A girl I've been speaking a lot lately met Lemmy. She said he was gentleman to her so I definitely believe him what he said about "I treat women how they should be treated".

I can vouch for him being a "gentleman". Very unlike most of his contemporaries.
A friend of mine had the same sort of experience,when she met him,in L.A.
When he asked her what she did,and found out she worked with street kids,he pulled out some cash,laid some money on her,and told her "Buy some of them lunch".

Just finished reading his autobiography. Can't claim to be a big Motörhead fan at all, but I absolutely idolise Lemmy. The man was a fucking legend.

I was watching a documentary about Lemmy and Motörhead and the director asked him what was his most prized possession in his house, and Lemmy replied “My son”. That was the most heartwarming I’ve heard him say.

lemmy is from stoke, where i was born. ozzy is from birmingham which is maybe an hour and a half away. i have brummy freinds and we can all understand each other fine. id love to see it though lol.

Never had an issue understanding either. Some people have an ear for certain accents though. Gimme a barefoot rastafarian dude thats never left the island and I can't understand a fucking word they say.

I was hoping Sam was going to post this. Lemmy was one of the last true Rock 'n' Roll rebels. The world is much more quiet without him. I was lucky enough to get a bass pick from him when I saw Motorhead in 2003. I will cherish that forever. RIP Lemmy.

It was amazing to be on the Sunset Strip Saturday Night and see so many people out there to pay our respects by throwing back some cold ones and rocking out to loud music. There was a tribute show by Metal Allegiance at the Whisky with over a dozen greats from some of my favorite bands playing classic covers and some originals. They closed out with a killer Motorhead set - Mikkey Dee came out to play drums for a song! My favorite moment was probably Dave Lombardo playing drums for Overkill. It was an awesome night and a fitting way to salute an say farewell to Lemmy.

Whenever i feel like crap i ALWAYS watch Dio’s and Lemmy’s interviews from you guys. Their pen minds, ahead of their time, their absolute wisdom and how humble and honest they were. Is rare to find that nowadays without falling in the “too serious” category.
One of the greatest legends in music history, and he says something as simple as "I recommend it, you won't be sorry". You can hear the happiness in his voice. This has to be one of the best and most wholesome advices I've ever heard.

Speed is a funny old drug. I lived on the stuff when I was young. You got used to the comedown and cured it by having more. It’s as if my body adapted to it. Then I quit and never touched a thing for 15 years. Suddenly, as part of my ongoing midlife crisis at 45 years old, I acquired some. Fucking hell! I was convinced I was having a heart attack or a stroke,probably both at the same time. Then I felt suicidal coming down. 2 days later, I did it again, and again and finally finished it off. I looked like shit, couldn’t have a piss and hadn’t eaten for a week. So, I retired. But my word it was beautiful. And I had the cleanest bathroom you ever saw.
😂 brilliant I've not touched fast in about 15 years...I don't miss trying to find my Todger and standing at the toilet for 30 mins trying to squeeze a piss out.....I still have the occasional patsy of ching at least that wears off you in a couple of hours.

In 1985, I got to see Motorhead play at L'amour in Brooklyn, NY and they were the loudest band that I've ever seen! RIP LK

I'm a hardcore punk lover, there's very few bands more punk than motorhead. Their sound is the perfect mix of all school rock and roll, punk rock and certain metal bands. Their lifestyle, they lived for what they wanted to do, not what people wanted them to do. And Lemmy, he's actually the embodiment of punk. Funny, honest, true to himself, respectful but not going to be treated without it, lived for life, was real as they come, caring and badass

Best hour of my life was seeing Motorhead headlinging Pigstock in Clinton IA in the late 90s. Lem died on my bday in 15. Guy gave me one of best and worst days of my life.

This dude's so full of wisdom. I like what he said about people feeling they're special because they're part of a few select fans and going off bands when they become popular. I have friends who were horrified when I told them I was familiar with some bands music and they thought they were the special ones, the same individuals who loved Coldplay's first album but won't admit it and now despise them.
A man with No Hate. He loved people of all race, gender and creed. A wonderful man who left us far too soon.

I used to know Lem in my local pub in London in the early 1980s and he was just like this in conversation,very charming and funny,we used to play Asteroids together for hours and he always paid for the next game,win lose or draw....he was good at it too,we both used to average score about 60,000.

I did not know of Lemmy until after his death. In looking at all the interviews this one especially the man was definitely special and true to his lifestyle no poser here. Wish that I would have seen Motorhead live but missed the opportunity. RIP Lemmy!

So glad I got to see Motörhead before Lemmy sadly passed away. 2008/09 was such a fucking insane year for me gig wise. Saw Metallica twice, Motörhead, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Testament, Slayer, Mastodon, Trivium as well as some others.
I live right up the road in Macon Ga were Little R is from we turned out some of the best Rock;metal ;soul and blues of all time.
