I originally thought Dr. Rush was going to be set up as mad hatter. There is so many interesting things you could do with mad hatter and honestly I think it would fit pretty well in this universe
No matter who Matt Reeves picks Mr. Freeze, Clayface, Court of Owls it's gonna be fantastic. I'm more invested in The Batman Saga than the cinematic universes. Matt Reeves is cooking.
As of right now I totally agree. Don’t get me wrong I am immensely excited for the DCU, but so far the Matt reeves universe has given 2 amazing projects, the DCU is still an unknown and the mcu is great but it’s last 4 years have definitely been far more inconsistent.
@@PhoenixFandom Honestly I'm sick of cinematic universes. DC just needs to focus on standalone films and animation. I like James Gunn but I'm too exhausted with cinematic universes to care about the DCU.
@@callmejacob3234 yea i agree just look at mcu its become a complete parody of itself they have no idea what to do anymore they're jumping ship constantly and have to change all of their plans every time a movie flops at the box office. If they ended at endgame it wouldve been an incredible victory lap, but they couldnt do that because the mouse demanded more money. This is why sagas are much better because after it ends it cant be milked without being ruined even if thats what the studio wants take a look at nolans trology and the lotr movies.
mr. freeze. such a melancholy character who deals with loss just like batman but does so in the opposite way. plus all the blue would be a nice contrast to how red the first film was
I was literally...........just..............thinking the same thing about the color pallete. All of Batman 1 had these warm red/orange hues and saturations. It would be great to just do a 180 and do the sequel with a stronger colder/blue contrast. Go ahead and throw in the penguin and a new Iceberg Lounge etc with Mr. Freeze and it all fits in really well. Even the Court of Owls could fit into it to some extent (although, the court of owls could literally fit into any color palette situation really.) I do think it's the way to go. It gives the movie a strong unique identity separated from a lot of the other Batman movies. We all love the joker and Two-Face etc, but they can wait. And to be honest, I might not even use Two-Face at all. While the Two-Face persona was only in a little bit of Dark Knight, Nolan did an incredible job overall with the character and borrowed heavily from the Long Halloween. I really don't think you can do much better than that. I would move on from that if I were Reeves. Stick with Joker and some other villains for the 3rd film.
Mr. Freeze is the villain that proves if he can change Gotham City or not. He is a person who continues to choose violence knowing he is more husbands and fathers like him when he has other options. Batman must prove why Mr. Freeze is wrong.
I never understood people saying killer croc wouldn’t work in this universe. Look at the version from Azzerello’s joker graphic novel. He’s just a big dude with a skin condition. Sometimes he’s also a cannibal. In that story he’s essentially joker’s muscle. I don’t think that’s out of the realms of possibility considering joker’s disfigurement.
That’s a great point, perhaps I had too simplistic of a view of it. I’ll have to check out azzarellos joker graphic novel as I have not yet read that. Thanks for the recommendation!
Because people take Matt Reeves out of context. Matt said he's open to fantastical elements but he'll never go fully fantastical. Villains like Mr. Freeze, Clayface, and Killer Croc can happen. But don't expect Gentleman Ghost or Solomon Grundy.
If The Penguin is going into Politics then Court of Owls makes the most sense. Maybe Rush will turn into HugoStrange / Scarecrow and he’ll play a big part in breaking out Sofia.
To me, especially with the quote from Matt Reeves, The Batman Part II seems like a Court of Owls or Hush film which I would be super excited about. I do believe Harvey Dent will probably make an appearance as well. Something that crossed my mind recently is that even though I always thought that the Court of Owls would sort of have to be the third film, if they end up being the second one, Bruce would sort of think he solved a big portion of Gotham's corruption and then thats when you can sort of bring in the chaos from the Joker or Harvey or others which would serve as an internal conflict as he realizes the cities suffering isn't ever really going to slow down.
Matt Reeves is doing a Batman Universe for Adults, i think it would be cool if most villains got their own series like The Penguin, give more depth into the characters stories 🎬💯
A grounded Mr. Freeze would be AMAZING. couple spitball ideas that could work: - the “Bliss” drug from ‘The Penguin’ is this Scarecrow’s fear toxin, however in this universe it is developed by Dr. Fries at the behest of the Court of Owls. either intentionally or unintentionally, in high doses the drug causes an adverse reaction in your blood when exposed to low temperatures. because of a particularly harsh winter in Gotham, coupled with the intermittent blackouts caused by the flood, the city experiences a drastic spike in hypothermia deaths. but because it’s mostly happening in the drug-ridden slums, nobody particularly cares. - the Talons use this to their advantage, killing members of Gotham’s elite by injecting them with a high dose of the drug coupled with a cryogenic compound (could be a fun twist on the “freeze ray”). what are their motives? idk, I haven’t thought that much about it. but their long game is to induce a city wide panic amongst bliss users like in Batman Begins - Dr. Fries, for his part, has accidentally been exposed to a high dose himself, and thus has to wear a heated suit to keep himself from being exposed to the winter cold (see what i did there?). his motives for working for the Owls are the same as in the comics: he needs to do so in order to save his comatose wife. maybe the Owls have him slaving away in an unheated chamber or something. - in the end, his confrontation with Batman is a thematic parallel where he has to learn to let go of her, while Batman has to learn to let go of his parents - 44 Below (the ‘club within the club’ at Iceberg Lounge) is named for Fries. he seems like the ‘big boss’ pulling the strings of Gotham’s underbelly to Batman, but the reveal that he’s actually a puppet for the Owls comes at the end it’s a half baked idea, for sure, but i think it could be fun
@@mateoedwin don’t need to see him as 2 Face imo. Could explore the Harvey Dent character more. If they’re only doing 3 films, I’d rather see Scarecrow/Freeze/Hugo Strange/Court of Owls/Hush before him
I think Harvey Dent (Two-Face) is gonna be a good guy but then something happens to make him Two-Face. I think Harvey is gonna go after Penguin legal wise and Penguin is then gonna hire someone to attack him while he was testifying against Penguin. Causing Harvey to become Two-Face. I also think Two-Face will start another Gang-war against Penguin. This would have Batman and the newly found Robin fight the gang war. I hope Robin is going to be in it.
