Sounds crazy but if just if Matt Reeves does Mr freeze I'm very curious to see how they set that up Matt Reeves has actually combined more villains in one movie than any Batman director so far. But Vic being Mr freeze would flip the script because it was clues in the penguin series that it could happen especially when penguin and Vic were in the restaurant eating and Vic ordered something called frees he stuttered it so if not so be it but this series was very good and historic never been done before making a solid dedicated spin off from a Batman film this sets the tone fire how TV series should be done this series actually reminded me of the TV series power also very good series where the lead character kept surviving death situations as a black drug dealer but a mastermind and every body was taking each other out
There's no way they are using Mr Freeze. Matt Reeves will only make 3 movies. So he knows they all have to be connected. Probably he will do Court of Owls or Hush. Now that Penguin is working with the District Attorney, that means the next movie will be about the corruption in the government
I thought Vic was going to die as they didn't want to bring the character over to the next Batman movie. I had no idea Oz was going to be the one killing him. That was a shock. I understand him doing it but doesn't make sense. And then, to top it off, Oz doesn't kill his girl Eve at the end of the movie but maybe he doesn't care for her as much as it seems. Excellent show! Colin Farrell was awesome!
You missed the point. Vic was killed because Oz realized he became too close to him which was his weakness. Eve is Oz’s weird way of seeing his mother in her. It was pretty obvious…He’s a psychopath 😂
I saw Vic's death coming since the beginning, I became convinced when we found out Oz killed his brothers. The only thing that matter to him was making his mother proud and making it to the top.
Great take on the show and on the various characters. I am glad that they kept Oz a bad guy and not an antihero. Unlike Maleficent etc. that try to paint their villains as misunderstood. Here’s hoping we get to see Matt Reeves’ take on my boy Deathstroke in this Batman universe.
A good ending doesn't always mean a happy ending, and people who are unhappy with the ending just because they like Vic's character don't seem to understand this. What Oz did made sense for the character. Had Vic not told Oz that he's family, he would likely still be alive. It's not like he killed him randomly for no reason.
,my favorite scene where I saw Oz for what he really was when Sofia and him at gun point and he just trying to weasel himself out while foaming and spitting out his mouth
I think he turned on Vic because Penguin used other peoples family members as bargaining chips and almost got everything he wanted. It was the weakness of all of the gangsters of the movie.
When I saw all the character development he got I knew he was gonna die. Especially because he had an out, I knew that choice to stay was his undoing. Oz was even supportive of him leaving. The irony is that if he left the Maronis’ would have won and killed Oz without Vic to save him. Great show, Oz is a villain.
Guys Sofia said she’d save him a seat in hell and I believe penguin won’t die but in the future but will plead insanity to escape death in prison at some point throughout the Batman movies 😎 give me my fuckin flowers
You could definitely argue like that but storywise it was also important. Because it was mostly Vic saving him. Or Oz himself by being a smart mf. Nothing happened for no reason if that makes sense.
Collin Ferrell was absolutely amazing in this show. I look forward to seeing more 🐧 on TV/big screen. Also, I've BEEN screaming that they should give villians a TV show so folks can get to know them more. They deserve to have their story told as well.
"They all killed their bosses... There is no honor in this place" What can be more noble than kill your own boss? If you do, that's meant you were a good student.
Ya but Vic didn't stand in the way of his mom like his brothers did. Vic was a loyal soldier who are near impossible to find. BUT, with Oz needing to appear squeaky clean, I think he was worried Vic would bring him down without even meaning to. Still though, it was shocking ending to me and sad. AND he didn't want any emotional attachment to anyone if he was going to run things.
After watching The Batman the Penguin series made a lot of sense. Sophia getting that surprise at the end and Oz transforming into a villain that we would eventually hate was part of the bigger plan for The Batman 2. Everything comes together perfectly.
Man I had to rewind that scene I was in so much shock by how Penguin did Vic I got teary eyed, but then what he did with his Mother, and having his GF wesr the dress she wore the night she was going to have him wacked...diabolical.
It goes more even sided than Oz just not wanting to get hurt. Every despot (or congressman for THAT matter) has betrayed or killed their own right hand man. The reason for that is that they do NOT want to share power. It was a given that Oz loved the boy for his loyalty, and seeing himself within Vic . . . but Vic was already starting to show major potential and it would only be a matter of time before he felt his worth was more than Oz would reward, and dissention would arise in Vic. Oz didn't struggle to quash the families and take over, just to have a Hydra head grow back, and yes of course, having that new head be Vic, would hurt him. But that's the minor part of it. He was being smart when he killed Vic because Vic was gaining some likeability amongst the other family runners, and henchmen. What if he 'pulled an Oz' and talked the other family assistants into joining him and taking over Oz's empire? It would be a mess, and Oz is smarter than that. As Batman comics writer Jeph Loeb once said, Oz is smarter than Bruce (Batman).
