How lovely! Enjoyed everything about this lesson... the flower choice, the colors, the vintage look and, as always, your skill and easy commentary. My cat Rocky and I love watching you paint. I think pansies will be my next try! Thanks!
I was given art supplies from my best friend's mother-in-law when she passed. I got windsor newton watercolors, some tubed were dried, but I still used them. I was also given Grumbacher pastels. They are lovely and no longer made.
I noticed you're doing voice-overs now which are really lovely. I still want you to do real-time because I love hearing about the rain, your dogs, chickens, etc. while you're painting! And, these are the best pansies ever--easy to follow and replicate.
I love vintage, and I love pansies! The colors are perfect. Knowing the right colors is important here, and I so admire your knowledge of colors in all things. So much to learn....thank you for all your instruction.
Your work is so great for helping beginner feel like painting. Lots of other TH-camrs are great but they can make it into too much and intimidating. Thank you. Would be lost in painting realm without you and your channel.
Thank you so much 😀 I’m so glad you find the videos unintimidating - I know what you mean about “too much” and it shouldn’t be like that, hobby painting is meant to be a hobby and fun, not a potential business! Really glad to have you on board Linda!
Sehr hübsches kleines Bild. Diese Stiefmütterchen bringen Farbe am Ende eines grauen nebligen Tages und laden zum Nachmalen ein. Merci beaucoup pour montrer.
A lovely demo today which I will be trying later on. I just wanted to tell you how thrilled I am with my new Diane Antone brushes. I practiced with them all day yesterday. They arrived in a beautiful box, and the watercolour print of poppies is an added bonus. The brushes feel great in the hand. I can't wait to see what more I can do with them. Thanks. Have a great day ~ Lorraine
Wonderful! So glad to hear that, and if you would like to leave a review on the brushes on Craftamo’s page that would be great! So glad you’re enjoying the art journey together !
It was fun to watch you paint these pansies and how the paint moved and did it's thing! They are very pretty pansies and inspirational for painting wet into wet and wet into dry too. 😊❤
What a lovely painting. That wet in wet technique resulted in such delicate flowers. Beautiful. I think I will see if I can make it work! Thank you Diane for such a helpful and relaxing video 😊
I love pansies and now that I know what a vintage painting of some flowers looks like I love that too. I have got to learn this.....sooo lovely. thanks so much, Diane for sharing this!
The 300lb Arches is my favorite paper but I have learned to like the Meeden and Baohong blocks too, mostly because of the price! I think pansies are hard but you make them look easy and inspire me to keep trying.
This is a fantastic painting, Diane. My mother had some painting framed on the wall when I was little. This would make a wonderful cup, to drink from. Thanks.
The perfect choice for such a dull day here in Toronto. I am earning for some snow to brighten things up. Alas, it doesn't look promising as the temperature is still above zero.- I am too close to Lake Ontario which hasn't cooled down yet. Today I got out my seed catalogues and my paints - looks like they both won my attention since I chose you and luck would have it you feature pansies. I love your colour choices - Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks Dear Diane for painting my fav 🌸 flowers! I appreciate you an d thanks for giving me hope and joy❤, you are my best medicine! Thanks, Grace in Vt
I loved this video Diane!! I sometimes find it difficult to describe “vintage” as something other than old or even weathered, but I look at your pansy painting and I can definitely say that it is vintage!!. Is it because of your use of dark colors and very pale areas of the same color?. The very pale appears as though faded by time and exposure. Very clever Dianne, I would love to see more of this style of painting, thank you for much 🎈
They look lovely nice work 😍 I like how you drew the flowers with pencil in the beginning If you could do a video tips to do flowers with pencil it would be great Definitely will try to recreate this 💗

Bises a tres bientot

Welcome to the channel Peggy, so glad you found us!
Beautiful!! I love your style! Thank you!
Great demonstration of several techniques - wet-in-wet, wet-in-dry, wet-with-very-pale, etc. Pansies are lovely!
Glad you enjoyed it! You can’t paint pansies too often, there’s always something to learn!
The 300lb Arches is my favorite paper but I have learned to like the Meeden and Baohong blocks too, mostly because of the price! I think pansies are hard but you make them look easy and inspire me to keep trying.
I totally agree!
This is so pretty!!! I can't wait to try it. The colors are so perfect. Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome!
Absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you! Delightful to see on this dark winter day. I have to pull out my quill brush!
Have fun!

So glad!
I especially like the part about buying vintage! Use up what is already made.
Yes! Whenever possible we should do that - but sometimes we can’t resist!
I love everything about this. Thank you.
You are so welcome!

Welcome back!
Beautiful
Gorgeous!
Thank you! Cheers!
Wonderful!!❤
I did enjoy!
My 228th. Watching to forget for a moment the frost and notice that you use a brush which I possess too. So it's an invitation to try it too. 😊wim
Is it still freezing there? We have a cold east wind which is not pleasant x
This is brilliant, it looks so good ☺☺
Thanks so much 😊
Delightful👏👏👏💕
