, this was all the fan service I craved. There were a few things that didn't make sense to me, though. The biggest among them, with Wolverine's healing factor, he can't get drunk. Why was he depicted as near black out drunk when Deadpool found him?
Logan and the Deadpool movies are 100% on the same timeline... Paradox literally says to Deadpool, whilst referencing the events of Logan, that the Wolverine from HIS universe dies causing HIS universe to start unraveling
Sure, yes, but in contemporary-set Deadpool 2, he has the X-Men Easter Egg with Dark Phoenix’s remainders- 20-something years after that film, with a direct link with the actors chosen, and 10 years past X3, which isn’t referenced much in DP at all. Also just for counting’s sake, Quicksilver was introduced in 1973 at 18ish, so in DP2’s cameo he’s 70 or so. Not to mention how old Beast would be.
I think I agree with you on your explanation, it also explains why the X-Men universer already had a Deadpool/Wade Wilson. Tho I didn't know they had established the sacred timeline was parallel timelines, good to know. That said to expand on your theory, what if now that Wolvie and Deadpool have made themselves the new anchor beings, Deadpools branch has become the new limb? As Meta as Deadpool is, that would make sense there too, as his will be the only part of the fox universe to survive going forward.
One question I haven't seen answered yet: 11:51 How is this Logan death music box from Deadpool2 explained? Deadpool either is from the same universe and timeline as Logan or on a branch stemming off of it as explained here. But neither can explain how Deadpool has a Logan death music box several years before he event even happens. I mean at the time they made Deadpool2 they weren't expecting Disney to buy everything up and stuff it into the MCU so they didn't really have to think of the consequences of this scene and just put it in as an easter egg but it becomes a mess to explain now lol
I'm thankful that this movie seemed to make many accept the suspension of disbelief that is ingrained into the multiverse thanks to Deadpool's silliness
If he went to the point Logan was dying and saved him, it merely creates a new branch where a variant Logan survives. However the main timeline with the main Logan who died still happens because that’s how timelines work
Even if Logan didn't occur in the same 'timeline' as Deadpool, that doesn't mean there isn't a Wolverine already existing in the Deadpool timeline. We know the X-men exists and we know Deadpool sees Wolverine as a hero within his own timeline and we know Deadpool went back in time to kill his old self in front of Wolverine to stop that Deadpools existence. Nothing explains away Wolverine's existence just because you want it to. There are likely 2 Wolverines and that's ok. We should assume Secret Wars will take this Wolverine away into that fight anyway, therefore Logan happens in any timeline it needs to.
@screencrush The Avengers interview with Happy takes place in 616 before endgame in 2018, then it cuts to Wade "years later" but it is universe 10005. How does this work?
DAYS OF FUTURE PAST split the X-Men into 2 different timelines. In the young (rebooted) timeline, Raven now dies in the 90s before the timeline could connect to the original X-men 2000 timeline. So, Logan, takes place in the new (rewritten) future of the original timeline, but Deadpool takes place in the rebooted (young) timeline... so why does Logan dying in Logan's timeline effect (kill) Deadpool's timeline since they branched off? The only way to make this make sense is if the fox universe we saw in Deadpool & Wolverine movie is actually a secret 3rd timeline where the events played out like a mixture of both timelines, but not the exact same timeline as either Deadpool or Logan's timelines. So basically, this Deadpool is a variant of the 1st 2 deadpool movies, played by the same actors, but not the same, just like this new Wolverine is not from the Fox universes, but just happens to have the same actor
I think Deadpool couldn’t get the same Wolverine from Logan at an earlier time because that Wolverine is destined to die in 2029 and therefore the timeline is already unraveling as the TVA sees all of time at once. So he would need a new anchor being from a different timeline that isn’t going to die. Cuz yk how Wolverine gonna die
this is how i would think of "anchor beings" that makes sense to me. basically, a universe/reality is created everytime something happens instead of another. this is more apparent/magnified when a sentient being makes a choice. like when you decide to become a doctor, over being an actor. with your decision, a new reality is created. and since it was your decision that created that new reality/universe, then you are the anchor being of that new universe/reality. every decision you make later on, creates a new universe again. so when you die, that universe dies with you. however, your consciousness and universe intersects with the other consciousness/univeses of other sentient beings. so even when you die, the universe/consciousness of other beings continue with their own univeses. these instersections would be what i would consider as timelines. the intersections/shared paths of these universes.
I believe that the Ten Rings could be used like a mini time ripper, because of the coulors of the Ten Rings when used by good (orange) and evil (blue) it looks like the Antimatter and Matter
Deadpool, on his deathbed, and after fighting bravely beside thor and the other heroes, probably touching himself various times throughout, comes clean that he was the gamer owning them in fortnite and that he's eradicated Korg from the game indefinitely. Also, his last words are "you were my favorite chris", resulting in Thor breaking out in tears. The end, universe rebooted.