I honestly am so sad that this is only a 3 film Saga, this feels like prime MCU where I will watch every film, even if there's 10. I wanna see Matt Reeve's take on every Batman villian, heck even superheroes. I genuinely think the Court of owls should be the final boss, the Thanos of this story which everything builds towards.
Of course it comes down to the desire of Matt reeves and Pattinson and whether or not they would want to go past 3 but if these movies and shows continue to be successful I think it is very possible it could go past 3. WB is desperate to make money, and I do not think they would limit them to only 3 if the next 2 make them a billion dollars a piece or close to it.
First, James Gunn said there was no joker show in talks. They need to just make this whole thing a TV show that’s several seasons long so we can have ALL the possibilities. Have a major villain be the villain of the season then weave in some smaller villains Major: Scarecrow, The Court, Hush, Prof. Pyg, Two Face, Hugo Strange, Freeze, Black Mask, Mad Hatter, Bane, Joker Smaller: Anarky, Ventriloquist, Zsaz, Shiva, Deadshot, Firefly, Calendar Man, Maxie Zeus Hire the Penguin writers It’ll be a hit
I wouldn’t mind using tv more however it does seem like WB only wants Batman on the big screen as they need the money Batman movies generate lol. I agree thought that you would be able to do a lot more story wise and really build out this universe mostly due to the significant more screen time you’re allowed.
@@PhoenixFandomright. WB would want to make more off of movies which of course is the obvious move BUT it also doesn’t seem like they know what to do with Batman which is weird? Think about all the Batman-less shows over the years. (That may or may not be WB’s fault, I’m lacking on my knowledge of how that goes honestly) but i just think a TV show like this while we’re getting the DCU Batman being on the big screen would work so well, but here’s to hoping 🤷🏻♂️
I would also says penguin & Mr freeze as well because one penguin is still around gotham, & two also because since gotham takes place at winter this time Mr freeze is the only new villain who would make sense for the batman part 2, especially since penguin could be a winter villain two even if he’s not a ice man, penguins love snow two.
It has to thematically tie into Selena getting Sofia out of prison so it’s probably crane/scarecrow and then the parallel of that to Batman and his villian.
If Black mask is the villain of the batman 2, I will honestly be so happy. Such an underrated villain that would also serve as a great rival for the penguin.
I dont like Mr. freeze unless theyre able to make him grounded and not some goofy comic book villian. Scarecrow in Batman Begins was insanely menacing. And I think hes easily the most underrated Batman villian😌 I hope they make him the main villian going forward.
Maybe will see some frozen bodies turning up in Gotham who are part of Victor Fries experiments to fine tune the process of freezing his wife until there is a cure for her condition
I think harvey dent as a character would be ideal, if we get bruce wayne character development harvey dent would be an ideal choice and they could build him up for his turn as two face in the 3rd movie
You could possibly combine certain villains into one character. For example you could combine Clayface, Professor pig & Hush together. Make Tommy Elliot a former failed actor who makes his appearance look and act like Bruce Wayne, and you can have him tear apart and then put back together his victims.
I have a good feeling it will be scarecrow just because we saw the glove and the mask in the background in the penguin and that would only make sense for him to be the main villain and that would be dope
I am sick of Joker and Harley Quinn no more of them, but setting Penguin as DC kingpin is a good ideal. Have him the main villain in two more films but set Mr Freeze up in the next film, and Two Face in the third film will be a great ideal. Also do think Matt Reeves wants Scarecrow as a major player to but he well probably be the main villian in The Penguin 2 if they make it.
In my opinion, court of owls would not make sense because Carmine Falcone was behind the corrupt elites in the first film. Hush in my opinion it is a copy of Black Mask (same back story and motivations).
Keep in mind that they have an Arkham series for the reeves universe in development as well. Given that the batman takes place a week after the penguin, some characters that need more time to develop may be better suited to that series instead (for example, even if Harvey dent is introduced in the second movie , his transformation to two face may be completed in the Arkham series along with whatever scarecrow like thing they're cooking with Julian Rush ).
