I feel bad for kids that don't know about real rock n roll or metal. I don't always fault them for their music choice. I just fear a day when this sort of genuine personality is no longer appealing or even present in music. Even the more "edgy" artists today can't hold a candle to Lemmy. They don't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath. Lemmy was a different thing altogether, even from his contemporaries. There aren't too many good ones. I just don't think it would've worked as well with Lemmy on. It worked with James Hetfield because Rogan was a big fan. It'd only really work with a real Motörhead fan. I would have loved to see him do a long form podcast though and talk for a few hours. Even if it was just a recorded conversation with one of his friends or band mates for a few hours.