The first class X-Men we saw in Deadpool two in 2018 is Deadpool’s X-Men. They just happened to look like the first class one from the main X-Men films get it. That’s why colossus is different.
Also, this could be a way to have both versions of X-Men in secret wars. Deadpool’s X-Men are the first class in modern time and will get the original cast X-Men in full X-Men cartoon outfits like the beast from the marvels I think is from the same universe as mentioned before by me, as the same as the doctor Xavier from Multiverse of madness and wolverine is the same wolverine from that universe as well
i think its best explained that Logan's universe is the "Fox" Timeline, with branched timelines that create Deadpool and other Fox/Xmen Characters. Similiar to the main timeline, but unchangeable cause it would be a paradox if broken.
Okay can someone clarify for me: multiverse are different locations, timelines are different sequence of events. Different timelines can exist in one universe. The audience can view a story that takes place in an alternate universe and/or an alternate timeline. Marvel uses the same nomenclature to describe either. So basically, the names (like 616 or 10005) can refer to a universe or a timeline. Right?
There definitely is/was a wolverine in n Deadpool's timeline; the kid at the car dealership confirms it. What if in Wade's timeline the events of Logan just happened earlier?
Could thinking of the timelines as limbs and branches help to explain how Cable's time machine allows DP to get to 616? He simply went back up his branch and limb into the tree giving him access to any limb and branch of the multiverse. To put it simply, has the formation of the tree turned every time machine into a dimension hopping machine?
I agree, that they are on different “limbs” of the tree-or potentially different trees entirely. The channel “A Bit of Everything” has A TON of videos diving deep into the multiple trees theory.
The wolverine in this movie isn't from universe 10005, Deadpool visits multiple universes to find one that can help him. We see a small Wolverine, we see a one handed wolverine, we even see a Henry Cavill version of Wolverine, all from different universes. 10005 Wolverine still dies like we saw in Logan The wolverine we see is from a universe where he didn't matter and the X-men have died (because he wasn't there when needed), that is not the wolverine we know from universe 10005. If all characters where from universe 10005, how could X23/Laura have aged while the events in Logan happen in 2029 while Deadpool&Wolverine is set in 2024? If she wasn't a variant, why would she have been pruned? She's supposed to be the new Wolverine in universe 10005.
My theory to help the Marvel writers: Anchor beings weren't a thing until after Loki season 2 as a way for the TVA to organize all the branches. They are a temporary solution that isn't working and Loki will have to reappear to address it during Secret Wars. Tony reincarnating as Dr. Doom becomes a new way for anchor beings to reincarnate as Tony probably was the anchor being for the 616. Who knows?
So Logan is the main timeline anchor he dies then no anchor. I take it Deadpool is in a branch of the main timeline or maybe the main one. Once the "worst" Logan is found and all the events of D&W would it be a new branch that saves the main timeline. Would that branch reconnect to the main timeline to heal it sorta. Does the main timeline need the anchor or can a branch have the anchor.
I'm looking forward to seeing variants of Agatha Harkness forming a House of Harkness. Classic Agatha Harkness from Earth 838, Agatha Harkness from Earth 11052 (X-Men Evolution universe), and AH from Earth 610.
Time travel works differently in the X-Men movies and X-Men 97 as opposed to: the MCU. Where it gets interesting, is: what timeline / universe did Cable come from, with his tech that could bridge dying timelines back to the tree and mainstream timelines? ALSO even in that What If? STRANGE episode, one timeline could split in two, which is VERY similar to X-Men timeline logic...
You won't believe me but i thought this already and now you're making video on it Just feels like deja vu One more thing when Deadpool did time travel at the end of D2 movie he ended up being in a branched timeline where venessa and other x force members exist and but Wolverine doesn't exist in that timeline

There is a much easier way to resolve most of this.
The numbered year from time to timeline isn't exact.
It's already 2030 in Deadpool 3.
@ScreenCrush Any thoughts on the (seemingly ridiculous) idea of an "anchor being" and how when they die a universe starts to decay? Secret wars we will find out. As paradox said, the footage from the nearest future
I saw this somewhere that Thor was crying because he saw Deadpool dancing.
I think it’s something to do with secret wars
This explanation of the multiverse seems to be the most detailed and most likely how the MCU operates so far. Thank you, Ryan! My brain thanks you.
Well, he did not explain anything and just pretended certain things did not happen in the movie, but ok 🤷🏻♂️
@@AlessioAlessi well he did explain the concept of the sacred timeline and adjacent universes better than anyone on TH-cam.