It doesn't matter who were the villains are as we know is we're going to have a good performance. Finish off a little bit with the The court of owls going against Batman. Including Deathstroke another character who has not been in the movies in a long time The last time we saw Deathstroke was in the TV series of The arrow crossover event.
Would love for the villain in the sequel to be Scarecrow. It can also introduce some allies like Harvey Dent, Lucius Fox, Silver St. Cloud and Crispus Allen. Maybe Gordon can mention his daughter in passing. For the 3rd film, it has to be Court of Owls!
@@thxchucky yes we have had Scarecrow before but not as the main villain, I think this Batman universe would be perfect for him. I don’t think we’ve had Court of Owls in a movie yet.
I mean it kinda seemed like Julian is already leaning into scarecrow in the last episode of Penguin with Oz's mom. Mr. Freeze would be pretty sweet tho and would fit well with the winter setting.
I would love a black mass and Batman clashing heads so he hires deathstroke to take him out but I don’t think this Batman is seasoned enough to fight deathstroke he would be destroyed easily by deathstroke and if they nerf him then why use a powerful character so early
I don't think Julian Rush is going to be the Scarecrow, anymore than Eve Karlo was meant to be Clayface. Or for that matter, Mr. Reese was meant to be the Riddler in The Dark Knight. These are homages, not new versions of the character. Julian is going to be Julian, his own character who'll follow his own path. The Easter eggs were just that, not foreshadows of anything to come. At least, that's my impression. I could be wrong. But I think the Reeves-Verse is taking pains to avoid the fan-service post-credit teaser mentality of Marvel. Not that there was anything wrong with that stuff. It just got abused toward the end, when Marvel became all teasers and no delivery.
Matt Reeves is not sloppy with the first film or the Penguin series. There is a reason we saw that scarecrow glove and mask in Dr. Julian Rush’s office. Either he is Jonathan Crane or shanked his name or is connected to the real Scarecrow and the drug manufacturing. Also the note Rush hand delivered to Sophia from Selena Kyle/Catwoman could make for another miniseries for Catwoman and Scarecrow as the villain. Either way we will see Catwoman and Sophia again and Scarecrow also. Penguin will play a major role in the second film and I’m still on the fence about Hush, because Reeves is such a big fan of his or Court of Owls. Penguin was a 10/10 for me. I think we’re in for a fun ride no matter what.
I wanna see prof pyg not as a main villain but def a side villian that messes with batmans "no kill rule". Also imagine and opening scene with pyd singing and cuting up a body and batman takes him out.
I Wanna see some new Villains in live action, Clayface or Mad Hatter. Or better versions of past characters like Mr Freeze, Poison Ivy or a better Killer Croc. Scarecrow we’ve already seen, Matt Reeves would create an amazing Scarecrow but I want to see better new versions of characters
Would love a story about bats being hunted by deathstroke who has been hired by an unidentified third party which is the court of owls who see Batman as a threat to them
Right now my picks are Jim Gordon's son James, Mr. Pyg, Hush, or Black Mask. HBO might be wiser to do a series about Freeze before making him a main villain in a film. Freeze has such a complex and tragic backstory, there needs to be a major focus on that so we can understand his moral code behind crime in this universe, before him and the Bat face off. If the fan reaction to The Penguin is any indication, excitement for a film between Freeze and Batman would be huge after a Freeze solo series if it is good. The villains I mentioned in the beginning of this post have never been given the cinematic treatment and don't have a complex enough backstory for a series, so it might be a worthwhile risk. James and Pyg would really fit into this universe.
i personally want mr.freeze for the same reasons you mentioned but i think itll be the court of owls and when hell breaks loose in the end well batman vs joker in the batman 3
Mr Freeze mainly, but I would love a go at poison ivy or clayface. I find hush & Court of owls a bit bland, but at least either would be new. As long as it’s not Joker, Bane, Scarecrow, or Two-face I’m happy.
Thank you! Is there anything in particular you would like to see in a video. I am sure I will be talking about insomniacs spider-man soon, but I will be honest I am not sure if there is anything I can say about SSKTJL that has not already been said by every other youtuber. Loved the concept but ultimately was left underwhelmed. What did you think of the game?
Yep, I wholeheartedly agree. I was considering making a video about comics that may influence the Batman 2, and No man’s land is definitely the one that I would talk about first. Of course it would not be a 1 for 1 adaptation as this universe does not contain many of the characters from the book, but the setting itself is very similar.
Clayface but not the fantastical mud monster version the old version where he just wears disguises, seems like a fit in this universe especially since the film has more detective work than other iterations
If there is any truth to the rumors about a clayface show in the matt reeves universe, I think that is definitely the way the character would depicted in this universe and I think it would be really interesting.
I thought hush was the guy that played the riddler double who had that 12 gauge at the end !! And the funeral scene when he said don’t he know Bruce Wayne
I originally had thought that mad hatter was the most likely next step for him as well but all of these scare crow Easter eggs have me thinking differently. Would really like to see mad hatter though. Would fit in this universe pretty well i feel
I kind of doubt (yet extremely yearn for) that more supernatural/powered villains will be present, maybe with a realistic twist, but Matt Reeves said this was a crime epic trilogy. The Brave and the Bold film would be great to finally get the powered villains right atleast!
