Lynchback sounded good,the low end on the Greenbacks was awesome.The v30's sounded like my kid brother plugged in his eq pedal into my rig and left it on his metal settings,sounded harsh not natural.Greenbacks!
Mark, man that 1x12 sounds pretty huge there, was thinking about grabbing a couple of those Friedman 1x12s for stereo wet cabs for w/d/w. Impressed with them in contrast to the 4x12...they could hang pretty good!
If I had to rank them, the Vintage 30 in the 112 would be the worst but the Vintage 30 in the 412 would be the best. So much cut. Thin by itself but Perfect for a dense band mix.
That was surprising, the V30 sounded much better in the 1x12 cab, kinda brittle sounding in the 4x12 the greenback sounded great, just wish they could handle a bit more power
Lynchback in the 1x12 sounded the best but a clip of it ina 4x12 would be great. There is a depth to the V30 in the 4x12 that is lacking in the 1x12 samples.
lynchback for me Mark... I am getting the PT soon hopefully... wish you did a Creamback 65, which comes with the original Friedman cab... but this was very useful despite..
I think the Lynchbacks and Greenback wins in my opinion here.. The V30 8 ohms sounds closed in and the V30 16 ohms has way to much mids around 1 - 1.5khz... Although I usually love V30 speakers..
Different voice coils. A 16ohm voice coil has thinner wire, and more winding. 8ohm has thicker wire, and less windings. No way to make them sound the same.
Mark, this Lynchback speaker is all about 80's hair metal you're so good at!! What's your thought about it? To me, it's clearly a winner by far over the other ones for this kind of tone. Very cool comparison Mark!! Do you think the brightness of the 4x12 V30s vs. the 1x12 V30 was attributed to the mic placement, impedance, or is the 4x12 just brighter sounding?

Thats how you do a sound comparison.No long pause, sounds and No talking in betreen demos.
Greenback's sounded great IMO. I think the 4x13 with V30s at 16ohms also sounded good, but still prefer the greenbacks.

The Lynch sounded the smoothest and least harsh. Most of the other ones sounded like the midrange from a cheap telephone

Wow. What a difference. Personally like the greenbacks.
The others sound either muffled by blankets or too scooped.
Greenback by a country mile. That V30 sounded so harsh to my ears and the Lynch just lacked clarity for me.
Nice. My vote is on the Greenback. Bet that sounds great with a full band. with more mids to cut through the mix.

16ohm Greenback 112cab. hands down!
I prefer the first one. But it's how they'd sound in a band situation that would clinch it. Perhaps try it with a backing track.
The 4/12 obviously has incredible cut and bass response, but the single Greenback if miked and given a nice PA treatment
probably would sound as good.

does this amp do any sort of usable clean? if you want to gig between the full-on friedman sound and a solid clean are you out of luck?
I think the 4x12 v30 was much brighter since the top speakers are points directly at camera mic. The other clips used the 1x12 that was on the ground

Lynchback is cleaner, although dark. I like it, but would probably lower bass a bit and push mids a bit.
I wonder how my new Friedman RUNT i preordered will like the GREENBACK?
Runt 50 with a well broke-in G12H30 is VH I & II all day! I run a Dr Z 1x12 with a Matchless 30; kills!

Almost all of the demos sounded good, and would really just be up to personal taste. I didn't quite like the 412 cab with V30's tho.
I cannot finally make up my mind between Lynchback and Green Back.

I don't understand what is due to the increase of high V30 16 ohms.than 8 ohm. Miking is made on a cone even if it is 4 x 12.
