Friedman Amplifier's Pink Taco Demo 1

- Pink Taco 20 watt EL84 based tube amp with 3 12ax7's, single channel with series FX loop.
Demoed by Mark Day. Amp is going into a Friedman 112 speaker cab with a Celestion Lynchback speaker.
Recorded with an iPhone 5 and iM2 Tascam iphone mic attachment. Also using alloclip wide angle lens for iPhone 5.

probably one of the best sounding classic rock amps out there .
This sounds super great!. Funny how no one mentions a key element here. The Lynchback. Mainly because it doesn't have "brand acceptance" of other speakers. If it was listed as a greenback or a G12-65 but really this exact sound everyone would be commenting how great it sounded and how much they loved them.

Mark Day is a Bad Ass Player! His technique looks textbook perfect, and his timing is great. I would love to see Mark, and Gregory Kochery, from Wildwood Guitars, in California, play together.

0:30 HELL YES,that song is so much fun to play through a wicked sounding cranked Plexi tone. And by the way,those harmonics at 1:11 is actually really weird,Ed plays that with his finger on a slight angle,pointing towards yourself,over the 6th fret,try that and you'll see what I mean,it's like night and day.
This is the best sounding EL84 amp Ive ever heard! And thru a single 1x12 too! Usually they sound dark to me. Mark, always enjoy your demos! Amazing chops, and amusing too! You get to play the amazing gear! I have a Splawn QR and love this brown tone! Would you recommend the Brown Eye or the Pink Taco? Thanks!

Sounds awesome..I like the name...they should have wrapped it in pink tolex and had yellow nobs for the cheese and brown background for taco meat.

I have to ask... I notice the master is on 5 the whole way thru.. Does the amp get the tones at lesser volume since it has the gain dial, or is typical of a tube amp that has to be pushed? I usually have to play pretty quiet..
If you are referring to the MXR eq, I boost 500 and 1k.

Does this guy EVER play like "Mark Day" ?? It's great to be able to mimic other people's stuff, but developing your OWN voice is what separates the kids wanking at Guitar Center from people who can play 1 note and you know who it is. Players like Rhoads, Halen, Schenker, Beck, Montrose, Santana, Johnson, Gilmour, etc.

@@These_go_to_eleven_1959 Agreed. I want it from the amp. That amp is supposed to sound like that, which is a Modded Plexi Amp. I hope to be getting a BE-50 Deluxe, and A Friedman 4x12 Cabinet, with Greenbacks on the top, and Vintage 30's on the bottom. I already know the amp sounds amazing. It has all of the mods that Dave put in amps, over the years. I heard that Friedman Cabinet Sounds Amazing Too. I'm praying my ass off that my streetbike sells, so I can get both of them. 😀😀😎😎.....I think that the Friedman BE-50 is the best amp, and best sounding amp on the market, with all of it's tonal options, a beautiful clean channel, possibly better than Fender, and the Best Mod Plexi Sounding Amp Available To Be Bought.