Yep, I’ve seen a lot of people start to get frustrated with reeves and his desire to not use any fantastical elements. Which I understand but the wait for the crazier villains will not be long as like you said, I believe the brave and the bold will fully embrace that version of Batman. We already have Clayface set to appear in creature commandos!!
I feel like people are expecting a young Dent. I wouldn't be surprised if Reeves cast an older already disfigured Dent who may or may not already be crazy. Reeves needs to go in a different direction than the Nolanverse. We had Bruce the playboy with Nolan. This Bruce is going to be the Philanthropist "White Knight" during the day. I feel like the Penguin may have set the bar too high. But I have high hopes.
Totally agree with your point about Bruce, would love to see more of him being a philanthropist. Additionally I would not mind an older actor. Honestly I saw people suggesting Josh Hartnett and that casting has just stuck with me as exactly what I want lol. Totally would be find with someone different but I want to see that.
Professor Pyg with a similar storyline or at least sub-plot to Arkham Knight. The character would fit well within this universe and lend itself to the neo-noir feeling of the first movie.
In terms of villains that fit this universe it could be argued that professor pyg is #1 on that list. I believe it has been discussed that the Batman 2 is another murder mystery (not 100% sure on that though). If that’s the case Pyg makes a lot of sense. I should have put him In the video.
-Trailer premise: Monday, A Friendsgiving party for elites. The mayor, press, *Captain* Gordon and PD, Bruce, Oz, and Hugo Strange mingle. Strange has been in charge of Arkham for 10 years. Oz discretely plots a run for mayor. Strange wants to support him in exchange for maintaining power in AA. "Tough-on-crime" Oz seeks Bruce's support, empathizes with Bruce's childhood loss. Assassins wearing owl masks target Batman nightly. What are these assassins after? What are Hugo's intentions with AA? Will Oz manipulate Gotham and survive? -Twist 1: Ill-equipped to cope with his father's passing, the late mayor's son from TB1 had unalived himself in the weeks between films. Bruce empathizes with his choice and regrets being unable to help. Is being alive equal to living? -Twist 2: The mayor publicly supports Oz turning his life around. She promotes him as the "symbol" for which the dark pasts of Gotham City and its citizens can aspire. She has no idea he's a villain. Others have been convincingly blamed. Yet, Oz intends to destroy her soon. Is one's public visibility all that matters in the end? -Twist 3: Thursday, Thanksgiving Day Parade. The assassins are not 1 or 2, but mysteriously numerous. They orchestrate an attack, use multiple random citizens as hostages and shields merely to delete them and manipulate Batman in battle, going for swift effective deletion; exhausting, wounding, and nearly ending Batman. Out of sight, he captures one who reveals he is a "Talon of the highest order", declares Batman a "cancerous anomoly" before self-deleting to deliberately frame Batman for murder with a previously stolen Batman blade. Can a one-man war be realistic for long? -Twist 4: Oz, now uneasy about the assassins, is informed by Strange that he orders the Talons. As long as he reigns over Arkham, the Talons will serve to delete Oz's enemies which his street gangs cannot. Oz is impressed, grateful, and suspicious. Can a master manipulator out-play everyone forever? -Twist 5 (yes twist 5): Bruce, too injured to fight, suspects Oz will either run for mayor and/or will have these assassins delete her. He throws a fundraiser for her at an 8th grade "Future of Gotham" science fair. Heightened security. Alfred is tasked with covert surveillance while Gordon oversees security. The winner is honor student and track athlete Ricky Gray with his advanced aqueduct experiment that could revolutionize water purification, distribution, cost, and safety. Alfred informs Bruce that a Talon attack occurred a mile away. Bruce, too injured can't go. A second occurs 2 miles away. Bruce decides to go anyway. But Alfred dissuades him. Oz's gang creates misdirection at the fair before attacking the mayor. Bruce can't get close in time. One of the mayor's security takes bullets for her while others subdue several firing gunmen. As the room clears Bruce looks up to see the mayor alive. They all turn to see Ricky kneeling in despair beside his mortally wounded parents. Is "perserverance" enough? -Twist 6: Oz is interviewed in the media. He is outraged about insinuations that the mayor's demise could have been beneficial to him, and further outraged that had she departed some would sooner focus on him than her. He fully supports the mayor, exclaims he doesn't want to be mayor, and declares war against all gangs be they masked or unmasked. "The criminally insane belong in Arkham, the criminally organized belong to the justice department, and the fate of Gotham belongs to us normal people. End of story." Can a beloved criminal mastermind