@@FroilanFuenteswhat about “A Bit Of Everything.”
Limbs = (Marvel) movie franchises
Anchor beings = the main character with the most popularity
The sacred time line = MCU
Blade, Electra, Gambit being in the void = the projects being terminated
There was supposed to be an X-men film with Tatum as Gambit that never even kicked off.
Ultimately, it's coming down to "Just sit back and enjoy the ride." When everything is done 3 years from now, it will be one single rebooted universe.
Yessir. Then they screw up again
is this confirmed?
I dont know about that. Multiverse and variants of characters gives them freedom.
Best breakdown of timelines vs. universes I’ve seen in media thus far and that we’ve heard from anyone with Marvel. Pretty much lines up with what I’ve been able to deduce from the mess.
I really did like that Bill Murray clip that led to the RDJ picture from Cam Icon well done very welldone. 😂😂😂👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This is the first screen crush I’ve seen in my feed in a long time. I normally have to go hunting for episodes. The algorithm is doing him dirty
Just subscribe
They show up in mine every post, and I am not even subbed. hm
Same bro, and I’m subscribed
It depends if you clicked and watched his videos or not .
So if you didn't click and watched alot of his videos, you will not get alot of his channel in your feed .
@@notmephisto1375 I am but they still don’t show up. I have to go dig
gotta hand it to ryan that sponser tranisition was smooth😂
No way TH-cam queued up an ad just as Ryan was saying “and” - the ad that popped up was Deadpool saying “and yes, your underwear is getting tighter” 😂
1:17 Timelines
6:30 Anchor beings
8:17 Absolute points
13:05 Multiverse tree structure
Thanks
Incursions?
It’s amazing how you made their loop holes make sense lol😂
Forget nostalgia, it needs to make sense
And technically the Sacred Timeline should not have an anchor being, unless its He Who Remains himself
This could also explains how Deadpool's universe is saved at the end. They changed things and created a nexus event which makes the two of them now the new actor beings. They basically changed how things were supposed to go, making the 2 of them the most important people for that timelines existence.
Your explanation makes a lot of sense and I wish we had more clear explanations of this in the overall multiverse story
i’m stoned and that ghostbusters bit had me dying of laughter
thanks guys!
Agreed. Logan being an anchor was specific to their main timeline. Deadpool’s branched timeline may have never had a Wolverine, or he died in the past. Deadpool knew of different Xaviers, so he could know about Logan in the same way.
What about billions of years before Logan was born?
That's a great explaination !
Thank you for explaining the limb vs. branch thing. It makes so much more sense.
Man the difference is sense a 🚬 makes! Thanks for this perspective.
This explanation is the most comprehensive I've heard thus far.
My braincells thank you.
I wonder what happened when the window disappeared on the door that Wolverine was busting through during that amazing ending scene
This video was such a BANGER!
First off, love the explanation of the timelines and really makes a lot of sense.
Second, I keep seeing a lot of these “Why is Thor crying” comments. You guys should turn it into a shirt.
So, to make it simple
Trunk = The marvel universe
Branch = X-men universe
Twig = Deadpool universe
But... in some tree if you prune a branch but left a twig, later the twig grow bigger and become the new branch.
This analogy make sense for the marvel multiverse
I miss when all I had to keep track of was character names, powers and allegiances, origin stories, arch enemies, relationships, sidekicks, weaknesses, ego trips, failures, suit changes and kill counts.
I’m gonna have to watch this video a few more times lol.
Deadpool knows it's a series of movies and when Logan came out is more important than when Logan is set
That’s how I view it. He has the toy of Logan’s death in Deadpool 2. In Deadpool’s world Logan has been dead since that movie came out. Doesn’t matter what year it’s supposed to be in the movie.
The fact that you explained it too well👍 loose ends all tied up. It all makes sense, thank you ryan💯
Sometimes I wonder if Kevin Feige watches Screen Crush to make sure he doesn't mess up the canon of his next film.
It would be less complicated if Deadpool's universe is separate from the multiverse that Loki is guiding.
Great explanation, well done
He’s wrong
thanks guys!
This Deadpool and Wolverine makes more sense than anything I have been watching to make sense..
@Ryan
I have a theory!!!
Deadpool did the multiverse montage 100% better than Doctor Strange
Ofc
Thinking about this theory, we could say that the 616 limb is the MCU, but we have branches of this limb that could be the “Agents of Shield” timeline, the “Defenders” timeline, for example? (Thinking that they both have a lot in common and referenced the MCU, but not the other way around)
2:15 Wanda was pruning simply and elegantly in Multiverse of Madness
But Deadpool says “in his world Wolverine is a hero” so where’s that Wolverine? The main Logan is in the main Fox time line as the anchor being, and there are obviously other Logan’s in other branches. But where’s the Logan in Deadpool branch? We never meet him, the Logan that gets referred to is THE Logan, which is shown in the flash backs/forwards. So is Deadpool referring to that Logan because he has meta awareness, or is he talking about the Logan from his specific branch?