I think the perfect villains for the second movie would be the Court of Owls, but instead of using the Talons as assassins, I would instead have Scarecrow or the Mad Hatter as their right-hand men, who would be in charge of mind-controlling those in high society who don’t want to abide by the rules of the court. Both Scarecrow and the Mad Hatter would confront Batman and try to play with his mind and traumas, but would discover how broken Bruce is, while at the same time the owls try to put Oz in power as mayor to get rid of Bella Réal. That would be amazing.
Oz being called a rat by commissioner Gordon and the Batman in the movie is what gives Oz the idea to pull all of this That's what he's thinking about when he's staring out the window at the end of the Batman is how all of this ratting is going to get him to the top
My problem with this show, is that it portrays Sophie as being “Right” and justified because of her actions somewhat. While Oz is the True villain. It doesn’t matter what pain Sophia went through , she still wasn’t the best person before Arkham, she also wanted to take over her father’s business, She’s just as evil as Oz if not just below.
I think part of it is that he realized how much he’s done he doesn’t want Vic to ever take over like Vic got all the right hand men of the gangs together and oz peeped that
Bro we need a damn Deathstroke series now. Manu Bennett crushed it on Arrow and I would love to see another portrayal. I can't wait to see where the ReevesVerse goes from here.
This just shows how dark twisted and downright psychotic mummy issues yep sexual true psychotic mummy latch then when he gets a chance to get a brother back he drains the life out of him slowly as he will get in his way when in the halls of power so instead of being used against him he just kills him to hide his own weakness
For people who don’t get it. Here it is simply put. You felt like the Oz was going to turn on Vic at any moment but he’s so convincing he convinced the audience he truly saw him as a son, that he saw himself in him. Then when they finally got to the end when we forgot believing he would betray the one person most like him.. he did. That’s when the Penguin became the true villian 10/10
A part of me feels like Vic might survive but idk. The fact they chose choking as his way to go out, when eveeything else in the show seems alot more definitive.. i feel like its left up to interpretation on purpose. And like everyone is saying, his arc wasn't exactly finished. They could bring him back as a surprise villain maybe
Three-body problem is not about the characters it's about the stakes and the entire story takes place over something like 2 or 3 million years so the part about the video game is a very small and insignificant part
Story wise had to kill Vic. He wasn’t totally evil he wanted to help his neighborhood and be loved. Pretty much same as thanos but can’t be the big bad like that that’s why he had to kill gamora same as oz had to kill Vic.
This ending was so unsatisfying and hollow. I didn't cry, no shock, no horror. Such a pity stand "I can't allow weaknesses". Feeling that I was foooled to believe... They got me good. "Oh it's a gray world, Oz just wants to mean something". Writes gave us this idea, only then to dissolve it slowly. And this is why this ending is the best. It is a good warning. Don't play some one else's games. And Vic? He shot a man for this game. He has built an army for Oz, by orchestrating assassinations of gang leaders. You think Oz would not notice the dynamic of power transfer? Also believing and trusting to a man who lies, kills and burns... Burns mother and son alive.
Soffia is not the anti-hero maybe she was but when she blows up that city block just to get at Oz she crossed the line Oz to full on villain. I think Oz killed Vic because Vic outsmarted him by getting the lieutenants to kill their bosses. He is jealous of Vic's intelligence.
I think the Mayor Cobb/ Court of Owls plotline you present is fucking awesome but instead of happening in the second movie I think its gonna be put in motion in part 2 and fully implemented in part3 with the court of owls being the villains for that movie. Maybe a talon will show up in part 2 I mean who knows
Oz isn't an underdog leader. He projects his insecurities and desire for power onto the other nameless gangsters but at the end of the day everything he does is to serve him and him alone
@@gidthaillest in the court room itself with various owl shaped curtain cut outs in the back plus Oz makes several references in the show to higher up politicians that all get together and control the city , he sais it in his speech to the gangs in ep 6 and he kinda references ot when hes talking to the councilman in ep 8 "id like to meet some of those friends of yours"

😂😂😂 although possibly true dumbest logic I've ever heard
Well he unalived His own brothers so it’s like he eliminates Family like VIC 🥶
,my favorite scene where I saw Oz for what he really was when Sofia and him at gun point and he just trying to weasel himself out while foaming and spitting out his mouth
Show makers Finally making the villan do villianous thing instead of giving him a sad backstory as excuse for being a villan
I think he turned on Vic because Penguin used other peoples family members as bargaining chips and almost got everything he wanted. It was the weakness of all of the gangsters of the movie.
More importantly, he mom just got used as a bargaining chip against him.
Zaffy deserves a million subs. Dude puts out amazing content
thanks man
When I saw all the character development he got I knew he was gonna die.
It was good but it was ridiculous. He got captured nearly every episode and got out in some ridiculous way
You could definitely argue like that but storywise it was also important. Because it was mostly Vic saving him. Or Oz himself by being a smart mf. Nothing happened for no reason if that makes sense.
He's got strange luck on his side just like in the comics.
Collin Ferrell was absolutely amazing in this show. I look forward to seeing more 🐧 on TV/big screen.
Also, I've BEEN screaming that they should give villians a TV show so folks can get to know them more. They deserve to have their story told as well.