truly be stopped without breaking all the rules? -Twist 7: Oz informs Hugo he has every intention of running for mayor when the time is right while enabling his gang to succeed and feeding subjects to him at Arkham. Hugo is impressed, grateful, yet suspicious. Hugo sends a text with just "2" to a number listed under "J". -Twist 8 (yes there are a lot of twists, get used to it, if its dope its dope): Bruce meets Ricky. They have a conversation directly opposite to Hugo and Oz. Bruce and Ricky care more about others than themselves and wish to be of service. Yet, they both find that impossible to do surrounded by filth, chaos, and loss. Bruce offers to help by giving him a residence and the resources he needs to get the best therapy and to realize his aqueduct concept to save Gotham's infrastructure. Is altruism a foolish doom, or can its light outlive our darkness? -Twist 9: Oz, Gordon, the commissioner, and the mayor have a cordial meeting with Hugo at Arkham to discuss Arkham's contribution moving forward. There are dozens of law enforcement surrounding them. Everyone's on the same page. The mayor leaves feeling relieved to have this strong team supporting her in these paranoid times. Everyone's relatively happy. A one-shot follows Hugo leave the meeting room, walk to a separate elevator alone in silence except for Oz laughing with the mayor in the distance, Hugo takes the elevator down to B2. All one-shot. Once there, he presses a combination that opens a secret door and exits the elevator. We follow behind as his echoed footsteps are gradually accompanied by groans, whimpers, sobs, rustling, and agony. He enters a room where a veiled doctor sits in front of a computer screen. "Perfect timing, Professor." Hugo responds "Show me." The doctor spins the screen which reveals a terrifying masked figure wearing a vintage suit. The mask is similar to the Talons. "Where do we stand?, the figure asks" "Atop Gotham... Shall we begin?" *Act 3 happens (i can't just think up everything but I do think this story is the best way forward for the Reeves-verse, but I'll leave you good reader with one last thing.) Twist 10: By the end, Oz, the mayor, and Ricky are alive. The Talons are all defeated by the combined assets of Batman, Ricky (in the cave analyzing Gotham's structural layouts and real-time social media analysis), Alfred (operation mgr), and Gordon (capturing defeated talons getting loads of credit). Hugo self-deletes when he destroys Arkham to cover up the extent of the corruption. Oz got closer to the mayor and endeared the city but didn't gain nearly as much as he wanted - now intends paramount vendetta against Batman. No one but Bruce suspects Hugo of having other accomplices. Along the way, Joker helped Batman realize "The Talons are no gang and certainly didn't come from Arkham. Maybe they're karma." -Mid-credits scene: Dr Julian Rush enters his home in Gotham. He calls someone. "Hi. I just got back... So far, so good... *chuckles* Yeah, I'm ok..." He looks over what appears to be a Scarecrow glove and mask on his desk with unbothered familiarity. "Don't be scared. Things are... really crazy around here, but everything's gonna be fine. Just... stay with her, don't go anywhere, especially not here. Not now... I'll see you in a few days..." A figure appears behind Julian and quietly takes the glove from the desk. "The professor trusted me above all. With him gone, Gotham wi---" Lightning flashes and he sees the figure's silhouette on the wall in front of him. "... Sofia?... I love---" The sound of a brutal stab from behind. The voice on the phone cries out "Julian! Julian! Julian!" The figure takes the phone and says "Julian isn't home right now. But soon, you'll be. Don't be scared. You just need your medicine." He hangs up, leaving her screaming. He grabs the mask and the screen cuts to black.
Id like Mr Freeze and Black Mask but I'd imagine we'll get Hush and Penguin with a good Two face than for the 3rd it would be bad two face and the court of Owls.
I think people assume what makes Freeze interesting is his powers, his freeze gun, his weird-science transformation. But the fact is, none of that actually makes him the beloved character he is. It's his psychology that people respond to. Take that away, and he's just a gimmick. But even without the sub-zero suit, the super-strength, the freeze gun, even if he's just a guy on a revenge mission who freezes his victims in bathtubs full of liquid nitrogen, or locks them in commercial freezers, he's a perfect villain for Reeves' Batman. No science fiction necessary. Though if we think about it, the Reeves-verse isn't a stranger to science fiction. Those contact lens cameras don't exist in real life. And Drops is a deliberately absurd concept for a street drug, for the simple reason that it'd kinda be too grim and serious, even for this film, to just have Penguin running a meth lab, and using eye drops to get high is actually kinda funny. Anyway, now I list those two things together, I wonder if there's a thematic unity. Both involve eyes. Knowing Reeves, there's some kind of point to that.