The whole opening scene was FU*KİNG AWESOME!!! THE BEST MARVEL OPENİNG SQUENCE EVER
Okay.... can anyone answer a question about the movie that's been driving me insane for the past week or so.
Deadpool says "Which Punisher, There's been like 5 of them"
Now I can only think of
Bernthal
Lundgren
Stephenson
Jane
Who's the 5th punisher?
Cracked the code there buddy❤
Appreciate the video as always! I feel the answer could be a whole lot simpler. Either Deadpool’s fourth wall-breaking awareness simply allows for all this to make sense since, hey, the movie “Logan” came out however many years ago so why not (added to some TVA-knows-things logic on their end)… or… I mean, is there anything I’ve missed that suggests timelines can’t be ahead of or behind one another by a little bit?
What movie is 8:42, I recall seeing just a short flashback with this but not that dialogue
marvel has to make a movie explaining all these timelines 😂
You made some pretty good arguments 👏
Well explained 😃
@04:04 nailed it 😂😂😂😂😂
3:55 sums things up PERFECTLY 😂
If he went to the point Logan was dying and saved him, it merely creates a new branch where a variant Logan survives. However the main timeline with the main Logan who died still happens because that’s how timelines work
Wooooohh
Perfect theory bro.
If logan dies whole Fox universe and its branches like Deadpool's world or storyline dies too.
❤
Greatt🎉 end of video...everything is crystal clear now
Yo that sock thing hit me spiritually af🤣😅
Miss you papa
@screencrush
The Avengers interview with Happy takes place in 616 before endgame in 2018, then it cuts to Wade "years later" but it is universe 10005. How does this work?
thanks
Okay. I really really love this explanation! 🤯
I pay TH-cam to avoid all the ads, and Ryan still finds a way to sneak them in. 🤦🏾
😂 can’t escape it. I’ve gotten good at skipping through Ryan’s ads though.
Thank you for this explanation.❤❤❤
I believe that the Ten Rings could be used like a mini time ripper, because of the coulors of the Ten Rings when used by good (orange) and evil (blue) it looks like the Antimatter and Matter
WHY WAS THOR CRYING!
Deadpool, on his deathbed, and after fighting bravely beside thor and the other heroes, probably touching himself various times throughout, comes clean that he was the gamer owning them in fortnite and that he's eradicated Korg from the game indefinitely. The end, universe rebooted.
Because deadpool told a bad job
Just watched deadpool 3 Awesome movie🤩🔥. So funny 😆🤣 marvel funniest movie ever. Now excited to see loki deadpool together 👀👏
You were right when you said that the multiverse is convoluted
3:49 - 4:03 sonofa.... ok that was some Deadpool level joke and edit there ScreeCrush team. 🤣👍🤣👍🤣👍
Yup there has to be a Wolverine and kid confirms it ,I mean deadpool would know about 4th wall breaking but how will that kid knows about wolverine.
"somehow, RDJ returned" 😂
>JK Simmons laugh GIF
I agree, that they are on different “limbs” of the tree-or potentially different trees entirely. The channel “A Bit of Everything” has A TON of videos diving deep into the multiple trees theory.
Makes a lot of sense, well done
That dead dad part hit lol I seen Sam Raime Spiderman when I was little before my dad passed
The wolverine in this movie isn't from universe 10005, Deadpool visits multiple universes to find one that can help him.
We see a small Wolverine, we see a one handed wolverine, we even see a Henry Cavill version of Wolverine, all from different universes.
10005 Wolverine still dies like we saw in Logan
The wolverine we see is from a universe where he didn't matter and the X-men have died (because he wasn't there when needed), that is not the wolverine we know from universe 10005.
Who knows?
Im drinking moscow mules while watching this...i think they help make this video make way more sense than it should. Cheers !
Where did you get that clip of the multiversal tree bursting into flames (@8:01)?
That is from Loki season 2
You won't believe me but i thought this already and now you're making video on it Just feels like deja vu
One more thing when Deadpool did time travel at the end of D2 movie he ended up being in a branched timeline where venessa and other x force members exist and but Wolverine doesn't exist in that timeline
Peter Venkmenn to RDJ was genius😂
Thank for all the gems ur content is refreshing
The timeline shown in the Hunter B-15 Temp Pad was not branching out but MERGING!!