Vic's death makes both the Penguin, and what had gone before all the more compelling and provoking. And that make up! That deserves awards in itself
"They all killed their bosses... There is no honor in this place"
What can be more noble than kill your own boss? If you do, that's meant you were a good student.
They better have a hell of a climax if we make it to Batman 3. Give Penguin/Farrell a villainous send off he deserves
Dude loving the deathstroke mask great channel by the way 🤘🏼
Ya but Vic didn't stand in the way of his mom like his brothers did.
Ayoooo you do have a point about the court of owls if Oz is going to be with the elites then Batman 2 should see him where he’s at now
Victor von Doom should get this level of treatment in a series.
The only problem I had with the Penguin series is it didn't feel connected to The Batman movie.
The Closes people to you. Will betray you. RIP Vic 🕊
JUSTICE FOR VICTOR !!! BATMAN DESTROY THIS CHUMP.... awesome show
WHAT!!!?!!?? he knew what was gonna happen to the that boy from the get go. Everybody I think knew what was gonna happen
Man I had to rewind that scene I was in so much shock by how Penguin did Vic I got teary eyed, but then what he did with his Mother, and having his GF wesr the dress she wore the night she was going to have him wacked...diabolical.
"I hate the therapist, it should've been ME" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Who else knew this character was going to be dope the first time they saw the batman trailer? 🙋🏾♂️
This and Shogun have been the most impressive to me recently with the high level of acting in each
It goes more even sided than Oz just not wanting to get hurt.
The batman sign at the end was the topping on the cake 10/10 show
i’m new around here … i’m liking your style.. you’re pretty good Kid .. 👍🏼
After Penguin strangled Victor I couldn’t help but think Oz was the hangman this whole time
bro that was the best show ever made
Oz being called a rat by commissioner Gordon and the Batman in the movie is what gives Oz the idea to pull all of this That's what he's thinking about when he's staring out the window at the end of the Batman is how all of this ratting is going to get him to the top
Bro for me it’s between penguin and shogun
Oz manipulated the audience
My problem with this show, is that it portrays Sophie as being “Right” and justified because of her actions somewhat. While Oz is the True villain.
It doesn’t matter what pain Sophia went through , she still wasn’t the best person before Arkham, she also wanted to take over her father’s business, She’s just as evil as Oz if not just below.
I think part of it is that he realized how much he’s done he doesn’t want Vic to ever take over like Vic got all the right hand men of the gangs together and oz peeped that
I love every single iteration of penguin , I don’t want to see my man go. I love my crime families and bosses.
Bro we need a damn Deathstroke series now. Manu Bennett crushed it on Arrow and I would love to see another portrayal. I can't wait to see where the ReevesVerse goes from here.
Love the video but just wanted to say every time you tried a penguin voice you sounded like Rick from Rick and Morty haha :p
loool ive been told
Vic has seen too much; Powerful men can't have people who knows their weakness!
This just shows how dark twisted and downright psychotic mummy issues yep sexual true psychotic mummy latch then when he gets a chance to get a brother back he drains the life out of him slowly as he will get in his way when in the halls of power so instead of being used against him he just kills him to hide his own weakness
sophia is scary af. Her stare when she capture and interogate oz is amazing its convince me she is real lose canon, even tho she isn't.
I think I laughed before you did when the ring of power popped up and watch shogun.
Are you from RDP?
A part of me feels like Vic might survive but idk. The fact they chose choking as his way to go out, when eveeything else in the show seems alot more definitive.. i feel like its left up to interpretation on purpose.
And like everyone is saying, his arc wasn't exactly finished. They could bring him back as a surprise villain maybe
I want to see the Court of Owls before any other villain. The setup is right and it also keeps with Reaves reality Bat-Verse well.
Also i dont think thr court of owls would allow penguin to be privileged to incriminating material and knowledgeable esoecially since hes just a pawn
i don’t know why but it feels like vic will return as clayface or as a member of the owls
Three-body problem is not about the characters it's about the stakes and the entire story takes place over something like 2 or 3 million years so the part about the video game is a very small and insignificant part
Alberto is dead. They showed him expire. Vic… not so much.
Definitely the best show this year. Top 3 last 5 years. From minute one until the end was brilliant
My thing was how he didn't see that coming
Shogun is good but not better than The Penguin. Episode 8 broke me. I saw it coming, and it still hit me because of the acting
Court of Owls is in this universe I swear it was kind mentioned in a way in the batman but oz further entertained that theory for me
Story wise had to kill Vic.
Where was the court of owls teased
@@gidthaillest in the court room itself with various owl shaped curtain cut outs in the back plus Oz makes several references in the show to higher up politicians that all get together and control the city , he sais it in his speech to the gangs in ep 6 and he kinda references ot when hes talking to the councilman in ep 8 "id like to meet some of those friends of yours"
@ that’d be dope love the court of owls story. I’m still skeptical but could be could be.
It would be interesting if the Batman universe went Batman movie, penguin show, batman 2, zaz show, Batman 3, mad hatter show, and so on.
They are both evil. They can both catch The Bathands.
I knew it was coming the moment Vic didn't go meet that girl in the airport.
Finally a villain can be a villain again