I think Joker will have an end credit scene at the end of the second movie setting him up as the main villain in the third movie. There will likely be some events that take place in either the second movie or whatever follow up show that set him as the villain for the third. I believe he’ll get a scene or two in the movie that show his ability to manipulate people around him and outside events but I really doubt he’ll take center stage til the third film. It would do any other villains a disservice for them to do so so early in the franchise. Second will likely be Setting up a more physical/ideological challenge -Deathstroke, bane Prometheus- an “Anti-Batman”. Or Mr freeze as a personification of Bruce’s fear off loss. alongside a fresh, charismatic, radical Harvey Dent , white knight “trying to crack down on vigilantism. Suggesting it worsens crime rather than fixes it, playing directly on the themes and outcomes of the previous film, Opposing and being manipulated by penguin or possibly even joker. Challenging his Bruce Wayne political persona directly with his mission as Batman.Fully realizing the Dark Knight aspect of Batman’s character. As he’s also trying bring up a robin trying to teach them not to go down a path of vengeance as he did ñ, learning by teaching despite his doubts simultaneously furthering his fear of loss. Mirroring the themes and of the finale of penguin. Perhaps Dent fails or succeeds in someway and it leads into his series. Maybe we’ll get to see joker as a more chaotic and calculated version of what penguin was in his show. Corrupting and controlling things from his cell in Arkham. The closing scene of the show being the opening scene of the third movie as we see dent get burned and begin his arc as 2 face. Penguin furthering his foolthold or even running for political office and joker getting out of Arkham. Showing Batman made the right choice in enlisting help but also showing that he may not actually be helping the city just changing it. Phew 😅 that was a rant
Wow thanks for such a great and detailed comment. I really love your idea for Harvey and story wise it makes a lot of sense. Especially with how crime is getting worse and due to the events of the first film, it would appear Batman has had a negative effect on the city
Id like Mr Freeze and Black Mask but I'd imagine we'll get Hush and Penguin with a good Two face than for the 3rd it would be bad two face and the court of Owlsm

Hush many confuse like another villain more and he is the definitive menace, even more dangerous that Joker, Its material to end and is material to win batman in all aspects like in canon version, he is the only villain in entire gallery where he is right and not Bruce, but this is for another time the explanation If part 2 is no the end I prefer that give an honor place to hush in the end of saga like something more that joker, believe me, I know what I say Pd:Hush is not a version of riddler 2.0 hush is, in Paul Dini words, the anti-batman
What if Mr freeze was just a regular who had advanced knowledge on cryogenics but use his knowledge for what is proceeded as terroristic acts but Come to find out its for his wife
Two Face should have a season where we see his origin and Batman is in it. Harvey would be the first actual friend Bruce makes after he decides to not only be Batman from now on. We see their friendship bloom which makes all the better when Harvey becomes Two Face. This is Harvey’s story so we can’t have Batman constantly showing up. The story would need to have more Bruce scenes than Batman scenes. We see Harvey slowly become more unstable before and after his face is messed up. Bruce sees that Harvey is loosing it so he tries to help him both as Bruce and Batman. And I think it would be good to have Harvey becoming Two Face be Bruce’s fault like it was in Arkham Shadow and Caped Crusader. If this franchise gets a second trilogy than we need to have Robin in the second trilogy and it would have to be Jason because he would fit in perfectly with this darker universe without him needing to be made more edgy. And he’s my favorite Robin and they ruined him on Titans

Even the Court of Owls could fit into it to some extent (although, the court of owls could literally fit into any color palette situation really.)
I do think it's the way to go.
1. Scarecrow 2. Mr Freeze 3. Two-Face
i really was hoping for cilian murphy scarecrow as a main villain in the nolan trilogy but alas he was always sidelined
Like Mr. Hammer from Arkham City?
Killer croc a stupid ass villain for this universe
@@PhoenixFandomif you love penguin then you will love joker but be warned it’s more disturbing than penguin since joker is purely evil
I would love to see Hugo Strange. I think he would be an excellent villain or side villain.
That’s another great one that definitely fits in this world. Should’ve included him in this video
Matt Reeves is doing a Batman Universe for Adults, i think it would be cool if most villains got their own series like The Penguin, give more depth into the characters stories 🎬💯
I agree! Tv Series just allow for so much exploration into these characters that they simply do not have the time to do in a movie.
A grounded Mr. Freeze would be AMAZING. couple spitball ideas that could work:
- the “Bliss” drug from ‘The Penguin’ is this Scarecrow’s fear toxin, however in this universe it is developed by Dr.
- the Talons use this to their advantage, killing members of Gotham’s elite by injecting them with a high dose of the drug coupled with a cryogenic compound (could be a fun twist on the “freeze ray”). what are their motives? idk, I haven’t thought that much about it. but their long game is to induce a city wide panic amongst bliss users like in Batman Begins
- Dr.
- in the end, his confrontation with Batman is a thematic parallel where he has to learn to let go of her, while Batman has to learn to let go of his parents
- 44 Below (the ‘club within the club’ at Iceberg Lounge) is named for Fries. he seems like the ‘big boss’ pulling the strings of Gotham’s underbelly to Batman, but the reveal that he’s actually a puppet for the Owls comes at the end
it’s a half baked idea, for sure, but i think it could be fun
Having Harvey being a good guy in the second movie and turning bad in the third would hit the audience a lot harder
Or have him stay good throughout until the end of the final film. Remember this is only year 2 of Batman.
@ but then will never see two face which would stink so why wait for the end of the third film?
I would kill for a deathstroke, how cool would that be.
Would absolutely be awesome. Hopefully he shows up soon in this universe or the DCU
Deathstroke is Dick Grayson's nemesis so Robin would pretty much have to exist
Really enjoyed this. Newly subscribed.
Thanks for checking out the channel, I am glad you enjoyed!
