I was fortunate enough to meet him a couple of times. I was a roadie for about 20 odd years. I first met him in 95 and spoke to him for 10 minutes or so. And in 2003 or maybe 4, I met him and he didn’t remember my name but he did remember that I had been Chris Glens roadie. I’m a nobody at tall, but I was really surprised that somehow he remembered. I saw them at Hellfest 2015. However, at the time I wasn’t much into Motörhead so I didn’t go close to the stage. I’m kind guttered now that I didn’t but I got to hear them live.
Seeing him him in front of that machine really bummed me out how he looked towards the end. I really miss the this legend, every time I had met him at the end of a show, he stood there and talked to every person and took every photo. An absolute true and humble gentleman
Well Lemmy didn't know I'd miss you this much. I was 15 in 76 when I bought Hawkwinds space ritual, then Hall of the mountain grill followed and remained a fan all my life. In 79 I saw Motorhead in Preston at the guildhall. So as you grew old so did I. I'm 62 now and you passed away 7 years ago..Believe me when I say you are loved and missed by so many fans across so many generations.
I saw him and the band from just a few feet away at a club in Cincinnati way back in the 80s. It was deafening but also powerful and energizing . I still remember noticing his boots , for some reason. They were cool boots
I'm 53, what got me into music was Bill haley and the comets, thanks to my mother who brought music back from Boston in the 60s. Lemmy and motorhead done a great job in keeping rock and roll alive
Very Intelligent man. Good observer of human nature. Knew how to rock and take notice in spite of indulging too much. Can't imagine him as anybody else. We all have a role to play
Because i named after him and grew up with Motorhead, his death really felt like losing a part of me. You know that empty feeling after a breakup or something. But yeah, after his death i almost checked out all the interviews on youtube of him, read white line fever all because of wanted to know the person he is. Now i can say that i am very honored to being named after him, he is a real rockstar. Honest, humble and a great sense of humour. Lemmy and Motorhead will always be a great part of my life and im sure know that i carry the torch of living my life my own way in the honest way possible. BORN TO LOSE, LIVE TO WIN!!!

What a nice man! Rock’n Roll will never be the same without Lemmy and Motorhead! I’m glad You released a lot of good rock’n roll that will live on forever❣️
If you meet anyone as honest as Lemmy and tells you that you are a being a prick ,to your face, while you are being a prick...that's someone you embrace.
I met Lemmy once when I lived in the USA. I thanked him for the music He said. Thanks that means a lot. Did I like he latest album? Yes its great. and we went our separate ways.

Why not , its been used for about 50 years ! Attributed to Darryl F Zannuck the film producer but claimed to be as old as W. C. Fields about 80 years ago .
One minute you think you know something about music and then listen to the first 2 minutes of the interview. You end up on Wikipedia for 20 minutes and discover that Lemmy knew his shit and you had to look it all up.

Lemmy lived the life he wanted and was ready to die long before the time came so he just kept on living the way he had until one day he died having really lived. We should all aspire to this, who wants to live past 70 anyway? People who care way too much about what they have to say…that’s who.
Me and my friends went to see motorhead for my batchelor party ....was fucking awsome We threw a blowup doll in rhe pit and she ended up on stage with Anthrax who opened Was amazing
Influenced by the old school Punk rockers. Lemmy lived musical history. The world according to Lemmy, so true and so wise..... A true legand RIP Lemmy playing pool incarnate 🙏✌️🤘☠️🏴🇦🇺
Check out 13:50 when Lemmy keeps things " Real " with the interviewer .. and if anyone thinks he is a bit harsh, well my advice is to watch " Beware of Mr. Baker " which is a documentary about Ginger Baker in his last years.. well Ginger fking rants and raves to the point that he ends up breaking the interviewers face in with his metal walking cane lol ! no shit, he breaks the fellas nose on camera !
He started slowing down 5-6 years before he passed. He was still sharp but, like you said, he wasn’t at 100% during this period. That lifestyle was brutal, even to someone with his constitution.

He had to have constant diarrhea.
Even if he ate steak 🥩 3 times a day that alcohol was squirting out of him!

Lemmy looked sick, tired and dehydrated in these interviews. It seems that the lifestyle he led was already taking its toll.