I’m SO GLAD they not rushing in a sequel. They crank out movies like taffy now a days, I’m glad reeves wants to take his time and get it RIGHT
I would love a Mad-Hatter movie. Robert Pattison's batman tied up to a chair and going lucid like in the Arkham Games.
the visuals would be crazy
That would be awesome and also a great way to explore deeper into Batman's mind.
First, James Gunn said there was no joker show in talks. They need to just make this whole thing a TV show that’s several seasons long so we can have ALL the possibilities. Have a major villain be the villain of the season then weave in some smaller villains
Major: Scarecrow, The Court, Hush, Prof. Pyg, Two Face, Hugo Strange, Freeze, Black Mask, Mad Hatter, Bane, Joker
Smaller: Anarky, Ventriloquist, Zsaz, Shiva, Deadshot, Firefly, Calendar Man, Maxie Zeus
Hire the Penguin writers
It’ll be a hit
Tv show will have budget restraints and movies are the superior medium anyways, batman is too big for a tv show
I wouldn’t mind using tv more however it does seem like WB only wants Batman on the big screen as they need the money Batman movies generate lol. I agree thought that you would be able to do a lot more story wise and really build out this universe mostly due to the significant more screen time you’re allowed.
damn completely forget about Anarky, you just brought back childhood memories
@@rjk537 You can make way more more off of TV Shows
@@PhoenixFandomright.
Welcome back love to see it
Thanks for checking out the channel again!
I loved the movie and its interpretation just sad we can't see the Penguin and Riddler duo. My overall favorite villain duo
never say never
I would also says penguin & Mr freeze as well because one penguin is still around gotham, & two also because since gotham takes place at winter this time Mr freeze is the only new villain who would make sense for the batman part 2, especially since penguin could be a winter villain two even if he’s not a ice man, penguins love snow two.
It has to thematically tie into Selena getting Sofia out of prison so it’s probably crane/scarecrow and then the parallel of that to Batman and his villian.
Bro WHERE have you been 😂
Just been working a lot lol. Hope I am back for good though!
Penguin and two face are the main villains in part 3 where penguin is mayor and causes Harvey to become two face
I am on my knees begging for Scarecrow as the main villain
It Is time for Scarecrow to be taken seriously
BATMAN 2:BLACK MASK & FALSE FACE SOCIETY
BATMAN 3:COURT OF OWLS & TALON
BATMAN 4:PENGUIN & DEATHSTROKE
If Black mask is the villain of the batman 2, I will honestly be so happy. Such an underrated villain that would also serve as a great rival for the penguin.
I dont like Mr. freeze unless theyre able to make him grounded and not some goofy comic book villian.
Scarecrow in Batman Begins was insanely menacing. And I think hes easily the most underrated Batman villian😌 I hope they make him the main villian going forward.

@@PhoenixFandom No Problem !
Well, shit. Welcome back!
Thank you! Always an honor to have you check out a video. Hope you're doing good!
i think by end of batman 2 we get dent getting acid splashed in the face by penguin to lead into a two--face limited series
You could possibly combine certain villains into one character.
For example you could combine Clayface, Professor pig & Hush together.
Make Tommy Elliot a former failed actor who makes his appearance look and act like Bruce Wayne, and you can have him tear apart and then put back together his victims.
I'll go another direction.
Black Mask.
It would so awesome if we got a Matt Reeves Joker show. Penguin was phenomenal, so I have nothing but faith in Matt Reeves
Yep, that is where my thoughts are as well. No matter what show Reeves wants to do next, I have full faith it will be great!
I have a good feeling it will be scarecrow just because we saw the glove and the mask in the background in the penguin and that would only make sense for him to be the main villain and that would be dope
If it ends up being scarecrow I’d be super excited
@@PhoenixFandom me to they could honestly do anything like there is so many possibilities and the court of the owls would be badass to
my goats return
I Trust Matt Reeves with Batman and his rouges gallery 🐐
Scarecrow would be great in this Reeves Batman universe.
Honestly hoping it's Freeze. Victor is such a fascinating character, and he's due for a big screen appearance again.
For the 3rd film, it has to be Court of Owls!
we need a live action villain that hasn't been done yet.
@@thxchucky yes we have had Scarecrow before but not as the main villain, I think this Batman universe would be perfect for him.
I don’t think we’ve had Court of Owls in a movie yet.

@@thxchucky let’s agree to disagree
They need to introduce Harvey in Batman 2 then give him his own show where he turns into two-face like how they gave Penguin his own show
I think that would be a great idea
I think they will. He will be apart of the “corruption purge” committee.
Welcome back to TH-cam
Thank you so much, I appreciate you checking out the channel again!

Will also add those to the list. I have loved both those shows, especiailly my adventures with superman!
I wanna see prof pyg not as a main villain but def a side villian that messes with batmans "no kill rule". Also imagine and opening scene with pyd singing and cuting up a body and batman takes him out.
I'd love to see The Penguin hire Deathstroke to hunt Batman.
I think that would be really cool! Even if it is not Deathstroke, another DC mercenary would be really cool
I would love a Penguin vs Bruce Wayne and Batman vs Scarecrow. Joker will be Batman’s mind fuck.
I think it would be really cool to see Bruce and penguin interact. Perhaps at a gala or some city event.
Penguin, Dent, Court of Owls hinted for part 3 and Scarecrow.
I really want to see Hugo Strange...and the scarecrow in the same movie
Would be a really awesome pairing
Manbat would be unreal, Black mask and Professor Pyg would be awesome as well
I Wanna see some new Villains in live action, Clayface or Mad Hatter. Or better versions of past characters like Mr Freeze, Poison Ivy or a better Killer Croc.
Scarecrow we’ve already seen, Matt Reeves would create an amazing Scarecrow but I want to see better new versions of characters
Tbh, Scarecrow wasn’t great in the Nolan trilogy.
I would love another Scarecrow.
100% Freeze
I wanna see Batman 2 be rated R that’s my only hard ask
It’s very possible especially with how dark the penguin got.
I’m praying to see Professor Pyg, even just as a secondary villain
It definitely fits for this universe and you could make an insanely creepy film with pyg.
Mr Freeze mainly, but I would love a go at poison ivy or clayface. I find hush & Court of owls a bit bland, but at least either would be new. As long as it’s not Joker, Bane, Scarecrow, or Two-face I’m happy.
a quadrilogy or pentalogy would be dope

We need you to talk about SSKTJL and Spider-man 2. And Welcome back
This is sort of off topic, but I feel like Matt Reeves is really building up to a No Man's Land or Arkham City esque adaptation for the third film
Whatever it is, I hope they turn it into a musical 🤞🤞
I’ve heard if you want to ensure your sequel is a box office success, a musical is the only way to go 🎵
@@PhoenixFandom very true
I thought hush was the guy that played the riddler double who had that 12 gauge at the end !! And the funeral scene when he said don’t he know Bruce Wayne
What movie is that when the joker is talking through the glass?
It is a deleted scene from the batman. It is available on TH-cam!
I think Julian Rush is gonna be Mad Hatter cause he deals with hypnotism and not fear toxins. The red light thing seems pretty Tetch-like
I originally had thought that mad hatter was the most likely next step for him as well but all of these scare crow Easter eggs have me thinking differently. Would really like to see mad hatter though. Would fit in this universe pretty well i feel
Black mask, Killer crock, poison ivy, the al ghuls , deathstroke, Hugo strange, bane idk I want to see all of them
Mr freeze 🥶
I kind of doubt (yet extremely yearn for) that more supernatural/powered villains will be present, maybe with a realistic twist, but Matt Reeves said this was a crime epic trilogy. The Brave and the Bold film would be great to finally get the powered villains right atleast!
but I do want Reeves to tackle guys like Mr Freeze and Clayface!
@@PhoenixFandom agree. Could really lean into the Se7en feel of the first movie.
Shall we begin?"
*Act 3 happens (i can't just think up everything but I do think this story is the best way forward for the Reeves-verse, but I'll leave you good reader with one last thing.)
Twist 10: By the end, Oz, the mayor, and Ricky are alive. Maybe they're karma."
-Mid-credits scene:
Dr Julian Rush enters his home in Gotham.
That does make a lot of sense. Black mask is another great villain that I should have definitely discussed. Would be a really fun rival for OZ
☠️Cornelius Stirk and Doctor Death☠️
What a duo that would be. If some people thought the first movie had some creepy moments, that duo would terrify people 😂
Mad Hatter would be a cool villain to see.
I would kind of like Hugo Strange and Mr Freeze to team up, where Strange forces Freeze to work for him so that he can save Nora.
Would be a phenomenal pairing. Hugo strange fits this world perfectly and definitely deserves to show up on the big screen asap
I think they should go for Mr. Freeze in the next movie. The character deserves some redemption after what they did in the Batman & Robin movie.
I agree 100%, it is such a shame that version of the character is what most of the General audience thinks of when they think of Mr.Freeze
Really hoping for Mr. Freeze
I really want them to lean into the winter and go Mr freeze Maine villain and penguin b villain
Id like Mr Freeze and Black Mask but I'd imagine we'll get Hush and Penguin with a good Two face than for the 3rd it would be bad two face and the court of Owlsm
I’m hearing scarecrow as of recent but i have a feeling its freeze

Hush many confuse like another villain more and he is the definitive menace, even more dangerous that Joker, Its material to end and is material to win batman in all aspects like in canon version, he is the only villain in entire gallery where he is right and not Bruce, but this is for another time the explanation
If part 2 is no the end I prefer that give an honor place to hush in the end of saga like something more that joker, believe me, I know what I say
Pd:Hush is not a version of riddler 2.0 hush is, in Paul Dini words, the anti-batman
What about professor Pyg? Would fit the atmosphere, creepy and eerie.
Yep, I think it would be a really cool choice and you’re 100% correct, definitely fits in this world
What if Mr freeze was just a regular who had advanced knowledge on cryogenics but use his knowledge for what is proceeded as terroristic acts but Come to find out its for his wife
D.E.I...or A Grounded Universe..to hobbl😮 any chance of certain villains
Sign me up for that. I think a Harvey dent legal show makes a lot of sense for this universe
